The Baby Making Project - Seong Yua (Part 1)
The sphere was inscribed with just a single character, written in an exceptionally thick and massive font.
‘At this size… it’s probably worth an entire apartment.’
The size of a sphere directly reflected its psychological weight. In other words, for Seong Yua, work occupied an overwhelmingly large portion of her inner world.
The number of lines extending from it was staggering. Under normal circumstances, I wouldn’t have even known where to begin. But now—
‘I can see it all at once.’
Or rather, it wasn’t so much seeing as feeling. The general information contained in the sentences branching out from the [Work] sphere flowed naturally into my mind. It felt like a perfectly organized Excel file was being written directly into my brain. Thanks to that, I didn’t have to wander lost among the countless spheres.
‘Let’s see…’
I moved toward the [Project] sphere that had branched off from [Work].
The app was called the Modification App, but its power wasn’t limited to simply editing sentences. Deletion, addition, reinforcement, reduction… it allowed for far more varied and colorful operations.
‘If I had to describe it, it’s closer to editing than simple modification.’
[A project of medium scale or larger is an opportunity to prove my worth]
It was one of Seong Yua’s many concepts. A fairly powerful one, with a diameter of about five meters.
‘I’ll reinforce this.’
I placed my hand on it and focused my will.
Shwoooo—
The sphere swelled at a rapid pace. Its diameter looked like it had roughly doubled. I repeated the process on the other spheres.
[Even if I become somewhat negligent with miscellaneous tasks, completing the project comes first]
[I must devote my utmost effort to ensuring the project succeeds]
Each sphere grew larger, now roughly ten meters in diameter. At the same time, the sentences written on them shifted slightly.
[I must postpone all other tasks in order to complete the project]
[No matter what happens, I must make this project a success]
‘This should be enough.’
From now on, Seong Yua would obsess over any project of medium scale or larger. Her already workaholic nature had been significantly amplified.
‘Next…’
This time, I created a new sphere and extended lines to connect it to both the [Kim Junyoung] sphere and the [Project] sphere.
‘Make it reasonably large.’
I couldn’t overhaul her mind map too drastically. Changing the inner world placed a burden on the target’s psyche. If I altered too much at once, it could leave her with irreversible aftereffects.
‘For now, this much is fine.’
It wasn’t enormous, but among the spheres branching from [Kim Junyoung], it was the largest. Roughly one meter in diameter. I checked the inscribed sentence.
[Kim Junyoung is the person in charge of a top-secret project that the company is investing a massive budget into]
I created more spheres and linked them to the one I had just made.
[As an assistant on this project, I must support Kim Junyoung to the best of my ability]
[Because this is a secret project, its confidentiality must be maintained at all costs]
[This is an extremely critical project and must succeed without fail]
Though none of it had anything to do with anything sexual, these concepts would form the foundation for the picture I intended to paint later.
‘Time for the finishing touch.’
I created one final sphere. Pouring in as much extra mass as I had saved from the others, I enlarged it. A three-meter-wide concept—larger even than the [Kim Junyoung] sphere—took shape. I checked the sentence.
[The name of the project is the ‘Baby Making Project.’]
‘Perfect.’
I ended modification mode and returned to reality.
+++
Splash!
Water that had been pouring out crashed into the sink. While I had been inside modification mode, time in the real world had been frozen.
I crumpled the paper cup in my hand.
‘Time to head back.’
At that moment—
“Ta-da!”
Gong Jiyun’s head suddenly popped out from beside my waist.
“Hehe.”
She simply grinned for no particular reason.
“U-um… I just followed you!”
Her awkward behavior and words made her intentions crystal clear.
‘She’s worried she got scolded by Seong Yua and came to check on me.’
I reached out and gently stroked the head of this adorable little creature.
“Huh? Um? Um… hehe.”
“What, did you think I’d be sobbing all alone?”
“I’m glad that’s not the case!”
I opened the front of Gong Jiyun’s jacket. Looking closely at her shirt, I could see the faint outline of her nipples poking through.
