Can You Find One Person?
Kim Minseo checked the rankings on the Pung Board. Her cousin oppa's name was right up there.
'Just how much money has this oppa made?'
She'd heard about it from Shin Jaewoo the last time he'd visited home. The inheritance. From her perspective, it turned out her aunt's husband's family was way richer than she'd thought. And recently, that fortune had gone to her cousin oppa.
Even accounting for that, though, the amount was insane.
Still, the results were satisfying. "Does this mean I'm number one now?"
She puffed up her chest a bit. It wasn't her money, but she could strut thanks to Shin Jaewoo.
"Yeah, yeah. But man, it's the first time I've seen a real family big shot like this."
"I didn't expect oppa to go this hard either. He said he'd drop a hundred thousand, but I worried it'd be too much, so I only asked for ten."
"Ten... thousand."
Kuni chuckled at her cute slip-up.
That was when all the chatter shifted to the new big spender, Jaewoos.
The president of streamer Kuni's fan club, Seocho-dong, aka Hangover Lord, had entered. The attention on Jaewoos finally shifted away. Or almost did.
"Yeah, hyung. But Seocho hyung, do you know who Jaewoos hyung is?"
Seocho-dong was ranked high on the Pung Board too. He'd tangled with plenty of big spenders. From Kuni's view, this was someone he'd hosted multiple times, the proof of his clout.
That big shot spoke up.
"Ah, from who?"
A name dropped: Kim Dae-mul. Just seeing it in chat set off a frenzy.
Kim Dae-mul, the guy who'd dropped 23 full charges in another Excel stream. He'd popped into this one a time or two. Kuni zeroed in right away.
'Dae-mul knows him?'
He eyed Kim Minseo with fresh curiosity. Seocho-dong turned to her too.
"It's Minseo. She was streaming Star, and they asked her to guest for the day...."
Seocho-dong barely listened.
Kim Minseo blinked in bewilderment again. But it didn't feel bad. Seocho-dong's follow-up, though, threw her.
"Thank you so much. It feels like you're helping because of my cousin oppa... I didn't know he'd support me this big, and now because of oppa, even Seocho-dong oppa is dropping this much...."
"Yes, hyung. Jaewoos hyung and Minseo are cousins."
"Huh?"
Kim Minseo's eyes widened. Somehow, she'd been framed as a chaebol heiress.
Three syllables from Kim Minseo. Shin Jaewoo was baffled. He'd just pulled her out of the river—no bundle of cash demanded or anything.
But Kim Minseo had her reasons.
Of course, Kim Minseo hadn't grown up swimming in money. It wasn't bad, exactly.
'But auntie... she's just salaried.'
Oh Miyoung's pay wasn't shabby. But it had limits. Even so, she'd looked after her daughter Kim Minseo and her nephew too.
'Sigh.'
So when Kim Minseo said "take responsibility," he really should.
Spoiling her a bit wouldn't dent his fortune anyway.
He knew she'd reply like that. But curiosity struck.
Come to think of it, last visit, he hadn't spilled the full amount.
'Chaebol, huh...'
Shin Jaewoo reflected. Was he really chaebol? Not entirely wrong.
'Now I'm foundation director too.'
He brushed off her curiosity with a quip.
She shook her head at once.
He tsked at her persistence.
"...You want something, but it's a burden?"
They'd known each other long enough. He could guess what she wasn't saying. She wanted something but hesitated, worried it'd trouble him.
That should open her up.
He half-expected luxury bags. Kim Hyeju would've. But no.
Unfamiliar term. She explained.
Excel streams. Lots of drama, but for survival, even dinner came via star balloons.
"Tsk."
Not weird, really. He'd done similar content solo plenty.
'Like EatEatMarang, sorta.'
Just crew streams vs. solo. Excel was made for star balloons anyway.
Sudden curveball.
Ah, the "chaebol heiress" bit started with this prez.
'But why does he know me?'
He'd only been dropping balloons recently. Odd.
Super weird.
"Ah...."
Shin Jaewoo's doubts cleared.
One of the few inbang big shots he knew.
How would he know? He didn't gauge Kim Dae-mul (Kim Dong-su)'s level.
But lately...
'...I probably have more cash.'
Pre-inheritance, he'd never think that. Even with 7 trillion cash, humble. Now? Gone.
Lee Jinmyeong said it: Foundation assets at 12 trillion. Hidden funds via nominees and shells even more.
One question.
Her reply came quick.
First Excel for him too—no clue.
He frowned.
'She staying out that late?'
Excel felt sketchy. No good.
Fresh car made it easy.
Her excitement cracked him up. "The girl who just got called chaebol heiress is thrilled over taxi fare."
Late-night surcharges jacked it up, sure.
"......"
Quick on the uptake.
Question, not denial. She got it.
She went all-in.
"Haa."
Sigh first.
He paused. Finally clicked why she wanted over.
"...Fuck."
Kim Minseo couldn't sleep alone. Trauma from trainee days.
Anger surged, curses followed. Auntie probably didn't know.
"Come to think, that bastard's around too."
Shin Jaewoo's eyes gleamed. Time to track him.
Too sensitive for Lee Sooyoung.
"...Chief Secretary."
"Yes, Director."
"Can you find one person for me?"
Lee Jinmyeong, busy in the US for him. Sorry. But no one else fit.
