Baek Jaesung #7
The next day arrived. We headed together to the building housing Boji Entertainment's headquarters. It was a street lined with lots of small to mid-sized office buildings.
"I'll handle the interpreting for you."
Everett approached us warmly and said that. Suddenly, an item I'd gotten before popped into my mind.
◈ A capsule that lets you acquire any desired language.
◈ ※ Cannot acquire languages already known.
I secretly pulled the Language Capsule from my inventory and swallowed it. Suddenly, a notification window appeared in front of me. It was a list of languages I could learn.
Available languages from Earth and other worlds.
Hmm. Looks like it has not just Earth's languages but ones from other worlds too.
I'd never had trouble with languages in other worlds. I could always understand them. Probably because my world-hopping involved possessing characters from those worlds, so I got their language knowledge.
Solari World was set up so all continents used the same language. In creative works, language barriers are a pain, so they just gloss over it like that.
Extreme Sword Heavenly Immortal was the same. Everyone in the Murim world spoke the same language, and even outsiders from beyond used it fluently.
I selected real-world English. It's the undisputed top foreign language. No downside to learning it.
English flooded into my head. It felt like it was literally input there. I could use it like a native speaker now. I could read every English sign around me effortlessly. So this is what it feels like when your eyes are opened.
"I speak English well now."
I said in English. Everett's eyes went wide.
"Whoa~! Really? Last time we met, you couldn't."
"There's a saying for that: 刮目相對—a sight worth seeing with new eyes."
I showed off my English skills without holding back. Jisu and Jueun, who knew it was from my special powers, weren't too surprised.
"Can we do that too?"
"Not right now. I already used the item."
Unfortunately, the Language Capsule was a consumable. Gone after one use.
Everett looked impressed by my fluent English but also a bit disappointed.
"Guess you don't need my help then."
"What are you talking about? We're here because of you."
"Hehe. Thanks for saying that. You're always so sweet, darling~! Ah, we're here."
We stopped in front of a neat three-story building. Tiny compared to Body Tower. Looked like multiple companies were tenants, mostly tech firms.
"Third floor. Let's go in."
We entered the building. Inside was as clean as the outside. Employees in casual clothes bustled about. Overall free-spirited vibe.
Boji Entertainment occupied the entire third floor. Their business was an internet broadcasting platform.
Stepping inside, we saw a modern open office without cubicles.
"Welcome to Boji Entertainment. What brings you here?"
A man at the reception desk—who was the only one in a suit—greeted us. Murray spoke to him.
"We have an appointment with the president. Tell him Murray's here, and he'll know."
"Ah! The president mentioned you. He said to bring you straight to his office if you showed up."
Everything went smoothly. We all headed to the president's office together. With a pounding heart, I opened the door.
"Hm? Who're you?"
An office lady staring bored at her monitor slowly looked up. I inwardly cheered at that moment.
Her confident face was framed by red hair cascading like molten lava down to her hips. Emerald-green eyes sparkled clearly. Her fair skin had a healthy flush and was nearly flawless. Her proportions looked about 7.5 heads tall at least.
Everything was great, but what blew me away was her New World-scale massive tits and ass. Everett had killer curves too, but this woman outdid her by half. I instantly got why Everett praised her.
As I eyed the president up and down with satisfaction, Everett caught my gaze and smirked slyly. Like she was saying, 'I did good, right?' Fuck yeah, you did.
"Welcome to Pussy Entertainment. I'm Lisa Pussy, the president here."
She clocked who we were right away and said that. Humorous introduction.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Baek Jaesung. Hunter as a hobby."
"Oh my. You're fluent in English. No need for an interpreter, then."
I nodded at her words. Lisa glanced at Everett and said,
"Give me a moment alone with this gentleman. One of the staff outside will show you to the lounge. Oh, and compensation for this job—we'll handle it separately later."
"Sure. I'll wait outside."
Everett smiled brightly and nodded. She and the others left the office. Lisa interlaced her fingers confidently and spoke.
