PE Teacher: Geum Taeyang — 2
Tardiness was already a lock, so I let it go and strolled to school at my leisure. There was something strangely novel about showing up as a teacher instead of a student.
I hadn't been a particularly diligent student, but I'd never once been late. The only award I received at graduation was for perfect attendance. And now here I was, a teacher, running late. You really do live long enough to see everything.
Jinglebell Middle School sat right in the heart of downtown. Two or three blocks off campus, a massive shopping center loomed into view — the kind of place the protagonist and her friends were always hanging around in the anime. A short walk from there brought you to a fairly large public swimming pool. Quite a few episodes took place at that pool, too.
Wouldn't be a bad idea to slap a Common Sense Alteration Talisman on the pool.
A swimming pool was just about the perfect space for a Common Sense Alteration Talisman. It was a public facility, sure, but the size and the amenities drew a fair number of young women, from what I understood. A beautiful woman in a swimsuit was a treasure all by herself — but with a talisman in play, she'd become a jewel worth far more than that.
I walked along turning over thoughts like these, and before I knew it I'd arrived at Jinglebell Middle School. It was the largest school in the area, so you could spot it from a long way off.
The more I thought about it, the weirder it was. I'd dyed my hair this screaming yellow and tanned my skin dark. I even had a small lettering tattoo on my forearm — hidden for now under a sleeved shirt, at least. In the real world, just loitering near a middle school looking like this would get me labeled a criminal. And I was a schoolteacher? How the hell had a bastard like this passed the certification exam?
Magical Girl Carol Muse, like any anime, was packed with characters dyed every color of the rainbow. Maybe a bleached-blond, heavily tanned guy like me counted as ordinary around here. Hard to say.
I walked through the school gate.
"Oh. Mr. Geum. Running late today, of all days. Are you feeling unwell?"
A fat pig of a man in black horn-rimmed glasses, his face a constellation of acne, had called out to me. Astonishingly, he was wearing a school janitor's uniform. He'd wandered in from the wrong genre. He looked like he'd stepped straight out of a hentai.
"Ah — yeah. I overslept."
"Haha. Even at this age, you get the urge sometimes. Go on in. Ms. Yang's probably furious."
"Ms. Yang?"
"Ms. Yang Hyejin. She's strict even with the other teachers, you know. She's a good person, but that strictness of hers can put you in a tight spot."
Yang Hyejin was the homeroom teacher of Han Somi, one of the original's three central heroines. A short brown bob, equally brown and sharp-witted eyes — she was a supporting character who showed up fairly often in the source material. Strict as hell, but fundamentally decent, and a reliable ally to the protagonists.
Unlike the school nurse, Yang Hyejin wasn't a witch — just a regular person. Hmm. Think I'll tap that.
She had the looks you'd expect from an original-series supporting character. Her chest and ass weren't anything outrageous, which was exactly what made her the kind of beauty you could actually picture walking around in real life. I'd heard she showed up in fan comics with pretty decent frequency.
I exchanged greetings with the four-eyed, acne-riddled fatso of a janitor and went looking for the first-year faculty office. Finding it ate up still more of my time.
The faculty office at Jinglebell Middle School was much like the ones in the real world. The feeling of it, though, was completely different depending on whether you were looking at it as a student or as a teacher. I found my desk.
"Mr. Geum!"
Someone called my name. I knew it was Yang Hyejin from the voice alone. She was looking at me with an attendance register tucked at her left hip.
The neatly styled brown bob, the haughty eyes, the high-bridged nose and the cherry-red lips — it was her, no question. She came walking purposefully toward me as I stood there like an idiot in front of the faculty office.
"You're a teacher, not a student, and you're late! I know you're still new, but this is too much. And you're in the Guidance Department, of all places!"
So I was in the Guidance Department. Back when I was in school, they'd called it the discipline squad.
A face like this in Guidance. This school wasn't right in the head either. Then again, if you looked at it with a filthy enough mind, it almost made sense. A tanned, bleached-blond guidance director was the second-best NTR vehicle after a tanned, bleached-blond athletic upperclassman.
I liked the assignment. Guidance meant I could get away with all kinds of things under a legal-looking pretext, didn't it? In the real world, of course, that kind of behavior would have me in handcuffs before the day was out — but this wasn't the real world, so it didn't matter. This was the school's own karma for putting a guy like me in Guidance in the first place.
