Summoner: Gold Sun 17
A brown-skinned beauty burst into the house wielding a makeshift spear. Achillea. Through the strands of her hair fluttering in the breeze, her eyes burned with murderous intent.
Standing beside Achillea was Lumiia. This was unexpected.
"Lumiia. Your handiwork?"
"I've concluded that taking you down alone is impossible. But what if all the remaining champions swarm you?"
Even while forfeiting this Summoner Survival, she was scheming to bury me. Colluding with the other champions. She must harbor some serious grudge.
Betraying a summoner warranted punishment. If Lumiia's plan succeeded, it wouldn't just disqualify her from this Survival—she'd be barred from future ones too.
On the flip side, it meant she was willing to risk all that just to eliminate me. I could gauge the depth of her hostility.
Shiiit!
An arrow sliced through the air, grazing my forehead. If I hadn't sensed the danger and jerked my head aside, it'd have punched a hole right through my skull. Precision like that meant the last remaining champion was in on it too.
'Lyka, huh.'
Jang Bori's champion, Lyka. The trickiest foe among those I'd face.
'Lumiia, you remembered her house when I threatened Jang Bori's dad.'
She'd probably been plotting this since then. Rallying every last champion to take me down—an ad-hoc alliance against a common enemy. And it looked rock-solid.
"Here we go!"
Lumiia raised her greatsword high, letting out a mighty shout. I'd never seen her fight properly before, but she was the protagonist of Summoner Survival, after all.
Of course, pre-awakening Lumiia ranked mid-to-low among the champions.
"Light Saber."
Ching!
I met Lumiia's charging holy sword with my Light Saber. But she wasn't alone.
Aros, kitchen knife in hand, blinked right up to me, aiming to bury it in my side. Her malice matched the others'.
"Time Acceleration."
I sped up my body to dodge Aros's strike. Her attacks were venomous—deep and lethal. I couldn't afford even one hit. Her style was the polar opposite of Lumiia's.
Lumiia was heavy and straightforward; Aros was light and treacherous. Easy to handle separately, but together? Their synergy was no joke.
Of course, it also meant I could smoke Aros with a preemptive strike. Light things scatter with a mere puff of breath.
The problem? Not easy in this situation, surrounded by a pack of beasts.
"I'm here too!"
Achillea's makeshift spear hurtled toward me at blinding speed. Unlike Lyka's arrows, it lacked subtlety or precision, but its raw destructive power was superior. The mana rippling around it meant even a glancing blow could be fatal against weak defenses.
"Wind Cannon."
I countered with Wind Cannon. I couldn't fully deflect her waterfall-force spear throw, but I warped its trajectory.
The spear veered wide, smashing household items to bits. A deafening explosion followed as the sink shattered into shrapnel, spraying everywhere.
Water gushed like a fountain from burst pipes. None of the champions cared.
Shiiit! Shiiit!
Two arrows targeted me—Lyka's. They didn't just aim to hit; they pinned down my movement paths. Direct strikes plus support for Lumiia, Achillea, and Aros.
Cold, pragmatic judgment. Risky for friendly fire, but Lyka's shots sealed my mobility without hindering the others. Something hot-headed like Lumiia could never pull off.
I parried Lumiia's holy sword with my blade of light. Honestly, her raw power wasn't impressive, but her frontal assault tied me down.
Aros's occasional blink ambushes and Achillea's recovered spear thrusts made dropping Lumiia quick impossible. Plus, I had to watch Lyka. Truth be told, 70% of my focus was on her.
'Gotta prioritize that annoying ranged dealer.'
Time Pose was still on cooldown. With Lumiia, Achillea, and Aros in the way, hitting Lyka directly wasn't simple. But I had a solution.
Multi-Body (다신) 5★ (A-grade)
↳ Can divide the body into up to 6 parts. Clones possess 70% of the original's stats. Divided bodies synchronize memories, emotions, experiences, and all abilities via contact. Stats sync to the highest value. However, bonus points, credits, and inventory are shared.