"Honored to meet you in person. Let me reintroduce myself: Lisa Boji, president of Boji Entertainment. Ah, I know how ridiculous my name and company sound to Koreans. Feel free to laugh."
"Haha. It's... certainly unique. But we're not here to talk about that."
"Straight to business? I like it. Alright. I don't know what Everett told you, so I'll start from the top."
Lisa Boji was bold and womanly. You could tell from the first impression.
"Boji Entertainment plans to ride the wave of the Korean Hunter Association's dungeon entertainment project. And we're not alone—other companies are scrambling to jump in too."
"Dungeon broadcasting, right? But you need Vision Bats for that."
"The US Hunter Association and Korean Hunter Association have already started talks. Insider info says the Koreans are paying an annual fee of over a trillion won plus extras, in exchange for some breeding-capable Vision Bats from the US side. Not confirmed, but the US association seems positive about the project."
"I see."
"We're launching a brand-new internet channel. Name's already set: 'Wild Dungeon!' A dungeon-specialist channel. We did a pre-survey on our platform, and the response is hot. We could charge $50–60 for monthly subs easy."
"Hard to picture."
"It's a 99% surefire hit. The US Hunter Association already bid—for priority Vision Bat rental rights. Competition's fierce."
"If you don't win the bid, isn't it all for nothing?"
"True, but it's a public bid with bonus points in key areas. The big one is business viability. Basically, they favor companies that can actually make money from dungeon entertainment. And we're strong there. We have our own platform, and most importantly, Mr. Baek. With you on board."
Like how actors make movies hit, stars matter in dungeon entertainment too. I'm a Level House survivor. Han Seungjin stole some spotlight, but I've got global name recognition. Well, no one's recognized me yet, but whatever.
"High-rank dungeon hunters are tough to snag. Association insiders say dungeon filming limits due to safety and ethics regs are likely. Plus, high-rank攻略 methods are national secrets, so their own security matters too."
Star power's key for box office. I got why Lisa eyed me with sparkling anticipation.
"Han Seungjin'd be better for that. He's the Level House star, really."
"Haha, true. Can't deny it. Mr. Han... honestly, beyond our company's league. Bigger corps will swoop in. Might even buy us out with the contract fee."
So I'm niche market? Feels like table scraps.
"Your ladies will get big-corp love calls too."
My girls gained fame from the incident—not Han level, but enough. Lisa's scenario was likely.
"But snag the party leader, Mr. Baek—you—and the rest follow, right?"
Lisa smiled slyly. No idea where her confidence came from, but she was spot on. If I signed with Boji, the others would too.
She picked up on that. Woman's intuition?
But conversely, I got no reason to sign here.
Contracts are about terms. If Boji doesn't offer something tempting, no deal.
Of course, Lisa has exactly what I want most.
What I craved was Lisa's body. But then another headache hit: the military.
Fuck! Right, I gotta enlist! Hits different when it suddenly dawns on you!
My face twisted, and Lisa chuckled. Felt like she read my mind.
"Just now, you were worrying about military service."
"You know about it?"
"Think I skipped basic research? No, no! I know Korean dungeon hunters have mandatory service. Plenty of countries do. Nations without it like the US are rarer."
"Wasting a year in the army wouldn't be fatal? Trends move so fast these days."
Miss a month of internet, and you're outdated. A year's gap is a killer. By the time I got out, some weird fuckers would own top tier.
"The association's pouring effort into this dungeon entertainment project. They won't want a star hunter enlisting and killing the hype right now."
"Don't feel that popular."
"I'm talking Mr. Han. He's enlistment age too."
Ah, that fucker's going too?
"The association will pull strings. Hunter service isn't just Defense Ministry turf. Association's influence is stronger."
"No way they'd exempt me..."
"Nah, probably not. After that hunter dodged by changing citizenship, they avoid over-the-top perks to dodge backlash. Word is deferment... or post-enlistment activity guarantees. Super generous."
Fuck. Some asshole's fuckup means I'm spinning my wheels.
"You know a lot."
"Grandpa's connections, honestly. I built this myself, but family group backs the networking side."
She smiled lightly as she said that.
