Lewd Wisdom (1)
Leyra Academy Infirmary, a secluded spot.
One of the beds lined up in a row had someone lying on it.
The man lying on the bed unwound the bandage around his head.
The lump on his forehead, caused by slamming it against a desk, had already healed cleanly.
He picked up the remnants of his shattered glasses.
Whoooosh.
A mysterious energy gathered around his hand.
As the divine power converged, the fragments of the glasses reassembled into their original form.
It was a fragment of the authority of knowledge, which could only be restored after fully understanding the internal structure.
> "Speak."
> "It is possible. Yes. Yes."
> "Understood. Tomorrow, before lectures begin at the academy, I'll meet separately and make the request. Don't worry. It's entirely feasible. Everything as Wisdom desires. Yes. Understood."
As the voice of the 1st Apostle faded from his mind, the man rose from the bed.
"Perfect timing. Who would've thought she was the supplier."
An oracle had come down from the god of Wisdom.
Procuring the books she desired.
That was the command given to him through the 1st Apostle.
His constellation, [Lewd Wisdom], possessed vast wisdom and knowledge befitting her name, but she had a tendency to obsess over specific fields.
That field was, of course, eroticism.
Whether it involved tentacles, same-sex, intersex, or otherworldly beings from any medium, as long as it was sexually stimulating, she craved it.
Her most loyal servant, the 1st Apostle, could locate any item and the nearest source using her unique authority, [Little World].
The man had received such commands countless times before, procuring and delivering the items his goddess desired.
The last one had been a magitech-crafted women's pleasure device, if he recalled.
This time, it seemed she wanted books centered on specific characters.
Items circulated only within secret organizations, but...
"No problem. She owes me one."
The man was confident.
After all, he was the apostle of [Lewd Wisdom], wielder of the ultimate wisdom that could topple even the mightiest powers.
"I'm Rian, apostle of the [Akashic Archive]."
Monica blankly grasped the hand extended to her.
"Let's get you up first."
She rose, pulled by his strength from her slumped position.
"A-Are you really the dean's... apostle?"
"Precisely, an apostle of the [Akashic Archive], but you could see it that way."
If his apostle had been a woman... it might've been unbearable, but a man like this changed everything.
An apostle with such looks...
It only made her want to become his apostle even more.
"Lady Monica."
"...Y-Yes? Ah, yes!"
Monica fumbled her response as Rian addressed her.
"This is a temple of another god."
"Ah, y-yes."
"One on friendly terms with that person, no less. So why hold a memorial for that person here without the temple owner's permission?"
"Th-That was..."
Monica fidgeted, pressing her index fingers together.
"Th-The owner wasn't around, so I th-thought it was fine... n-no other intentions..."
"Is that so?"
"Y-Yes!"
Hmm.
The young man nodded.
"It doesn't seem intentional, that's true."
"Y-Yes!"
"But the temple's owner is furious. Rightfully so, using the temple without permission."
"N-No way..."
"Yes. And that anger will all be directed at that person from the [Akashic Archive]. Since it was a memorial for them."
"Wh-What should I do...! What can I do!"
Damage to him because of my actions? No. Unacceptable.
"I-Is there no way? A way to undo my mistake!"
"Hmm... There is, but it requires no small amount of time and effort. Can you handle it?"
"I can! Please, let me do it!"
Rian smiled faintly where Monica couldn't see.
From purging lustful shadows to errands for constellation snacks—solved. Found the perfect fixer.
"Ugh... sleepy."
I rubbed my eyes as I arrived at the academy, bag slung over my shoulder.
The frog plush wearing a crown on my shoulder patted me.
"It's what I gotta do."
Yesterday, after meeting my fan (questionable if you could call her that) in the mental world, I returned to reality and impersonated the dean's apostle. To make her clean up the mess from my memorial service in the constellation's temple and turn her into a delivery slave for snacks to the constellation.
It was worth exposing my current face for.
But after finishing everything and returning to the dorm, one problem arose...
While I was in class, did the constellation recruit gods for the game from heaven?
Confused, I asked for details. Apparently, seeing how exhausted I've been, she decided to scout game material and sin-corrupted constellations herself. The magitech engineer helped.
More gods gathered than expected.
They all want to star in the next [Akashic Archive] story?
Before the demon god storyline, gods barely contacted us—thought they weren't interested, but they were just watching faces. Once the dam broke, they flooded in.
So she selected three gods... but we plan an event before the next story, so can't accommodate yet.
Past-life subculture games ran events for Halloween, Christmas, etc. I benchmarked that to highlight characters and improve player experience.
No Halloween here, but there's All Souls' Day. Planned skins and events for it... but constellation, what am I supposed to do with this workload?
Quite the dilemma.
Still haven't figured out the Maelstrom identities or sin-corrupted gods... but I pulled an all-nighter framing the event, so finish this then tackle the next story.
"Apostle! Apostle!"
Passing the hallway, someone ran up behind me.
Apostle?
Turning, yesterday's Courage Apostle, Monica, waved and rushed over.
...This woman.
"Sleep well, Apostle?"
Her violent side gone, she greeted demurely.
"Huh?"
I grabbed her wrist and moved to a secluded hallway corner.
"I'd prefer you not call me apostle."
"Huh? B-But..."
"Can't explain details, but the [Akashic Archive] is in crisis. Drawing attention isn't good."
Ah! R-Right... sealed prison...
Misinterpreting my vague words, she drooped sadly.
"S-Sorry. I was short-sighted."
"Sigh, no. It's fine. My fault for not warning you yesterday."
If word leaked about a nonexistent god's apostle, it'd be trouble.
"So, what brings you?"
"Ah! Well... th-that person ordered something..."
Talk of purging lustful types? Not my thing, and I don't want involvement. Best she handles as god's apostle.
Then—
"There you are, Courage Apostle."
A familiar voice from the side.
Turning, a handsome man pushed up his glasses.
Wisdom's apostle from yesterday.
"...What do you want."
Monica's voice turned icy.
"No need to worry. Not here to make trouble over yesterday."
He shrugged.
"But our constellation ordered an item you have. Just one book, if you please."
B-Book?
Monica's face flushed with panic.
"Said you're the author. I know you have it. Will pay handsomely. Can you give one now?"
Monica whipped around desperately.
"A-Apostle! Th-That is!"
Panicking, her bag mouth loosened from shaking.
Slide.
[The Dean and the Incorrigible Lady]
A book slipped through the gap.
Thud.
The dropped book's pages flipped open.
"What the..."
I couldn't close my mouth at the page.
A beautiful girl in shojo manga style—modeled after my past-life self—kissed the dean in a rose garden.
"H-Hau... h-hauu..."
Monica buried her head ostrich-like, eyes squeezed shut, as if it would make the situation vanish.
The Heavens.
A small room deeply isolated from other gods' domains.
In the center, amid clutter, a goddess—too big for a girl, too small for a woman—curled up, eyes closed.
-For ultimate wisdom!
-You are my greatest masterpiece!
"St-Stop..."
She grimaced and writhed like in a nightmare.
-On the day the saga completes, you shall govern wisdom, imprisoned in the jail of knowledge.
-A mission inescapable even by ascension.
"Enough!"
The goddess's eyes snapped open, bloodshot red.
Grip.
She seized a long object nearby.
Riiip...
Bad memories scrambled her mind.
She had to forget. Endure.
Await unknown salvation.
Yearning desperately for the freedom of her dreams.
