Business Trip with the Manager
The next day came and I went to work.
After going at it so hard with Mom the night before, I simply headed out that morning without anything extra.
Hmm… maybe I should’ve at least gotten a blowjob…
Once I’d started receiving morning blowjobs, not getting one left me feeling hollow and vaguely unsatisfied. Still, work was work, so I carried that lingering regret with me as I clocked in.
“We’re heading out for a contract today, so you come along too, Assistant Manager Kim.”
“…Yes.”
It was looking like one of those days where nothing would go my way.
The engine hummed softly.
“…”
“…”
The car was quiet. The manager who had suddenly decided to drag me along for a contract signing. After what happened yesterday, I never imagined she would bring me with her like this. I’d figured she’d avoid me as much as possible for at least a month…
“You’re going to keep what happened yesterday completely secret, right?”
“Ah, yes.”
It wasn’t the kind of story you’d go around telling people anyway. It was a matter that could decide the course of the manager’s entire life. I wasn’t trash enough to blab about something like that.
“Is that so…”
She seemed lost in thought, though I had no idea what was running through her mind.
“I told you to come along for today’s contract so you could watch and learn.”
“Me?”
“You’re still a long way off, but eventually you’ll have to go out and handle these yourself, Assistant Manager Kim.”
Right now I mainly handled on-site security work. Company-to-company or personal contracts almost never crossed my desk. Of course I’d take them on eventually, but contracts were usually handled by deputy managers and above. Once you made section chief they started bringing you along to teach you the ropes…
“There’s no harm in learning early. Watch carefully.”
“Yes, Manager.”
For whatever reason, she wanted to start teaching me ahead of schedule. I’d have to do this myself in a few years anyway. Learning early couldn’t hurt, so I decided to quietly observe from the sidelines.
“Thank you for signing with our company this time.”
“Not at all. Partnering with a security firm that has a solid reputation in the industry puts our minds at ease.”
The company we were contracting with today was an entertainment agency that had recently pulled off a mid-sized miracle. Their name was Zumi Entertainment, if I remembered right. One of the members from the group Remembers had blown up in popularity. A gyaru-style look while farming out in the countryside had somehow gone massively viral. Because of that, they were now drowning in events and program appearances, which was why they needed a security firm they could trust.
The deal was simple: whenever they held events in our company’s territory, our firm would handle the security. In short, a region-limited exclusive contract.
“Last time a fan almost rushed the stage, but you handled it well.”
“That incident was handled directly by Assistant Manager Kim here.”
“Is that so? Wow—he really does have the body of a proper bodyguard. Hahaha.”
“Thank you.”
Back at the office the manager had chewed me out thoroughly over that same incident…
“You’re good-looking too. Ever think about joining our company?”
“Hahaha, I appreciate the offer.”
It was clearly a joke, and we all laughed along.
“Manager, how about you come over as an actress yourself…?”
“I’m flattered, but I take pride in my current work.”
“What a shame. Tch.”
The agency president actually smacked his lips like he meant it. Apparently every word he’d said to us had been sincere. I couldn’t even begin to guess how much bigger he wanted to grow the company. I might not cut it, but the manager could probably make a killing playing villain roles.
A mid-sized entertainment agency just starting to take off. One girl group alone had its limits, so they were clearly hunting for other talent that could explode quickly.
“Then shall we wrap the contract up like this?”
“Yes. Looking forward to working with you.”
“We’ll see you again in two weeks.”
“Ah! If possible, could this gentleman take the security detail?”
“Assistant Manager Kim?”
“The way he carried himself earlier inspired a lot of confidence.”
“Understood.”
“I’ll do my best.”
Just like that, a schedule two weeks out had been set. Still, they thought well of me, so I had no complaints.
“In that case, let’s grab lunch together and then visit the remaining companies.”
“Yes, Manager.”
It was lunchtime. We still had about two more companies to visit.
If we finish lunch and hit the rest, we should wrap everything up cleanly.
True to the manager’s style, she had scheduled the contracts so they could finish without loose ends.
“I’ve already reserved a place. Let’s go there.”
“Understood.”
The restaurant she’d booked was an eel rice-bowl place. It looked expensive at a glance…
“I’m paying, so don’t worry about it.”
“Still…”
“It’s fine. Eat comfortably.”
Hush money for yesterday? Thinking of it that way made it easier to dig in.
“How does today feel so far?”
“Very rewarding.”