I pressed and twisted one of them firmly.
“Eek—hng?”
Gong Jiyun startled at the sudden caress.
“D-don’t do that…”
“A silly junior like you needs constant education.”
“If my n-nipples get hard… people in the office might notice…”
According to the modified concepts in Gong Jiyun’s mind, walking around the office without panties or a bra was all part of her new employee training. While it was natural for a new hire to receive training, she was still afraid of being caught.
‘Deep down, she knows it’s lewd to go braless at work.’
Strictly speaking, the suggestion hadn’t taken perfectly. But these tiny inconsistencies created an incredibly arousing dissonance.
Her nipples now stood out clearly against her shirt. I closed her jacket again.
“Hah… it rubs against the jacket…”
“Come to the equipment room during lunch. Time for your lesson.”
“Yeees~”
I patted her butt and we returned to the office together.
‘No panties makes it feel so much better in my hand.’
+++
A heavy silence hung over the office. Only the frantic sound of typing filled the room. Apparently another employee had just been torn apart by Seong Yua.
‘It’s freezing in here. Absolutely frigid.’
The air inside the office was terrifyingly cold. One might wonder if she possessed some kind of ice superpower from a fantasy novel. Seong Yua herself remained completely expressionless, as if wearing a mask. Yet every single team member was carefully watching her mood.
“…”
“…”
Tap. Tap. Tap-tap-tap—
‘…It’s oppressively quiet.’
Then—
Thud.
Seong Yua closed her laptop and stood up. She walked straight toward me.
Click. Click. Click.
The sound of her high heels rang clearly through the heavy silence, somehow making the quiet feel even heavier.
“Mr. Kim Junyoung.”
“Yes.”
For the briefest moment, I felt the others in the office stealing glances in our direction.
“Are you busy?”
“…No, I can make time. What is it?”
It looked like I had gotten a bite.
“Could we talk for a moment?”
“Of course.”
I followed Seong Yua out into the hallway. Just before the door closed, I sensed sighs of relief and curious gazes from inside the office.
Soon after, we arrived at the equipment room.
Creak—
The door shut with a heavy sound.
“I heard about it. The project.”
It was a dusty, neglected space where no one ever came and no one would think to look. Even so, Seong Yua lowered her voice as she spoke, clearly concerned that someone might overhear.
After all, this was an absolutely confidential project that could never be discovered.
“Congratulations. I had no idea you were such a capable person, Mr. Kim Junyoung.”
“Haha, capable? It was just one of my insignificant talents happening to fit the bill.”
Even while offering praise, Seong Yua’s face remained utterly expressionless. Strangely, that only stimulated the dark desires inside me even more.
“However… even though I’m supposed to be an assistant, I haven’t received much information. Could you explain it to me?”
“I haven’t received many details either. They simply said I was the most suitable person for the role. I only heard the project’s name.”
“You haven’t been told anything either?”
“That’s right. They only mentioned that security is vital for this project.”
“Hmm…”
Seong Yua stroked her chin in thought.
“Baby Making Project…”
She murmured the project name with complete seriousness. A sense of depravity was already beginning to rise within me.
“When necessary, let’s schedule meetings. If I say I have a ‘sales consultation,’ it means the project.”
“Understood.”
There was no need to rush. We could take it slow. Seong Yua and I returned to the office.
+++
For the next week, I called Seong Yua every single day to discuss matters related to the project. This was to help her mind adapt to the modified content. Making too many changes at once could damage the target’s psyche. Therefore, after each small modification, it was necessary to give her time to adjust.
To test how well the modified content had settled, I asked her about the project.
“Do you have any guesses about what the project entails?”
I wanted to know what Seong Yua thought of a project named ‘Baby Making.’
“Given the scale, I suspect it might be a national partnership project to encourage higher birth rates. It could also serve as a bridgehead for the company to enter the childcare products market.”
“A birth rate encouragement project, huh…”
It was an interesting idea. A fresh rationalization created by her mind to make sense of the new concepts embedded within it. Her psyche must have worked overtime.