"Sorry. I overslept."
"At least you aren't lying about it — that's the adult thing to do. It's a good thing you don't have morning classes. Hurry to the Guidance Office. I attended the morning faculty meeting in your place."
"Yes. Thank you."
Yang Hyejin scolded me like a child. That was her original role — the busybody. I let the lecture go in one ear and out the other and studied her instead. A mouthwatering scent was wafting up from her pussy. Even with the skirt covering it, my pussy radar wasn't about to miss that.
"And don't be late for your afternoon classes."
She nagged right to the end. I did as she'd said and headed for the Guidance Office. Apparently my desk was in there.
The Guidance Office was a good distance from the first-year faculty room. No — it was tucked into the farthest corner of the building, cut off from most of the classrooms. It felt like I'd been sent into exile.
There were three desks inside. Mine was the one closest to the door. The desk at the very back belonged to the Guidance Director, by the look of it. A male teacher who seemed about forty was sitting there. A long plastic ruler lay on the desk — not unlike the weapon the student-council-president bastard at my old middle school used to carry around. Unnervingly realistic, that.
The remaining desk belonged to another Guidance teacher, same as me. The moment I walked in, the Director opened his mouth. His voice was extremely deep and rough; any ordinary student would have been thoroughly cowed.
"Mr. Geum, you've arrived? How remarkably prompt of you."
"Shut up. I've got no interest in talking to some dick-having bastard, so go fuck yourself."
"W-what!? What did you just say? Mr. Geum! Have you lost your mind!?"
I pulled a Common Sense Alteration Talisman from my inventory and stuck it to the Guidance Office door.
"From now on, I am the Guidance Director. And in the Guidance Office, the Director's word is to be obeyed without question."
The two ordinary teachers working at their desks let out a low groan, as if they'd been dropped into a trance. The Director saw their bizarre reaction and panicked.
"What on earth…? Mr. Geum!? What did you just do?"
"Doesn't take even that much to shrug it off, huh? Not as good an item as I thought."
The Common Sense Alteration Talisman's effects dropped off sharply against anyone whose willpower sat above a certain threshold. Even a little more mental fortitude than the average civilian seemed to be enough to ignore it entirely. Using the thing on the protagonist's party was a non-starter.
I walked up to the panicking Director and drove a chop into his skull. A concave hole punched into his head. If the thing burst and sprayed blood it'd be a hassle, so I hit him just hard enough to kill him instantly. In a matter of seconds, the Guidance Director was a corpse.
"The Guidance Director stepped out all of a sudden. He didn't say where he was going. He just vanished from the office. Got it?"
I said it to the two teachers. They nodded like people possessed. I stuffed the Director's body into my inventory and dumped it on the mountain behind the school.
That evening, the school went into an uproar. A Guidance Director vanishing without warning — of course it did. The school filed a missing-person report with the police. The only witnesses — myself and the other Guidance teachers — testified that the Director had simply walked out of the office. The Guidance Office sat in such a remote corner of the building that it was a blind spot for the cameras.
I became the acting Guidance Director. I was the least senior teacher in the department, but the other two handed me the seat. I'd steered that, of course, through the Common Sense Alteration Talisman. And then I put the thing through its paces right there in the office.
Used on a location, the talisman's effects manifested only inside that space. Leave the space, though, and people still didn't find anything strange about what had happened while they were in it. Say I used a talisman on the Guidance Office and established the common sense that being naked is natural. Anyone affected would strip the moment they stepped inside. Walk out of the office like that, and the effect would lift — they'd be embarrassed about being undressed. What they would not do is find it strange that they'd taken their clothes off in the Guidance Office in the first place.
More precisely: they'd conclude they'd gone briefly insane and stripped. The idea that some outside force had twisted their common sense would never occur to them. Which meant that if the talisman took proper hold, realizing you'd been brainwashed was impossible.
A convenient, excellent item, as far as that went. The inability to use it on anyone with strong willpower, though, was a genuine shame. It hadn't worked on the Guidance Director, and it didn't work on Ms. Yang Hyejin either. Even among ordinary civilians, a little extra mental fortitude was enough to shrug it off.
