Olivia's Love Potion Blunder
I came to my senses lying in some unidentified space.
When I sat up and looked around, all I could see was a maddening red curtain enveloping everything.
Checking my smartwatch, not much time had passed.
Even tapping at it, no signal got through.
This space... it felt familiar.
"Right! Olivia!"
Thinking back, I'd been knocked out after Olivia—clearly not herself—had injected me with some unknown drug.
But Olivia was nowhere in sight.
"Olivia! Where are you?"
"Ugh..."
A groan came from one corner.
Rushing over, I found Olivia sprawled on the floor.
I crouched down in front of her.
"What are you doing?"
"H-He... I used too much strength..."
"..."
I quietly stood up.
As I turned to leave, Olivia grabbed my ankle.
"Why?"
"W-Won't you... help me?"
"Who'd help the person who stuck a syringe in me after I gave her one hug like she asked?"
"Th-That was..."
"That was?"
"Does it... not affect you at all?"
"I passed out, didn't I?"
"That was magic."
"Then what was that syringe?"
"Th-That..."
Olivia started hemming and hawing at my question.
Far more natural than that awkward state I'd seen before passing out.
Yeah. This was Olivia.
"If you don't tell me, I'm not helping."
"You will if I do?"
"Let's hear it first."
"...A love potion."
"Pardon? Can't hear you."
"I said! It's a potion to make you fall in love!"
Olivia's voice echoed through the narrow space.
Still face-down, I couldn't see her expression.
But her ears were beet red—clear as day.
"..."
"..."
Silence stretched between us.
"Ugh... so embarrassing... I'd rather die..."
"Calm down, Olivia."
I soothed her as she writhed in shame.
Even I'd be mortified in her shoes—no clue what to say.
"What was the original plan, anyway?"
"Knock you out, slip you the love potion, then pounce..."
"So why are you like this?"
"I focused too hard on making the potion... used up all my strength just dragging you here."
"Ugh..."
So very Olivia.
Was this a witch's dignity?
"So what do you need help with?"
"You will help...?"
"Should I just leave?"
"No! Help me!"
Olivia pushed herself up, shouting.
Fine. Today, I'd play along.
"How exactly?"
"Just stay still..."
Olivia crawled toward me on her knees.
Then hooked my leg, toppling me.
She climbed on top of my fallen form.
"Olivia...?"
"You have to stay still...?"
Her face drew near.
Close enough our breaths mingled, she squeezed her eyes shut and took a deep breath.
Then—
Thwack!
"Ow!"
She headbutted me full force.
Our lips touched, but the pain from my forehead made it irrelevant.
Olivia, though, seemed to think otherwise.
"Ehehe..."
She touched her lips, grinning in satisfaction.
Then got off me.
Eh?
"Um, Olivia?"
"What?"
"Is that... it?"
"What else would there be?"
"..."
I'd suspected, but not this level.
"Come on, Olivia. Sit here properly."
"Okay."
"Now, answer honestly, okay?"
"Got it."
"How do babies get made?"
"You kiss the man who gave your mom her stigma and take his vital energy. That's what I heard."
"..."
News to me.
Made sense? No, not even close.
Still weird no matter how I spun it.
"Why?"
"So that headbutt wasn't... the kiss meaning..."
"Yep! Now I've got your baby, so you're mine! Got the vital energy fair and square!"
God help me...
What to do with this innocent lamb?
She seemed content now—no real harm done.
But if this happened again later?
And she thought she'd won completely.
Couldn't let it fizzle out like this.
"Olivia. Listen up."
"What? I'm in a good mood—shoot!"
"I've got at least two other women besides you."
"What?"
Her beaming face froze.
Then her expression shifted: disbelief, anger, resignation.
"I see... too late for me..."
"Yeah."
"Then I..."
I grabbed her slumping shoulders.
She looked up at me, eyes brimming with tears.
"Olivia. What do you think of me?"
"...I like you."
"Even knowing I have at least two lovers?"
"Yeah. Still... Mmph!"
I kissed her.
Not that headbutt excuse for a first kiss—a proper one.
She stiffened as my tongue invaded, caught off guard.
