Serina Calls It a Date
Two days after that overnight stay at the love hotel with Risha.
I had no plans to hole up in the dorm just because it's vacation. I'm the type who'd keel over dead if I didn't get my daily dose of yuri vibes, even for a single day. So here I am, getting ready to head out.
I pick out season-appropriate clothes, slip them on, and start doing my makeup. Dana doesn't seem thrilled that I'm sitting at the vanity claiming I'm going out. The way she's hovering nearby, clicking her tongue, makes it obvious.
"What's with the full makeup routine?"
"Huh? I'm excited."
"...That happy just to meet up with Serina?"
"Duh?"
She's a girl. Not just any girl, but one packing max-level yuri power. A sweet beauty who lifts my mood just by looking at her.
That's right. I'd gotten up at the crack of dawn to doll myself up like this, all for Serina.
Dana, who'd been watching my whole noisy get-ready show without a word, finally pipes up again.
"You never do this when it's just us."
"Do what?"
"Makeup."
"...Who does their face at home when they're just chilling?"
She's a pro at nitpicking. And hey, you don't do it either. Or is she subtly telling me it doesn't suit me? I feel a little deflated and ask,
"Do I look weird right now?"
"Not really."
"Then why you acting like that?"
"Just 'cause."
Just 'cause my ass. Idiot.
Mid-conversation with Dana, I shift the powder puff I'm dabbing on my face. Chin, neck, down a bit to my collarbone—tap tap. The angry red marks everywhere fade to something more presentable.
I think absently, bugs these days must have teeth or something. Lipstick marks I can cover with makeup, but those sharp bite indents? No hiding those.
As I'm powdering my body too, I catch myself shooting Dana a side-eye without realizing. She turns her head away, like it has nothing to do with her.
I don't say anything either. Because the marks I'm covering up on my body have zero connection to Dana.
"…."
"…."
An awkward silence settles between us. I have no idea what to say. My hyped-up "outing whee hee hee" energy deflates a bit, and I stop everything I'm doing. Then I ask Dana,
"Should I not go?"
"What the hell outta nowhere?"
"If you tell me not to, I won't."
I mean it. If Dana said "don't go" right now, I'd seriously cancel on Serina. I'd be bummed—really bummed—but oh well. You'd just have to entertain me instead. More sincerely, though.
That's what I'm thinking when—
"Nah."
But Dana shoots it down. I'm so surprised I ask,
"Worried it'll look like I'm obsessed?"
Obsession. It's what I hate most, and Dana—who's been by my side for over ten years—knows it.
The second the word leaves my mouth, I wait expectantly. Hoping she'll agree. Obsessive people suck, so nod and say it's not like that. But still, tell me not to go. I've handed you the perfect answer sheet— just copy it down.
I stare at her, keeping that dark, bubbling feeling in my chest hidden.
But Dana shakes her head.
"Nope."
"...Oh?"
Hmph. Dumbass. If you'd just nodded, I'd have been thrilled and done whatever you wanted. No way I'm giving you a third chance.
I straighten my outfit one last time. Gonna have a blast with Serina. Make Dana regret not stopping me.
I'm ready. I grab some shoes from the closet and slip them on. Before heading out the door, I toss one last question,
"You won't get mad after I come back, right?"
Like the other day. I'd gotten permission and everything, but she was still super pissed when I got back. Took some tight hugs and nuzzling to calm her down.
Dana reacts to my words.
"Planning another sleepover?"
"Maybe~?"
"…."
Dana narrows her eyes. It gets me weirdly giddy without meaning to.
What's that? You hate it? Then you should've stopped me earlier. Too late now. Serina and I are gonna have a ton of fun. Deep talks too...
I stick my tongue out between my teeth like a cheeky kid, smirking with my eyes. Get pissed. Next time, answer right...
Dana's face twists into something ominous as she watches. Her eyebrow twitches, then she puts on that strict "bad kid needs scolding" expression.
But what comes out of her mouth doesn't match her face at all.
"Have fun."
"Huh?"
