[Conclusion Afterword]
Hello, this is Kang Jigap.
First off, this is probably going to be a rambling afterword...
I always thought finishing a work would feel relieving, but that's not necessarily the case. If anything, I feel more regret that I had to end this work the way I did.
Like, "I definitely could have done better...!" you know?
Still, I think I did my best. Good job, Kang Jigap!
Anyway... starting last June, after a total of 8 months, 'The Snow White Raised by the Stepmother' has concluded! Wow! My second completion! And the first one to go over 200 chapters!
It feels like I've been serializing for a year, so should I say it's only been 8 months, or already 8 months? A lot has happened in these 8 months. A real "compressed experience" 8 months...
I met a great illustrator and commissioned tons of illustrations, made it into the Top 50 rankings for the first time, got into a power struggle with my editor and ended up getting the work slapped with an 19+ rating, got scammed while commissioning art, and even had surgery.
So many things happened.
Out of all those things, the best part was that writing was genuinely fun.
I packed it full of all my greedy desires, stuffed it with tons of yuri pregnancy sex, and basically filled it to the brim with my own tastes and sexual desires, so it was fascinating that it still had a decent amount of popularity.
There were some tough times toward the end, but that didn't dilute the happy memories of the past 8 months. If I had to pick one of the best things I did last year, it would be serializing 'The Snow White Raised by the Stepmother'.
It was my first attempt at a parenting genre story. I'm very well aware that the transition from that parenting genre to the yuri genre wasn't smooth. Going from a cute and bubbly atmosphere to a sudden serious one...
I found it extremely difficult and agonized over it a lot. That's why I released IF stories and despaired over the crumbling reader retention rate. But even then, I had to keep serializing without giving up.
For the sake of the Nongbian that would come after...!
Nongbian was a scene I had planned from the very beginning of the work.
I chose that scene because I wanted to see a role-reversal relationship where it would be fun if Mom became small while Titania was all grown up, and since everyone liked it, I was very happy too.
That was when I fatefully met a great illustrator, and I whipped... no, I asked the illustrator for one illustration per day. The artist did better than I expected, and eventually...
Anyway, it doesn't seem like it's my fault. Haha!
With the settlement money I saved up like that, I commissioned tons of illustrations, including 19+ ones, and finally reached the conclusion. Why does it feel so awkward to attach the Chinese character [Finished] at the end?
I couldn't bring myself to upload the novel, just staring blankly at the [Finished] text, reflecting on everything that had happened so far. It wasn't perfect, but I think I worked hard. That's how I feel.
The reason I was able to come this far is all thanks to the readers who were with me. Thanks to you all, I was able to reach the conclusion, and I was also able to wrap up the work with a good heart.

They're 19+, but I couldn't find the right timing to use them.
I already commissioned them, so I figured I should upload them.
I wanted to write a breastfeeding sex scene, but the atmosphere didn't feel right for it, so I couldn't. Please look at the illustrations and forgive me...

Lastly, a word about my next work.
The next work will be TS/Reverse-Age-Gap/Parenting/Yuri.
This time, it will be a story about Hansel and Gretel and the "Stepmother".
Not the witch. It's the stepmother who abandoned Hansel and Gretel in the original story.
It's difficult to start the next work right away, so for the time being, I think I'll write a few yuri short stories while planning the plot for the next one. I've roughly sketched it out, but it feels quite lacking.
Novelpia said they were doing a writer support event last year, but I'm not sure if they're still doing it until March. I really regret not being able to do the challenge, so I'd like to get some kind of support event this time...
Anyway, the cover art is already done.
This time, it looks like it'll be a slightly cute stepmother!
