Quest for the Golden Apple
Actor: Derek Walker 1
It had been a while since I'd entered the Solari World. Here, I was traveling toward the Dove Kingdom. My goal was the Golden Apple, an item obtainable from the snowy mountains of Dove.
The reason I wanted the Golden Apple was simple: its effect.
The Golden Apple had the power to transform the consumer into whatever they considered their ideal appearance. It also came with a charm enhancement bonus. It was an essential item for fixing Derek Walker's ugly mug.
After suffering with this shitty face for so long, it was time for a new life.
Clatter! Clatter! Clatter!
The carriage rattled along the unpaved road. Thanks to the special magic enchantment, the jolts were far less severe than usual. Still, it wasn't as smooth as cruising on a paved highway in a car.
My body swayed intermittently with the rocking carriage. The thick, earthy scent tickling my nose went perfectly with the sleepy rural village visible beyond the coachman's seat.
"Snoooore..."
Even in this bumpy carriage, Kelly slept cutely, snoring away. I'd brought the spirit summoner Kelly and the maid Luna on this trip. Along the way, I'd picked up two beauties named Bianca and Rita.
The Bianca-Rita sisters were in another carriage compartment. As country girls, they seemed pretty worn out from the long carriage ride. Even a luxury carriage like this drained your stamina over distance. Especially for girls who'd spent their whole lives stuck in the sticks—this trip must've been extra brutal for them.
Kelly, on the other hand, seemed pretty used to carriage travel. The plush bed installed in the carriage probably helped her sleep soundly, too.
Kelly was one of the knights I'd hired—a spirit summoner who commanded Crit, the Spirit King of Earth.
Well, "commanded" might not be accurate. It was more like they were close companions bound by a deep bond.
The world outside the carriage window rolled by leisurely. Our carriage was crossing the border between Baron Tarsion's territory and Dove Kingdom.
"We should be arriving soon, right?"
Slurp! Slurp! Slurp! Slurp!
A cool, refreshing sensation hit from below, accompanied by crisp sounds. It was that exquisite relief you feel during a top-notch blowjob.
There aren't many mouths in all the worlds that could satisfy my cock this well. And Luna was one of those rare talents.
I could see Luna's doll-like face, kneeling before me, hollowing her cheeks as she sucked me in. Her brown hair swayed like haunted curtains, mesmerizing my eyes.
The ticklish pleasure from my shaft matched the sight of Luna coming undone—it was like watching a nun devoted to her god. A sacred figure who sacrificed everything for the one she served.
Hmm... Nun play next time, maybe.
Luna's cool, expert blowjob service pulled my gaze from the scenery straight to her.
Slurrrp! Pop! Pop!
Kelly was still a pure virgin. Giving a showy blowjob right in front of a woman like that was pretty damn thrilling.
Even though Kelly herself was fast asleep—which only added to the excitement. I could picture her suddenly waking up, eyes wide at the lewd scene unfolding before her.
Clatter! Clatter! Clatter! Screech!
The carriage came to a sudden stop. It wasn't time for a break, and I hadn't given any orders, but the wheels ground to a halt anyway. Guessing the reason wasn't hard.
Slurrrp! Pop!
Luna finished with a vacuum-like final suck, milking out my cum. She savored the load in her mouth for a moment before gulping it down her throat. Like all the other women who'd drunk my seed, she opened wide to show off her clean, white mouth.
"We've finally reached the border, it seems."
Luna said it without even looking outside. Sure enough, we'd arrived at the border between Miles Kingdom—where we were—and Dove Kingdom.
Even in the original game, crossing borders required certain conditions. The easiest was getting a mercenary badge of sufficient rank from the Mercenary Guild.
The guild also served as an identity verification agency, so their badges worked as passports for travel between nations. One reason players had to grind mercenary quests to go abroad.
There were other ways besides mercenary work—like getting hired at the royal palace for an identity certificate or crossing with a merchant caravan.
The former allowed travel to more countries, while the latter was limited to nations with trade ties. I was going with the latter this time.
The border between Miles Kingdom and Dove Kingdom had a checkpoint with inspection posts. One side for Miles Kingdom inspectors, the other for Dove.
"Sir, we've arrived at the checkpoint."
The coachman's voice came late. Slimy, servile tone. Voice like shit, but his driving skills were top-notch.
I pulled up my pants and stepped out, opening the door. The musty pheromone-laden air from inside mixed with the fresh outdoor breeze. Better air it out before Kelly woke up.
"Yaaawn... Already here? Hmm? What's that weird smell...?"
Kelly was just waking up. Luna, face blank as ever, said, "I'll ventilate," and flung the door wide open.
Stepping out and planting my feet on solid ground sharpened my mind. Must be from days cooped up in the carriage.
There were quite a few others at the checkpoint besides us—probably over a hundred if I counted everyone. Mostly merchants with at least one carriage each.
This pass was mainly used by merchants and mercenaries, from what I'd heard. Our carriage joined the line behind the others.
"Ughhh... We here?"
Bianca poked her head out the door, looking pale. Seasick from the ride, no doubt.
"Not yet. You okay?"
"First time riding a carriage this long... Sorry."
"Nothing for you to apologize for."
Her sister Rita fussed over her.
