A Heartfelt Apology
Hello, dear readers. This is the author.
First of all, I am sorry. Truly, deeply, I am so sorry.
There was a time when even I lost my love for this story. Yet because you held onto your affection until the very end, I was able to bring it to completion. The truth is, I feel ashamed to even call myself an author. I know there is no excuse for how I destroyed the serialization schedule and betrayed your trust.
This was my first novel, and I was lost the entire time. In the beginning, I started with nothing more than a single desire: to write a relationship-destroying regret story. There was no proper planning. I simply wrote whatever I wanted, yet it received far more attention than it deserved. The weight of those expectations became a burden, and I kept changing the plot midway through in a desperate attempt to meet them.
If I could go back, these are mistakes I would never make again. But at the time, I was simply too immature. On top of that, many painful things happened in my personal life—burdens too heavy for me to carry. In the end, I chose the coward’s path and ran away completely.
To every reader who stayed with this flawed, insufficient writer until the final line, thank you. This completion is full of shortcomings. Some sections feel rushed. Still, I gave it everything I had in my own way.
I plan to release the side stories slowly, using them to unravel the threads I left unfinished. I desperately wanted to reach an ending, any ending, and now that I have—even if imperfectly—I feel a quiet sense of relief.
Once again, I am truly sorry. I still love writing, but after all the karma I’ve accumulated, I’m not even sure I have the right to continue. In any case, I am deeply sorry, and I am deeply grateful. Thank you for staying with me until the end.