‘I’ve spent a whole week on this. It should be enough now.’
It was time to move forward.
“Today, the project details have been delivered.”
“Really?”
Seong Yua’s voice grew heavier. Though her face remained emotionless, I could sense the eagerness burning inside her.
“Yes.”
“What is it? What does the project involve?”
I cleared my throat, picked up my phone, and opened the Modification App.
“The Baby Making Project is the task of creating my second child.”
Modification Mode Initiated.
The world around me flipped.
+++
In the empty void, only me and the massive mind map structure remained.
“Keyword search. [Project], [Kim Junyoung].”
The structure spun rapidly, and my body automatically moved toward the destination.
[Project]
‘Let’s see…’
Just like with Gong Jiyun, the surroundings had changed. I approached the concepts I had added previously.
[As an assistant on this project, I must support Kim Junyoung to the best of my ability]
[This is an extremely critical project and must succeed without fail]
‘They’ve grown bigger than before.’
The spheres were larger than when I had first created them.
‘Seong Yua’s mind has adapted sufficiently. This is going smoothly.’
Synapses—the primary agents of information transmission and storage in the brain—were constantly disappearing and being created. This mind map was a manifestation of Seong Yua’s inner world. Just like her brain, this place continued to change organically.
‘It must be the result of me constantly reminding her about the project for a week, combined with her original workaholic tendencies.’
Peering into someone’s inner world, reshaping it to my tastes, and watching the resulting changes… it was far more entertaining than I had expected.
‘Today… I’ll create some latent concepts.’
The closer a sphere was to white, the more it represented a surface concept. The closer to black, the deeper and more internal it became. Black concepts—latent concepts—had a profound influence on the target’s core psyche.
‘Surface concepts are a form of knowledge.’
[It will rain tomorrow.]
This was a pure white surface concept. Seong Yua was not originally the type to carry an umbrella when going out. She would simply put on her shoes, open the front door, and leave. That was her natural behavior. But when reason intervened and she recalled this concept, she would change her actions and pick up an umbrella.
‘Latent concepts are instinct, values, personality. They are the person themselves.’
[I am a woman.]
This was a pitch-black latent concept. She didn’t normally think of it in sentence form. When putting on a skirt, she didn’t consciously think, ‘Ah, since I’m a woman, I should wear a skirt.’ Yet every unconscious action she took was influenced by this concept. She wore skirts. She wore bras. She covered her mouth when laughing. She loved men. She got along well with women. All of these things were completely natural and obvious to her.
In this way, latent concepts operated on her unconscious mind and formed the very essence of ‘Seong Yua.’
I created a new sphere.
‘A deep gray. This should be sufficient.’
[No matter what Kim Junyoung says, if it concerns the project, I will not doubt it]
Touching latent concepts placed a significant burden on the target. That was why I had started with surface concepts last time.
One should never suddenly implant a latent concept like [I want to commit suicide]. It would feel completely out of place and provoke strong resistance. There needed to be at least some plausibility, and the content had to avoid causing excessive rejection.
‘To avoid shocking the target’s mind, it must feel as natural as possible.’
[I don’t know how to do anything.]
[The future feels too bleak.]
[Everyone hates me.]
By performing minimal work on surface concepts first, the resistance when inserting a latent concept like [I want to commit suicide] would be much lower. If I had tried to insert [Anything Kim Junyoung says regarding the project is natural and absolute] as a latent concept from the very beginning, there would have been massive backlash. But because I had prepared the surface concepts beforehand, I could now reach much deeper.
‘This size… seems to be the limit.’
It was quite small. Handling latent concepts was difficult work. But that was fine. Just like last time, if I continued to reinforce this concept, it would grow larger. Even if left alone, synergy with other concepts would naturally increase its size.
‘Next.’
Once again, I created a deep gray sphere.
[No matter how obscene the act, if it is related to the project, it is not lewd behavior but official duty]
