Rescue: "Ah... I Don't Want to Go..."
"Ah... I don't wanna go..."
The moment I opened my eyes, my face was buried in a massive pair of tits. What reason did I have to leave this life behind and step out into the world? If possible, I wanted to spend my whole life—no, my entire existence—drowning in the scent of women.
I took a few deep breaths right into her cleavage when A-ram woke up.
"Ah... you're awake, Master?"
"Yeah~ Did you sleep well, A-ram?"
"Yes."
"But why aren't you calling me Master anymore?"
"W-well... um..."
A-ram's face flushed bright red. She wiggled her mouth a few times before burying her face in my chest.
"Ugh..."
Her shallow moan, writhing in embarrassment, tickled my chest. Calling me Master in her right mind must feel too hot and heavy. Still, how did she know it's exactly my thing? I never specified the title.
Na-young's outfit when she came back dressed was a real sight. Skinny jeans hugging her legs, a top clinging tight to her body. What pissed me off most were the shoes. Heels? Fuck? Was I seeing this right? The only praiseworthy thing was the leather jacket. Among what we had, it was probably the highest defense gear. I wore one for the same reason.
The moment I saw her like that, nothing nice came out of my mouth.
"What the hell's with that getup...?"
"Huh? Weird?"
Na-young checked her outfit over and over, like she had no clue what was off.
"You think that's not fucking weird, you thick-headed bitch?!"
"Eek...! B-but these are all the clothes you bought, bro!!!"
"......"
Come to think of it, yeah. I never planned on going out anyway... I just bought clothes for a fashion show, never cared about mobility. The comfiest stuff at home was probably dolphin pants. No sneakers either.
I changed the subject with a bright voice, opening the car door.
"Oh yeah? My bad~ You look pretty hot anyway!"
"I'll grab you some shoes on the way."
"Quit getting mad at me for everything...! You only hate on me!!!"
Na-young puffed her cheeks, making it obvious she was sulking. The leather jacket, the jeans—she'd picked the toughest options available. To placate her a bit, I brought the protective gear I'd made and helped her into it myself. A vest-style torso guard and arm guards covering below the elbows.
Once my hands brushed over her, Na-young went from sleek warrior babe to ridiculous survival club geek in seconds.
"There. Done."
"...And you, bro?"
"I put mine on under my clothes already."
It was really time to head out. Any later, and we might be spending the night outside.
"Bow and arrows? Check. Spear and knife? Check. Luggage lump? Check. All set. I'm off."
"Bro, be careful!!! You absolutely can't get bitten...!"
"Remember everything I taught you?"
"Yes!"
I'd taught So-hyun emergency protocols. If someone climbs the fence, the alarms go off. Lock everything inside and wait. Then turn on the front lights to alert about intruders. Not like anyone would come to this remote mountain spot, but better safe.
I double-checked no zombies were lurking nearby and opened the gate.
Clank.
With a heavy metallic thud, the locks released, and the gate split open left and right with mechanical whirs.
"Bro, you really have to be careful!!!"
"Got it~~ Don't worry, just rest up~!"
"Yes!!! Um... Master!!! Come back safe!"
So-hyun kept repeating to be careful out of worry. A-ram called me Master, remembering my morning words.
With a luxurious send-off from the two, I started the car.
"Let's go~!"
"Yeah!!!"
The car shot forward briskly.
*
Zombies detect people by sound, light, and smell—in that order. So silencing yourself is key. Problem is, the car I bought runs on gas. Should've gone electric to follow the trend... My biggest fuck-up.
...Still, zero-to-sixty in 7 seconds. Pretty solid for off-road. Starting downhill let me coast in neutral with the engine off, but a slight uphill forced the pedal.
Vroom.
The engine roared, and like a reply, zombie shrieks echoed.
"Kieeeek!!!!!!"
"Bro...! Zombie!!!"
"Find the direction first. Where?"
Not front. Back was where we came from, so probably side.
"Check the bushes close by."
I focused on driving the narrow, winding mountain road. Barely wider than the car, hard to speed up.
"Found it!!!"
"Fuck, say the direction!!!"