That's not it. More, a little more—ngh, not that I wanted that exactly, but "have fun" ain't right. Idiot.
I swallow the words I can't say out loud, and Dana smirks.
"You'll come back here anyway."
"…."
Her calm mutter carries zero doubt. Like it's a given.
Well, yeah. It's the dorm. My room. No reason not to. Unless I'm dropping out or something.
I know that's not what she means. ...Or do I?
"Dunno what you mean."
"You said you can't sleep without me."
"……."
Why does she keep leaving me speechless? In my opinion, Dana's the idiot. Believing that throwaway line I said to placate her anger. Your scent is nice, sure, but it's not like I can't sleep without it.
I'm so baffled I zone out, staring at her with what must be a pitiful look. Dana approaches. Her footsteps light as she closes the distance to me in my shoes in seconds.
A little closer. Close enough our breaths mingle.
Even in my slightly heeled shoes, she towers over me, so I have to look up.
"Have fun."
She says it again, pulling me into a goodbye hug.
"Ngh…."
Just a light shoulder grab and embrace, but our heartbeats sync up in this weird resonance. Right in front of me, her pale neck.
"……."
I didn't mean to, but next thing I know—oh god, so tacky, ngh, my nose is sniff sniffing like a total perv, guzzling her scent, head all fuzzy...
I'm just rolling my eyes dazedly when Dana finishes the hug, looks down, and smiles.
"Gonna sleep somewhere else?"
"……."
"Answer me, Lily."
"………I'll be back."
Hmph. I bolt out of the dorm without looking back.
… … …
Serina heals my rattled heart. She spots me from afar and waves enthusiastically, full of energy.
"Lily!"
It's only been a few vacation days apart, but she looks so refreshingly different. I can't help thinking her brown hair and soft eyes are gorgeous. Her mature gestures and expressions wrap around my heart all cozy-like.
And those tits. Massive. Not boobs—pure titty territory. What's with the see-through top? Her thighs and legs, that subtle curve and skin peeking out. Lewd titty temptress. Who you trying to seduce dressing like that? She bundles up all modest in uniform usually, huh?
Her totally different vibe from school has me ogling Serina shamelessly. Heh heh. Feels like muttering something pervy. For real...!
"Wait long?"
"Nah, just got here."
She grabs my hand. I don't even register until we're walking.
Takes a few seconds before I jolt. "Eek... uh."
"What's up?"
"……."
Well, complaining about hand-holding now would be weird, but that's at school—this is outside...
I squeeze her hand, and Serina looks at me puzzled.
"People are staring a ton..."
"Are they?"
They're blatantly gawking, and she says that? How oblivious is she?
"'Cause Lily's so pretty."
"Ack."
Pretty? That's you. I stare like it's ridiculous, but Serina's expression is off. A bit dazed, looking my way. Come to think of it, she's been like that. Or maybe from the start.
"For real."
"……."
I'm hopeless against this girl-on-girl flattery fest. I just duck my head mumbling, you're prettier, all embarrassed.
Serina beams like that's enough, leaving me flustered. Then she tugs my hand again.
"Shall we? On our date."
"Eh?"
We're going, sure, but what's with the weird tag-on?
"Date?"
"Yeah?"
Now Serina's confused. And she says it so boldly.
"It's a date, right?"
"……Why?"
"Why?"
We stare at each other, both probably with question marks over our heads.
Serina explains patiently, like sharing basic common sense—with zero frustration, just pure kindness.
"We're eating out first, yeah?"
"Yup."
"Shopping too, right?"
"Don't need anything, but if you wanna shop, sure."
"Stroll the park."
"Nice weather. Ngh."
"Then my place after."
"Huh?"
"Date, see?"
"That's... a date?"
Something felt off at the end there. But no time to voice my doubts. Serina's looking at me like it's obvious.
And protesting—this with me isn't a date, I'm not yuri material, I'm a dude really, I mean—would take too much explaining.
I just go with it. Serina chuckles all grown-up-like.
"Date time?"
Don't emphasize "date," dummy. My mood's getting weird.