“It might look simple, but depending on the situation you sometimes have to tweak the contract terms a little. It’s work that requires real responsibility.”
“I’ll keep that in mind.”
The moment you stepped out to negotiate a contract, you became the face of the company. That was why only deputy managers and above usually handled them. Things could go as smoothly as earlier, or they could go completely sideways. Personal judgment mattered, and the responsibility was heavy.
“You’ll do fine, Assistant Manager Kim. Don’t worry too much.”
“Ah—thank you.”
For once the manager was actually praising me. Receiving the compliment made the whole thing feel even more awkward.
“Have some more of this.”
“Thank you.”
She even pushed some of her own eel onto my plate. The warm gesture almost moved me.
After finishing the meal we headed for the next company on the list.
“You… ate plenty of eel, right?”
“Yes, I’m full.”
“That’s good, then…”
The manager wore a strangely meaningful expression.
Probably nothing.
I didn’t give it much thought.
Contrary to my expectations, the remaining contracts dragged on and on, and we only finished around eight in the evening.
“Today ran a lot longer than expected.”
“It did.”
Assistant Manager Kim looked a little worn out. The companies we’d visited that afternoon kept adding new demands that hadn’t been discussed beforehand. As a result, everything took an extra two and a half hours. For someone experiencing this for the first time, the mental fatigue was clearly different from the physical exhaustion of security work.
Everything’s going according to plan so far.
I had already anticipated this exact situation. The companies scheduled for the afternoon were notorious for arbitrarily changing their requirements. I knew the day would run late.
“If we head back to the office, write the reports, and then go home, it’ll be nearly eleven.”
“Right…”
The mention of returning to the office made his face grow even more exhausted. He was already drained, and more work still waited. For a salaryman, few things were more tiring.
“No choice, then. We’ll write the reports tomorrow.”
“Is that really okay?”
“Going all the way back to the office at this hour to work is inefficient.”
“Thank you!”
Color returned to his face at the news that we didn’t have to return. But my plan wasn’t finished yet.
“Getting home from here will still take quite a while. Since it turned out this way, let’s just grab a room nearby, rest, and go straight to work tomorrow.”
“What? No, we don’t need to go that far…”
“If you’re still fine, shall we head to the office instead?”
“…Should we find a motel?”
Even driving home from here would take two hours.
“I’ll put everything on the company expense account, so don’t worry.”
“Understood.”
“I’ve already got a place in mind, so you don’t need to book anything yourself.”
I had already decided exactly where we were going.
“Then let’s head straight there.”
“Uh… is it okay for us to stay somewhere like this?”
“It’s fine. Don’t worry.”
Putting accommodations on the company card during a business trip was common enough. Usually it was a motel or a low-tier hotel. Staying anywhere nicer inevitably drew side-eye.
Since it’s the manager, it should be fine.
I hadn’t booked it—she had—so there shouldn’t be a problem.
I’ve never stayed in a hotel like this before.
I knew it was expensive, yet the manager walked in without the slightest hesitation. I followed her upstairs and into the room…
Wait—why is it the same room?
We had entered so naturally that I only noticed once we were already inside.
“I’ll take this bed. You can use that one, Assistant Manager Kim.”
“W-wait a second, Manager! Why is it the same room?”
“It’s more efficient this way. Or does sharing a room with your superior make you uncomfortable?”
“Before that—we’re a man and a woman!”
“You already saw my secret yesterday, so it’s fine.”
I wanted to shout that those two things had nothing to do with each other, but the sheer absurdity left me speechless.
The manager calmly began removing her suit jacket.
“I’ll shower first. Wait just a little.”
“Yes…”
Either sleep here quietly for the night, or go back to the office and work right now.
Just stay quiet.
Sharing a room with the manager… Booking a place this nice and taking two rooms would have been expensive. That was probably why she only reserved one.
There are two beds. There’s no way the manager has any weird ideas.
We had already agreed to bury yesterday’s incident. The cool-headed manager who always kept personal and professional matters strictly separate would never bring me here with anything improper in mind. She didn’t have those kinds of feelings toward me in the first place.
“I guess I’ll take this bed, then.”
Just sleep quietly and head back in the morning.
The sound of water filled the bathroom. When I glanced over, the manager’s silhouette showed through the frosted glass. I couldn’t see clearly, but the outline of her body was fairly distinct.
Don’t think weird thoughts.
I turned my head away from the showering manager and waited for my turn, completely forgetting that the place where she had masturbated at the office the day before had been my own desk…