"Uh... l-left?"
"Clock position?"
"Uh... 7 o'clock!!!"
I glanced back. It barreled through thick trees, crashing mindlessly. Tough bastard. No young folks in rural areas these days. The zombie was a wrinkled old grandma, sprinting like an Olympian, snapping branches with superhuman force. Grotesque.
"It's almost caught up...! Ugh...!"
"Bro, faster!!! Another one!! Between 8 and 9 o'clock!!!"
"Going as fast as I can!"
What's the point of good acceleration on shit roads? The car couldn't hit top speed, so they closed in.
"Ugh... bro!! It's gonna hit soon!!!"
"Hey, a zombie bumping from behind won't wreck the car!!"
This thick-headed bitch must've skipped basic physics. Same direction collision? No issue for this beast I paid top dollar for. Unless it jumps in front...
"Bro, front!!!"
Thud.
The zombie smashed into the front bumper and flew. Dark red blood and flesh smeared the windshield like a pancake, blocking the view. Good thing we weren't speeding. At full tilt...
Chilling. I flipped the wipers, rolled down the window, and stuck my head out.
"Didn't plan on a chase scene right off the bat...!"
"Kyaaack!!!"
The catching zombie must've lunged at the body. A thunk vibrated through, and Na-young started screaming bloody murder.
The mountain road was ending soon. Straight path ahead...
Got it. Wide-open paved road at the mountain exit. I floored it to greet it.
Vrooom.
Off-road legend's mighty roar. The car rocketed forward, covering 200 meters in a flash. I slammed the brakes.
Screech.
Three zombies trailing. Perfect number.
Out of the car, I grabbed three arrows from the quiver.
First shot. Twang. The bowstring sang clear. Felt the hit on release.
Second. Twang. Twang. Fired in succession at the pursuers. Second missed. Oh well. 66% in a pinch? Not bad.
Self-consoling, I told Na-young:
"Watch close."
I stood arrogantly, gripping the spear two-handed. Grandma zombie dove to bite, impaling her face.
Splat!
The sharp tip crushed its brain, heavy weight yanking. Stronger than expected—nearly dropped it.
"See? Like that..."
"Ughhh... u... Mommy..."
Na-young curled into a ball, hands over ears.
...My expectations were stupid.
"Hey! It's dead, come out! Confirm kill with the spear and retrieve the arrows."
"Uh... huh?"
"Confirm kill and get the arrows."
"O-okay..."
Na-young cautiously exited the back, poking the zombie's pinky toe with the spear's butt end.
"...Um?"
"Hurry! Before more come."
No movement after pokes, so she gripped two-handed and stabbed the head.
Squelch. Sticky black-red blood oozed up the blade, and Na-young clamped her mouth.
"Urp bleeech!!!"
"...You're something else."
Two confirm kills, two pukes. She hurled each head-stab. Wasted a full 20 minutes before getting back in.
At least she scored sneakers easily. Grandma zombie had them on—explains the running form.
On the main road, the world's end hit home. Abandoned cars everywhere, shops ransacked with doors open—chaos frozen. Nothing intact. Roads, houses, people. Just day 6. Outside was zombies only.
Weaving around cars, crossing medians, when I spotted painted text on the road.
[Survivors head to Chuncheon Middle School]
"Some dumb human's around."
Should focus on their own neck, not survivors. Or bait to lure slaves. As I took in the sights, silent Na-young lit up at the sign. Survivors meant her family might be too.
"More survivors than I thought!"
"...Guess so."
If many, wouldn't cram into a middle school. Kept that to myself.

We hit Gangbyeonbuk-ro and reached Gwangjin-gu. Hwayang-dong—and Na-young's family market—just ahead.
Zombie numbers spiked entering Seoul. Post-highway, my car took hits nonstop. Thud from the side every bit. Got the hang: ram front-comers with corners.
...Car's fucked. Dented everywhere, probably. Lucky roads weren't blocked far from main drags.
"Ah... thank god..."
Na-young sighed relief at reaching by car.
Problem: swarming zombies. Over 200 easy.
Planned to bail on hordes, but... worth a shot?