On top of that, trying to apply the talisman over a wide area made the effect drop off a cliff. Use it on Jinglebell Middle School as a whole, for instance, and it wouldn't activate at all — the effect shrank until it simply vanished. Experimentation put the maximum viable area at about one classroom, and even then the power fell off the same way, so any student with slightly above-average willpower could ignore it. The range where it performed reliably was about the size of the Guidance Office — roughly half a regular classroom.
So turning the public pool into a fucking private beach is off the table.
A shame. I'd still turned my Guidance Office into a little pleasure palace, though.
"Hehe. How is it, sir?"
The woman currently sucking my cock was Chae Mira, the first-year art teacher. She'd made a few appearances in the original. The beret worn at a slant might as well have been a billboard reading Look at me, I'm an artist. She'd even dyed her hair rainbow — a color you'd only see at a Halloween party or a pride parade in the real world. The trap was that it actually suited her.
"Four out of ten. Barely better than an onahole. Hey, toilet! You lick that asshole properly too."
The woman servicing my ass was Ahn Seonmi, the first-year music teacher. At my barking she sped up the work of her tongue. Filthy, wet little sounds, and a cool, pleasant sensation blooming from my asshole.
This arts duo were the first victims to wander into my web. I hadn't chosen them for any deep reason. They'd just caught my eye. Both of them had stopped by Student Affairs on official business and walked straight into my hands.
I wanted Yang Hyejin too, one way or another, but her willpower was too strong for the talisman to take. I had Power of Sex, of course, so I could have just taken her by force and it would have worked out. But that wasn't any fun. No reason to wolf down a good meal. I passed the time using the arts duo instead.
For the record, the common sense I'd rewritten ran as follows.
1. In the Guidance Office, my orders are to be obeyed without question.
2. Being completely naked in the Guidance Office is the natural state of things.
3. Being used by me in the Guidance Office earns high marks on one's performance review.
The arts duo threw themselves into sucking my cock and licking my ass, stacking up the points they needed for promotion.
"What about me? How did I do?"
Ahn Seonmi pointed at herself and asked. I'd been just about to enjoy myself, and the rimming had stopped cold. My mood soured.
"Use that mouth for licking, not asking. Toilets don't talk."
I pressed her face into my ass. After about three days of training, they'd picked up a decent amount of skill. Still nowhere close to girls like Sujin or Luna, though. You needed talent to get to that level in the first place.
Having thoroughly worked the two teachers over, I checked the clock and stood up. Time for class. I was a proper teacher at Jinglebell Middle School. Physical education was my subject.
"Today's finally Han Somi's class."
Han Somi, one of the original's three central heroines. She was the true protagonist of Magical Girl Carol Muse — the vast majority of the story unfolded with her at its center.
"It's the start of the term, so we're still right at the beginning of the original too. She contracted with the mascot at the middle-school entrance ceremony and became a magical girl, which means it's only been a few days since she transformed."
I ran through the anime's timeline. Nothing major was due to happen yet. The monsters and incidents in the early episodes were all small and charming. Drop a max-level boss in front of a magical girl who hadn't grown at all and the show would be over on the spot.
I headed for the gymnasium.
PE at Jinglebell Middle School was held in a large indoor gym, which had the advantage of running regardless of the weather. When I was in middle school we'd had a pathetic little gym and did most of our classes on the field. I'd spent those hours either shooting the breeze with kids up in the stands or zoning out on my own.
The students were already gathered. I didn't bother taking attendance. I just said, more or less:
"Boys, futsal. Girls, dodgeball. Scatter."
The boys lit up and broke off among themselves. Warm-ups? Couldn't be bothered. You get cramps when you exercise. You get hurt, too. The girls, surprisingly, set about preparing for dodgeball with actual diligence. Han Somi, though, was nowhere to be seen.
Huh? First-year Hope Class. That's definitely Somi's class.
The name sounded like something you'd hear in a church, so I remembered it clearly. And over there, getting ready for futsal, was Shin Wooju — Somi's childhood friend, and a male character who showed up constantly in the original.
"I'm so sorryyy!"
The gymnasium door slammed open, and a girl with hair as white as snow piled high on Christmas morning came bursting through at full volume.
"I'm a little late!"
That girl was Carol White. Han Somi.