I split my body with Multi-Body. Max six, but two sufficed now. One could smash Lumiia, Achillea, and Aros. Lyka was the issue.
"Your body's multiplying!?"
"Lumiia, once this is over, I'll plug you front and back."
"Eek!"
Lumiia's sword swings sped up from rage, but simplified patterns made her weaker.
Her strength and speed were nothing to me now. Even fueled by fury, no real threat. An emotional Lumiia's blade lacked menace.
"We must block him from the archer!"
Aros shouted urgently, grasping the situation. But I left a clone on them and charged Lyka. A golden arrow nocked on his distant bow. That was dangerous.
"Darkness Armor."
Oil-like darkness oozed into existence, forming an armored barrier around me. The same Darkness Armor Han Seung-jin used before. Solid technique—I'd picked it up.
"Wind Wall."
One layer might not stop Lyka's golden arrow. In the original story, it was his trump card in the final clash with Lumiia. Even awakened Lumiia nearly tapped out from it. Caution required.
Pew!
The golden arrow shot like lightning. A streak of light engulfed me. It detonated in a blaze just before impact.
BOOM!
I didn't dodge because it was pointless. Lyka's golden arrow was homing explosive ordinance.
The blast rocked the entire house. Far beyond Achillea's spear. Cheon Ji-min's home vanished without trace.
No way a small place withstood that. Cheon Gang-min, Cheon Ji-min, and his wife had fled early. Quick thinkers.
"Not enough firepower?"
Lyka grunted. Even for him, that shot was taxing. No wonder it was a finisher.
"Tactical retreat."
He bolted without hesitation. Position exposed, fighting me was futile. Smart call.
I let him go. He'd fall eventually. I'd sealed his biggest weapon—annoying, but winnable. Plus, I had all the dirt on his summoner, Jang Bori.
Now to handle Lumiia, Achillea, and Aros.
They emerged from the ruins, faces grim, staring at my other self—who'd just retired all three in one go.
No Lyka interference made it easy. If Achillea had Bucephalus or Lumiia awakened, it'd differ—but I'd preempted that.
Shhh!
Suddenly, Aros turned transparent. His summoner, Cheon Gang-min, had retired from the Survival. Thought he'd escaped me?
"Haa. This Survival's a total mess."
Aros dissolved from the waist down into dust. Lumiia eyed him enviously. Reading her, Aros spoke.
"May you find peace soon too..."
Aros vanished completely. Now only Lumiia, Achillea, and Lyka remained in the Survival.
"Lumiia. Ready to get plugged front and back?"
Both my selves eyed her. Terror-stricken, she gulped.
*-*-*
Cops swarmed around Cheon Ji-min's house. I'd slipped away beforehand, dragging the subdued Lumiia and Achillea home.
"Grr! Let me go...!"
Achillea thrashed wildly, but futile. Stripped of Bucephalus and her spear, she had zero fight left.
Pure physicals? She wasn't my match. Even with a spear, sans Bucephalus, same story.
"Gonna drill you both up the ass. Gonna be a good night."
"Eeek...!"
Unlike shrieking Achillea, Lumiia looked resigned. Defeat learned.
Not the face I wanted. More shame, please.
"Wait. Changed my mind. Only one gets fucked."
"Liar! Give back Bucephalus!"
Achillea naturally didn't buy it.
"Fine. Impress me, and you get Bucephalus back."
Her ears perked at the name.
Of course, no intention of returning it. Mine now. Bucephalus had submitted too.
"Lick each other's pussies from now on. First to cum gets fucked. Achillea, win and Bucephalus is yours."
Achillea's spirits soared.
"F-For real!?"
"Of course. I hate lies. Oh, but can't just condition you—unfair. Lumiia, you win, I retire from this Survival. You're free."
Tempting bait for Lumiia. As expected, her eyes sparkled.
"Seriously!?"
Another lie, naturally. I nodded calmly, pulling a Purifying Cigarette from inventory and lighting it.
"Match starts now."