The inspection line moved faster than expected. They didn't seem too thorough. Lucky for us.
"Where do you hail from, sir?"
Spotting my fine clothes and pegging me for a rich guy, the inspector's attitude was all politeness.
Bet he'd been casual with the folks ahead—"Where ya from?" or some shit. Decent survival instincts. In this harsh world, you needed 'em to last.
"Derek Walker of Walker Merchant Company. From Coolong County."
"Here for trade?"
"Yep. Our Walker Snow Sugar hasn't hit Dove Kingdom yet."
The inspector scribbled something on his worn paper. My info, obviously.
Damn, he could write. Literacy wasn't that common here. Even most mercenaries were illiterate, right?
Wanting to speed things up, I slipped him some coin from my pocket. Without looking up, he continued.
"You're cleared to pass. Safe travels on your long journey."
"Thanks. Best of luck to you too."
We crossed the border. Dove Kingdom at last.
Dove Kingdom
This nation shared its northern border with Miles Kingdom, where we'd been. Weaker than Miles, sure—a minor power. But not so weak Miles could just steamroll them.
In Miles, Dove's image was that of a quarrelsome neighbor nation. Not overly negative or positive. Rare, considering neighboring countries usually hated each other's guts in international politics.
Anyway, crossing into Dove brought no obvious changes. Same language, similar landscapes and villages. Few visible differences, but plenty of annoying similarities.
"Kahaha! I am Lucas Bainor! If you wish to pass this mountain, show us your sincerity!"
Bandits.
Bandits and highwaymen were cozy neighbors in low-security areas. In the original game, they'd pop up annoyingly often in risky zones—like "somebody help me" levels of irritation.
Miles or Dove, seemed there were always clueless assholes running wild like dicks.
"I'll handle it."
One word from Luna, and Lucas-whatever's head rolled. The cocky bastard didn't even get a last word before becoming a guest in the afterlife. His minions scattered in panic. Third bandit group we'd met in Dove already.
"Dove Kingdom's security must not be great."
Kelly remarked, eyeing the headless Lucas corpse. Way more frequent than in Miles. Her assessment was spot on.
"Yeah. Miles ain't perfect either. But don't worry—Snow Mountains are just a short way off now."
Coachman said one to two days. Leisurely pace meant two. The long journey was finally nearing its end.
"Will the girls be okay?"
Kelly glanced at the decapitated bandit. She meant the Bianca-Rita sisters.
"Bianca's motion sickness was too bad to keep going. But I paid the Mercenary Guild handsomely for escorts—no issues."
Bianca ended up staying in the last village due to sickness. Rita naturally stayed to look after her.
"In a place this unsafe, leaving two beauties in a city alone—who knows what trouble...?"
"That's why mercenaries are reliable here. Pricey as fuck, though."
Not leaving them long per the plan. Plus, backups for any surprises.
"Once we reach the Snow Mountains, can we get the Golden Apple right away?"
I shook my head at Kelly's question. In the original game, the Golden Apple was a quest reward. Had to clear a quest from the NPC "Snow Mountain Hermit" to get it.
"Gotta do a favor for whoever has it."
"I see. I wasn't even sure Golden Apples really existed."
Her words reminded me of the Golden Apple tale she'd told me before. Famous in her homeland, Mailock Kingdom.
What was the story again?
Too long ago—memory fuzzy. Probably not important.
Clatter! Clatter! Clatter! Screech!
The carriage halted. Peering out the window, we were midway up a mountain. Not rest time yet. Our Poseidon pulling the carriage had stamina for three hours straight without a break.
"Coachman. What's the holdup?"
"Sir... You should come see."
His deflated voice didn't sound good. Road blocked? Monsters lurking?
Common enough on trips, so I stepped out casually. Luna followed.
"Huh?"
Blocking our path was another carriage, facing the opposite direction. Not as fancy as mine, but high-class. Some noble inside, probably.
An old man—likely their coachman—was fixing a wheel. Broken axle?
Happens often on trips.
This world's carriage wheels didn't last without special magic, especially on dirt roads.
With one carriage smack in the middle of the narrow mountain path, neither of us could pass. Tricky spot for both sides.
I approached the coachman repairing the busted wheel. The middle-aged guy was sweating bullets, prying at it like rain pouring down his forehead.
"How long to fix?"
"Eeeek!?"
He let out a sharp scream like he'd seen a ghost. Too focused on the repair to notice me? Even so, overkill reaction.
"S-Sorry, sir. Fifteen minutes, tops."
He looked guilty as hell, voice shaky. Definitely hiding something. Debt collectors on his tail?
Not my business.
I waited while he fixed it. No point rushing uncooked rice.
Luckily, he nailed it in fifteen minutes flat. Veteran skills on display.
"Phew~ All done, sir. I'll pull over. Go ahead."
His voice dripped anxiety. As I climbed back in to resume, hoofbeats echoed from the opposite direction.
Clop! Clop! Clop!
"Oh god! Already!?"
The coachman slapped his cheek in horror. Frame him like that, title it "The Scream"—perfect. Debt collectors, for sure.
"Couldn't even escape this far. Just like your worthless father!"
The lead rider on horseback shouted—not at the coachman, but at whoever was inside the carriage.
