De Run Date: One Swing Short of Hole-in-One

“Ugh…. So this was all your scheme.”
Senior Scarlett glared at me with a face full of dissatisfaction. But even as she said that, she was dutifully wearing the clothes I’d bought her. Probably because she didn’t have anything else to change into.
“Who, me? Anyway, those clothes really suit you.”
“Clothes this short don’t suit me at all. A uniform’s still the best.”
“True. Senior looks pretty no matter what she wears.”
“S-stop with the cringey flattery!”
Under the barrage of compliments, Senior Scarlett whipped her head away. Her reddened ears showed she was pretty embarrassed, but she didn’t seem to hate it.
Well, compliments can make even a whale dance, right? What woman could resist praise from a handsome guy like this?
If it were from an ugly creep like Derek Walker, sure, but hearing it from a stud like Johan? Any girl’s pussy would be soaking wet.
“Walking around in something like this is impossible. Let’s head back right now.”
“Huh? Strutting back to the academy in that outfit would make for one hell of a scoop.”
“……You’re right. I’ll buy something else.”
“No way. You promised to tour with me today. It’s not even evening yet—where do you think you’re slipping off to?”
“I’ll just change clothes.”
“Time’s wasting. Let’s hit the next spot.”
Our next stop was the arcade. It was packed with bizarre game machines powered by magitech.
The arcade was in downtown De Run. Like most places here, it was crawling with couples. A lot of the machines were designed for pairs.
“Sigh…. For some reason, it feels like you’re dragging me along in your pace today.”
“Senior, this one’s pretty fun.”
I stood in front of a massive game machine. Tetris. But this was couple Tetris—unlike the normal version, one player only controlled block movement, the other only rotations. If the two didn’t sync perfectly, the difficulty was brutal; you might not clear a single line.
“Hmm. What’s this?”
“I’ll explain the rules. See those blocks falling? You fit them to fill a whole line, and they disappear for points. If they stack to the top, game over. They fall faster as time goes on.”
“Simple rules.”
“But Senior and I can only control movement or rotation separately. We’ve gotta move as one to rack up a high score.”
“Doesn’t look that hard?”
“Let’s give it a shot, then.”
We started the game together. I handled movement, Senior Scarlett rotations.
“The start’s key here. Stack a solid foundation so you can clear a four-block straight piece right away when it drops.”
“If we follow my plan, we could theoretically hit first place. Huh!? Wait! Why’d you move it there?”
“Ah! Senior! Rotate it here!”
“No, that wasn’t my plan. Stick it left, then the next and the one after on the right—we could clear three lines on the one after that.”
“I can’t plan that far ahead. Ah! Senior! Rotate again! Damn, we’re screwed!”
“Ugh! I had the perfect setup!”
Our chemistry was the absolute worst. Senior saw too far ahead; I was too shortsighted.
“Switch! I’d be better at movement!”
“Got it. Probably.”
Switching roles didn’t help a bit, of course.
“Senior! Shove it in that left hole!”
“It’s blocked.”
“The second I drop it, I’ll spin it right in.”
“Don’t rely on reflexes—use your brain. This is a thinking game.”
“Senior! Put it left!”
“No, you should’ve rotated counterclockwise! Ahh!”
Our high score was 5,000. The couple next to us broke 60,000.
“This isn’t working….”
“Haha! Still fun, though.”
“Not fun at all!”
Senior Scarlett fumed, but that just proved she’d enjoyed it.
We left the arcade together. Senior had stopped fussing over her outfit—distraction achieved. Part of my plan.
“Next up: the riding stables. You know how to ride?”
“Of course. Horsemanship’s basic nobility training.”
The stables had all sorts of horses. There was even a light track course for couples sharing a mount.
I picked that. Senior Scarlett didn’t nag anymore.
She sat in front; I held the reins from behind.
I’d picked up riding skills riding Poseidon back in Solari World. Sure, Poseidon was such a top-tier steed I barely had to steer.
Clop! Clop! Clop!
Well-trained horse—smooth control, not quite Poseidon-level. As we galloped the tree-lined track, I slid my rein hand around Senior’s waist. She murmured softly.
“You don’t have to hold me like that—I won’t fall.”
“Just wanted to.”
I rested my face on her shoulder. Her sweet scent hit hard. A long sigh escaped right by my ear.
Hard to describe—a mix of emotions. She spoke slowly.
“Johan. You’re not a virgin, are you?”
“What do you mean?”
“Don’t play dumb. No first-timer’s this smooth. Plus, everyone knows the succubi drool over you. You’ve already done it with one, haven’t you?”
Guilty. My first succubus was Senior Momo—her chewy pussy was exquisite. Still call her over sometimes.
“No answer? Nailed it. You player.”
She pinched my hand. Didn’t hurt much, but I hammed it up.
“Ow!”
“Don’t exaggerate. I knew humans were lustful, but this much? All you guys like this?”
“Unfair judgment. Polygamy’s rare among humans. Pretty common with beastkin, though. And we don’t mesmerize women like incubi do.”
“You make humans seem worse than incubi. How’d you even think to dress the student council secretary like this?”
Senior Scarlett pinched her tank top’s chest area.
“Don’t you like it, Senior?”
“No. Doesn’t suit me.”
She said that, but her flowing blue hair, beautiful face, and sexy outfit matched perfectly.
“Nah, it really suits you. Senior, you look stunning right now—know that?”
“Ugh! Hitting me like that makes you worse than an incubus.”
“Must’ve gotten hit on by plenty. Like that incubus last outing.”
“Freshman year, it was daily. Best part of student council? Barely any of those creeps.”
“What about that one last time?”
“Not totally gone. Anyway, track’s almost done.”
We’d looped back to the start. Sunset loomed. De Run and academy time were close.
“Time to head back. Toured demon realm thoroughly per your request. No complaints?”
“Yeah. Were you having fun today, Senior?”
“Yep. Annoyingly so. Fun enough to want a repeat—as long as no more outfits like this.”
She smirked at her clothes. We dismounted at the finish. Strolled out slowly. Key moment now.
“Senior. Tomorrow’s a holiday too, right?”
“Yeah.”
“No real need to go back tonight, then.”
Senior turned to me. I dodged her gaze—timing not right yet.
“What’re you getting at?”
“De Run’s even cooler at night. We only saw daytime.”
“……Stay overnight?”
“Tons of nice inns. Check this out.”
We’d reached the inn district—I’d steered us here.
Stopped at the Hole-in-One inn. Best in the area. Name said it all—perfect for scoring a hole-in-one.
“……”
“Senior. What do you think of me?”
Squared my shoulders, lowered my voice, met her eyes. Not just a question—asking permission.
“……Pervert. Lustful. Inexplicable lecherous junior.”
She started negative.
“Ouch…. Really?”
“But…. I don’t hate it. You’re a weird one.”
Her beaming smile bloomed like a flower. She poked my nose with a finger.
“Glad I met you. Not many guys as fun as you in my life.”
“Same here. No one like you in mine.”
She smiled, satisfied. Then turned and walked off.
“But tonight’s too soon. Johan, your escorting was great. Let’s do it again.”
She headed for the portal station.
Close. One step short. Still, no big disappointment. Patience yields sweeter fruit.
‘Good. I’ve pretty much secured my footing in this world.’