Even as I explored every corner and teased her tongue, no reaction.
"Pha! That was..."
"That's a proper kiss. Got it?"
"Uh..."
She didn't, so I kissed her again.
Fresh experience—no way she knew. Her mouth was mine to ravage.
Her hands pounded my chest; I pulled back.
"Now do you get it?"
"Yeah..."
"Then we're good?"
"Uh... actually, still not sure."
Eyes closed, she puckered up.
Too cute—I pecked lightly and pulled away.
Her face filled with dissatisfaction.
"Why?"
"Ugh..."
"Let's head back first. Dean Han'll worry. Semester's ending—we gotta wrap up lectures properly."
Vivian waiting at home worried me too.
I'd told her stuff, but she'd probably just wait, doing nothing.
Come to think of it, hadn't told Ji-ah either.
"No!"
"Why not?"
"If we go out, I'll see you with those other girls again. Hate that!"
"Olivia..."
I got her feelings.
But not a responsible adult's plan.
Especially not for Prism's instructor—huge symbolism there.
If word leaked, it wouldn't end quietly.
"Why not rethink it?"
"No! I'd have to act like an instructor again!"
"You are an instructor."
"You'd call me 'Cadet Shin Do-jun' all stiff... feels distant..."
"You were pretty good at the act, though."
"Of course! I'm good at everything!"
Good at everything, yet clueless on babies?
...Better focus on motivating her to get us out.
"If you're good at everything, no problem leaving now, right?"
"Well..."
Hemming, she said magnanimously,
"Can't we stay just a month?"
"Next semester starts then."
"A week?"
"Let's do today and leave."
"Three days! Just three. Pleeease?"
"...Fine. But out in exactly three days. Promise?"
Three days: last day of term.
Final class might be tight, but doable?
"Speaking of, what was that makeup report on tests?"
"Dean said if she assigns it, cadets'll figure out the meaning."
"..."
Explains...
Too profound for Olivia's bet.
"And the seating switch?"
"No, I dug into cadets' files myself."
"Why didn't I recognize you then?"
"Just names on paper—how'd I spot a new face?"
"You're something else. Really."
We talked till topics ran dry.
Nothing left, I lay down.
Oddly soft floor, warm air—perfect for sleep.
As drowsiness hit, I felt Olivia staring.
"What?"
"Nothing. Just... like looking."
"No plans? Study Thousand Changes then."
"Not anymore."
"Why?"
"Was researching it to meet you... now I can see you forever here."
"..."
Talent for dropping bombs casually.
Air grew awkward.
I looked away; she sidled closer.
"Olivia?"
"More than that... wanna know something."
"What?"
"Th-That... kiss... teach me more...?"
Face crimson, voice barely a whisper.
Liked it, huh.
"Kisses are for lovers. We're not..."
"Not lovers?"
"Didn't you say witches don't tolerate multiple lovers for their chosen guy?"
"Who? Varies by person."
"Dean did."
"Mom's like that, yeah."
"Doesn't bother you...?"
"As long as... you're with me."
"Thanks, Olivia."
I pecked her lightly.
As I pulled back, she leaned in, naturally resting against me.
"Olivia."
"Yeah?"
"I won't let you regret this."
"Okay."
I kissed her again.
Not a graze—deep, like before.
She awkwardly matched my tongue's dance.
Hand on her superhuman chest—she squirmed.
Soon, she broke it first.
Cupping her breasts, she arched back.
"Don't touch there."
"Why?"
"Tickles..."
"Can't?"
"...Really wanna?"
"If you hate it, no."
"Then... okay."
She lunged, lips crashing.
Dodged or it'd be bloody.
"Why dodge!"
"Calm down. Kisses aren't like that."
I cupped her head, guiding gently to a soft press.
"Slow and light, like this."
"Got it."
But habits die hard.
Only after tasting blood did her aggressive kisses stop.
"S-Sorry..."
"It's fine. Happens."
I touched my split lip, using Healing.
A tingle, and the wound vanished.
"How'd you do that?"
"My power. Cool, right?"
"Yeah! Wanna study it!"
"Kisses first. Later for that."
I sealed her lips with mine before more words.
