Embarrassing Martial Arts Practice (1)
“Hey… don’t you think this is kinda messed up too?”
The voice came out of nowhere from behind me, making my shoulders twitch as I whipped around.
She was dressed neatly, her shirt buttoned all the way up to the collar. A girl with her black hair tied back in a tidy ponytail stood there.

She was frowning, clearly displeased with the scene inside the auditorium.
Baek Hayeon!
I didn’t even have to dig for the memory—it came right up.
A sub-character who appeared as one of the protagonist’s allies in the game.
Thanks to her high mana sensitivity, she could resist the hypnosis to some degree, but having grown up in this city, she was more affected by it than me.
Now that we’d just entered the academy… she was probably somewhere between normal and fully hypnotized.
If I can snap her out of the hypnosis earlier than in the original story, she’ll be a big help!
I schooled my expression into one of feigned ignorance.
“Ah, yeah. It’s a bit disconcerting. I didn’t expect… that kind of lewd performance right at the entrance ceremony.”
“Right? Even if they emphasize instincts, kissing in front of the whole school? That’s way over the top for a performance.”
Hayeon nodded and stepped up beside me, looking relieved to find someone who agreed with her.
But there was something off about her words.
A sticky, public makeout session in front of everyone. To her, it was just “over the top.”
That meant she’d already been somewhat pickled in this city’s twisted common sense.
I wasn’t about to let this chance slip. The more students who could resist hypnosis, the better.
“No, it’s not just over the top—it’s insane! Doing that in public?!”
“Well, the academy values instincts highly, so maybe that’s why? Resonance is efficient for boosting mana, after all.”
Uh… what?
This wasn’t good.
She was in worse shape than I thought.
Deeper under the hypnosis than I’d figured. Even her gaze toward me felt a little colder. I hurriedly added,
“Ah, even if resonance is great, if the person isn’t okay with it, wouldn’t it backfire? Instincts are ultimately about the mind too!”
“Yeah, you’re right. Sigh… Resonance is good, but I still feel repulsed somehow. Guess I’m the weird one.”
Hayeon had a sweet, polite personality.
In a place like this, that model behavior just got her treated like a delinquent.
Of course, having a healthy, normal mindset was no problem at all.
I reinforced her correct way of thinking.
“You’re not weird. If anything, you’re completely normal.”
Her eyes went wide in surprise at my words.
“Normal? But everyone says that’s just how it is. The professors, the senior Awakeners… They say being true to your instincts is what makes a good Awakener.”
“They’re the weird ones. Instincts matter, but humans have reason too.”
My firm tone brightened her expression bit by bit.
“Good. I’m not the only one who feels that way.”
“Yeah, for every type like that, there’s people like us. We’re not hurting anyone, right?”
This conversation wouldn’t fully break the hypnosis, but it could at least stop it from getting worse.
I grabbed her hand outright.
“Don’t change your mind on that. I’ll help you out.”
Hayeon’s face flushed at the sudden skinship.
“Yeah… I’m not sure what you mean by help, but thanks anyway.”
She fanned her heated cheeks and cleared her throat.
“Ahem… I’m Baek Hayeon. Special Class High, probably majoring in Alchemy.”
“Seo Eunha, Combat Department. Too bad we’re not in the same major.”
“Yeah. But we might have some basic classes together. And Alchemy collaborates a lot with Combat, so we’ll see each other plenty?”
“That’s a relief! Looking forward to it then. You’ll have to sell me potions cheap, right?”
I nodded eagerly at her words.
Once she shook off the hypnosis later, she’d make essentials like libido suppressants or mental barrier potions.
I didn’t need them since I was immune, but having them around wouldn’t hurt.
Building points with her now was a perfect strategic move.
Definitely not because she was pretty and I wanted to be friends.
Really.
“Sure, I can do that much.”
Hayeon let go of my hand, shyly tucking her hair behind her ear.
Her pure, innocent look stole my gaze for a moment.
The canon wife is definitely Baek Hayeon.
Hypnosis Academy was basically a violation fest at its core, but it had various sub-characters.
Muscular gym teacher, Gold Sun, ero loli, even pet slimes.
Lots of tastes catered to, but I was a classic Hayeon fan.
Ah, but I’m Seo Eunha now. This is a bit tricky.
Lost in such pointless thoughts, we strolled the academy grounds.
“Ah, that’s the Special Department building from here. I should head that way.”
The Combat building was in the opposite direction from her Special Department.
Disappointing, but it was time to part.
“Um, Eunha.”
Hayeon hesitated, then spoke up first.
She pulled out her smartphone from her pocket and looked at me, face a little red.
“If it’s okay… could we exchange numbers? For the potion stuff earlier… and, well, I just wanna keep in touch with you.”
My heart skipped a beat.
Baek Hayeon wasn’t asking for my number—she was giving me hers?
“Huh? Oh, yeah! Totally! I’d love that!”
I fumbled for my pocket and handed my smartphone to her.
We entered each other’s numbers.
Her empty contacts list now had “Baek Hayeon” saved.
New Contact: Baek Hayeon
“Heehee…”
Lucky on day one.
