The Next Morning
Next morning, when I woke up from sleep, I realized that Minji wasn't beside me as usual.
I had said I would wake up early, but Minji seemed to have woken up much earlier than me.
I wonder at what time Minji wakes up?
Since she doesn't wake up easily after sleeping well, I had no way to know unless I asked her directly or she woke up first.
I went to the bathroom to wash my face and then headed to the kitchen.
In the kitchen, my sister and Minji were preparing breakfast.
“Jiyoung, are you up?”
“Jiyoung woke up.”
“Yeah.”
I also said I would wake up early, but since I'm taller and can cook better, I could have helped, but the sink was too high for me, needing a step stool.
So, that's why my sister said not to come if I can't help, to avoid interfering.
Helplessly, I sat at the table and decided to eat the prepared breakfast deliciously.
After finishing breakfast lightly, washing up, I prepared to go to school.
Today is finally the day I go to school with Minji.
I went out of the house happily with Minji.
“Hehe, how long has it been since we went to school together?”
“It's been a really long time since elementary school, hasn't it?”
“Let’s go to school together from now on.”
“Yeah.”
Jiyoung and Minji headed straight to school.
Although the school is very close, it was important that I go to school with Minji.
We went to school happily with Minji, and before I knew it, we arrived at school.
The school path that felt long when I went alone felt too short with the two of us.
“Hi. Jiyoung. Minji.”
“Both of you, hello.”
“Yeah, hello.”
“Hello.”
I greeted my friends and sat in my seat.
Minjeong said in an excited voice.
“Check this out. I checked WeTube this morning and the subscribers have surpassed 100,000.”
WeTube is the platform I manage, but I wasn't worried about it, but 100k already.
This is thanks to Shinye-unnie's collaboration, I think.
The videos on my WeTube haven't been up long, but views are over 10k at least.
Still a lot lacking, but having so many subscribers feels great.
On WeTube, 100k subscribers get Bronze badge, 300k Silver, 500k Gold, and so on up to 100 million for Challenger.
In reality, from Diamond it's an unreachable wall.
Plus, how can 100 million exist? More than South Korea's population.
“Now it's Bronze. Keep fighting from now on.”
“Yeah. I didn't expect to hit 100k. It must have grown because of Shinye-unnie's collab.”
“I think Shinye-unnie helped a lot too. Thanks to her, viewers saw Jiyoung's new side.”
“Right. Not many viewers knew Jiyoung plays piano really well.”
“It wasn't regular piano, so it was more fun.”
“I think it's way better as broadcast content than regular piano.”
Viewers couldn't have imagined that someone who can't play games would play piano well.
People say piano is harder than rhythm games.
I think piano is easier because I'm familiar with it and have musical talent, but piano is also a talent thing.
Still, if I could play games well, I could broadcast more fun things.
I can show piano when Shinye-unnie comes over sometimes.
But with Minji here, I can show viewers the process of learning games from scratch with Minji?
Showing Minji playing games well, and me learning games (not playing well), that could be good.
Broadcast is still lacking a lot, so many worries.
So I think I need to work hard.
While talking with friends, the homeroom teacher came in.
“Sit down. I'll call attendance.”
After calling attendance, the homeroom teacher came to me.
What's going on?
“Jiyoung, you watched the broadcast well. You play piano really well.”
“Eh? Thank you.”
“But it's not that you can't play games on purpose as a concept, right?”
“Eh?”
I was shocked by the homeroom teacher's honest remark.
No, it's the truth.
I was shocked by the teacher's words and couldn't say anything.
“Teacher, Jiyoung is always honest.”
Tsk. Minji, you're the worst.
People who play games well don't understand how people who can't play feel, right?
I want to play games with Minji and friends since I play well.
I don't want to be shown mercy, or take the bus.
I just want my skill to be average at least.
“Too much. Teacher.”
“Sorry. But even so, if you drive that fast on the road, they'll take your license.”
“It's okay. There won't be any issue with the license.”
“That's good. You shouldn't do it for other people either.”
“Yes.”
I answered the homeroom teacher with a dejected expression.
But actually, before I even touch the wheel, I know I shouldn't drive, so isn't that a benefit?
The homeroom teacher went back to the office, and I thought of something fun.
Monday 1st period is self-study, so plenty of time, and to commemorate 100k subscribers, I planned an event for the class friends.
The ladder game.
To execute the event, I folded papers with numbers 1 to 16 and made a 16-person ladder.
Excluding Minji, Minjeong, Minji who I would handle separately, I planned to give various gift cards to the 16 class friends.
The menu is purely random, so even if it doesn't match their taste, nothing can be done.
If not, they have to swap with other friends themselves.
I climbed onto the desk and called the class friends.
“Hey guys, I thought of something fun.”
“What is it?”
“What’s up?”
I explained the ladder game rules to the class friends.
16 people randomly pick numbers, and take the gift card from the ladder.
No bang (loser), so anyone can take it.
“Again, you're giving gift cards?”
“You don't have to give them.”
“This time because we reached 100k subscribers, so we're giving them.”
“Oh, really? Congratulations, Jiyoung.”
“Jiyoung, congratulations.”
The class friends sincerely congratulated me.
I won't forget the favor from when I started the broadcast.
I selected only menus with special gift card sets.
“Then everyone come and take one paper here. First come first served, no bang.”
The class friends took the papers one by one, and I started the ladder from 1.
The class friends looked at the ladder with anticipation.
Even though no bang, it would be happier if they get a menu they like.
“1 is Pizza Combo.”
“Oh, pizza. I love pizza a lot.”
“Next is me.”
And so on up to 16, giving gift cards to everyone.
Everyone was satisfied.
Shinye-unnie gave all the videos filmed with collaboration, and Minji uploaded the video of her playing games to WeTube.
Essentially, my WeTube is jointly operated with Minji.
In the future, we'll do more games, and Minji's contributions will be highlighted.
Minji plans to increase her percentage of profits.
Of course including editing by the twins.
And I felt gratitude to Minjeong and Minji who edited the videos.
So I need to thank them too.
For now, small amount, but decided to give cash bonuses.
If anyone can choose bonus, they'll choose cash.
“Minjeong and Minji, I want to give them 100k commemorative gifts too, cash would be good, right?”
“No, it's okay.”
“Really okay.”
“Quickly receive.”
“Yeah. Thanks. I'll receive well.”
“Thanks. Jiyoung.”
I gave 300,000 won to the two.
Not a large amount, but enough for pocket money.
They received it reluctantly, and told me to expect 300k, 500k, 100k in the future.
“Today, I'm planning a WeTube subscriber 100k commemorative event.”
“I think it's a good idea.”
“What event are you planning?”
“Game event?”
“Yeah. This event is a game event. So Minji has to help.”
“Yeah. Leave it to me.”
“Thanks. Minji.”
I explained the event for today's broadcast to the friends.
This time, I planned to rank 1st and 2nd and give better prizes than before.
Of course, the gift cards that cost money will all be my money.
Since this event is one where Minji has to win, I was worried about how many people would participate.
It shouldn't be like last time where no one gets anything.
But I didn't want Minji to deliberately lose.
“Minji. You can't lose. Last time only 2 participated, but this time I'll give a special prize.”
“Yeah. I'll try hard.”
“If it wasn't for Minji, I wouldn't have thought of this event. Thanks.”
“No problem. I asked to do the broadcast.”
I hugged Minji tightly.
Minji stroked me while hugging.
The event Minji will show today was awaited.