I grinned like an idiot, heading happily to morning classes.
That grin vanished the moment morning classes started.
The blackboard had normal stuff like Korean or math, but the classroom vibe was anything but.
Out of thirty students, twenty were already glued to each other like couples. The guy in front of me was kneading the thigh of the girl next to him while solving problems.
Even more absurd: the teacher saw it and praised, “Good focus.”
It wasn’t outright lewd acts, but the air was thick with a pink haze.
Crazy, I can’t breathe in here.
Unable to adapt to the atmosphere, I became a total outsider at the academy.
“Class ends here for today.”
The second the teacher finished, I bolted from my seat and out of the room.
But heading to the cafeteria to escape the stifling air, I had to turn back.
It was packed with students feeding each other or eating on laps.
Eating there would definitely make me choke.
I grabbed a sandwich from the vending area and settled on a quiet bench in a secluded spot.
“Phew. Finally, some air.”
Munching on the sandwich, I sank into thought.
The academy’s first week was integrated education—a tutorial phase.
Mornings for boring theory, afternoons rotating basic practicals by department to find your aptitude.
Thanks to Insight, I didn’t need to learn, but attendance was mandatory to avoid penalties.
Like a university system, but high school strictness on this.
First up is Martial Arts Department practical. Physical stuff’s the easiest anyway.
I shoved the rest of the sandwich in my mouth and stood.
The practice auditorium was already steamy with heat.
Outfits prioritized exposure over mobility: tight tops and short hot pants everywhere.
And me… still in my short-skirt uniform.
Oh right. Gym clothes.
The academy was university-like. I’d forgotten the “change for PE” common sense.
Worse, no friends to remind me. Hayeon was already at her department’s practice room.
Standing awkwardly at the back, the gym door slammed open, and a man strode in.
“Nice to meet you, rookies. I’m Park Dusik, your practical gym instructor guiding your combat training from here on.”
Bulging muscles, lecherous eyes.
Gym instructor Park Dusik.
The trash from the original story who groped female students under the guise of “posture correction.”
His gaze swept the students, landing on me in my uniform, standing out awkwardly.
“You there, silver-hair. What’s with the outfit? Come up front.”
I’d hoped for mercy. No such luck.
Swallowing curses, I stepped to the front.
“Sorry. I forgot to bring my gym clothes today.”
I bowed politely. Surviving this came first.
It was clearly my fault anyway.
But Park Dusik ignored the apology, ogling my body openly.
Where the hell are you looking… no way, right?
The ominous premonition hit a second later.
No way, no way… but his massive hand shot out.
This crazy bastard’s really…!
My head said endure it. Causing a scene would just draw attention.
But my body moved before reason.
Whoosh, smack!
“...Huh?”
It was instant. Just before his hand reached my chest, mine flashed out, seizing his wrist.
Not just grabbing. I twisted the joint and pressure point just right, forcing his arm down.
“Ah, agh?! Urk…!”
Park Dusik’s body crumpled toward the floor.
Unprepared for the counter, the twice-as-big brute swallowed a scream and dropped to his knees.
“……”
Silence blanketed the gym.
Park Dusik clutched his wrist, sweating bullets. Students gaped, frozen like statues.
I was the most shocked.
What the hell? Why’d my arm move on its own?!
That wasn’t my will.
The moment threat registered, my body defended optimally.
I flinched and released his wrist.
“S-sorry! My body just moved on its own…!”
“You… you bitch! What the hell do you think you’re doing to your instructor?!”
Park Dusik bellowed with a demonic glare. Humiliation and fear swirled in his eyes.
But backing down now would trash his authority in front of the students.
“Daring to resist your instructor’s rightful guidance with force?!”
“I didn’t mean to! It was… mana! My mana surged out of control!”
“Shut up! Even if it wasn’t on purpose, that’s grounds for discipline!”
Face red with rage, he yelled louder to hide being subdued by a freshman.
“No wonder you can’t control your mana, all wrapped up like that! Take off that bra and hand it over right now! This is discipline—and a forced measure to help you master your mana!”
I had no idea how he jumped to “remove bra,” but I couldn’t defy him.
If it happened again, the disciplinary committee might really convene.
And that committee was full of far worse pigs than this musclehead.
Fuck. Should’ve pretended not to know and snapped his wrist.
Sending him to the ER might’ve been easier.
But too many eyes.
In the end, I feigned trembling shame and slowly reached for my blouse buttons.
...Wait, no. This isn’t acting—I’m actually embarrassed?
Up till now, anger had blinded me, but calmly considering it… this was a massive problem.
Humiliating Park Dusik was fine, but…
The results sucked.
Or rather, totally bizarre.
The sensation of hundreds of gazes on my fingertips.
Park Dusik’s disgusting gulps and heavy breathing.
Chill air slipping between the parting buttons, raising goosebumps.
“Hah… urgh…”
The moan slipping from my lips was no act.
Am I really taking it off? In front of all these people?
But I couldn’t stop.
Park Dusik was drooling in triumph already, and the students stared entranced at my chest.
This was the eroge world.
Overwhelming coercion from twisted common sense.
With shaking hands, I fumbled at the buttons.
