In the End, Wasn’t It All Because I Had Money?
After the test drive, I wandered through the showroom and even sat in a few of the other cars. Bigger ones. Pricier ones.
I’d considered the X7, the tier above it, but it was just too damn big.
Besides, I wasn’t looking for something I’d only drive on special occasions. I was thinking of a car for everyday use.
The one I chose was still going to cost over 160 million won once you added everything up, but even so—it was still an X5.
If I really don’t like it later, I can just buy another one.
If I earned a few more points, the Ferrari—the final boss—wouldn’t be some impossible dream either. Somehow, more than greed, I felt a strange sense of ease settling into my body.
“Please have a safe trip! I’ll be in touch within two months!”
He bowed politely all the way out at the entrance.
The contract had gone smoothly.
“Money really does make the way they treat you completely different.”
I deposited the down payment, signed the papers, and for everything else the dealer took the lead—checking, explaining, handling it all before I even had to ask.
On the ride home, the memory of the test drive lingered so vividly that my current car felt even worse by comparison.
The rattling suspension. The shuddering engine. It was like looking at my old self.
This’ll change soon enough too.
Just as I had changed, everything else would change with me.
“There’s kind of a lot I want to change.”
Once the things around me started changing and I realized I could control them, there wasn’t just one or two things I wanted to fix. There were plenty.
Make it a little better. A little cooler. A little tastier.
I stood in front of the full-length mirror. After cutting down my body fat, my physique really did look different from before.
Not bad. Visually, and by the numbers too.
“Hmm… maybe I should make myself a little taller.”
I had 5 points left.
“Use 2 points on height.”
That brought my height up to 185 centimeters. I was thinking of investing another two or three points into it later.
“Keep the remaining 3 points for now.”
I wanted to keep some extra points in reserve, just in case.
After all, the dice weren’t going to smile at me forever.
What, you weren’t photoshopping some monster cock or anything when you met him, right?
Haha. If you were, I’d slap you right there and walk away. But if it’s real, then he’d just fuck you until you were torn apart, I guess.
That’d be amazing. Haa… I’ve never been pounded by something like that before.
Posting the video had definitely made them more forward than before, but a thin layer of caution still remained.
Maybe that was why that sex account was still stuck in a sort of tug-of-war, a conversation-heavy back-and-forth.
I had the feeling it would take a few more samples before things became easier than this.
Whirrr—
“Huh?”
My phone suddenly buzzed, and a DM came in.
“Well, that’s new.”
She’d only been married for a short while, so she should have still been in the thick of her honeymoon.
Without thinking, I pictured An Hyejeong in my head.
Her name was An Hyejeong. Around 160 centimeters tall, with an ordinary figure. A C-cup, maybe even more—a real glamor type.
She had just about every trait men tended to love. She was a huge gamer, had a laid-back personality, and her style and hobbies were pretty damn hip, if you asked me.
She’d even been someone I’d once had a crush on.
When she’d suddenly announced she was getting married, everybody had been shocked.
And doubly so because her fiancé was the quietest guy in the club.
Next Wednesday. Three days from now.
As always, she was incredibly impulsive.
“Good morning, everyone! Happy New Year!”
It was the first day back at work after the holiday.
“Hey, Song Hoon, feeling a bit more alive?”
The first greeting of the year was asking whether I’d gotten my energy back. Somehow, that felt pretty damn tacky.
“Huh? You look different somehow.”
Manager Kim narrowed his eyes and ran his gaze over me from head to toe.
“Did you lose some weight?”
“Hmm? Can you tell?”
I grinned and rubbed a hand over my stomach.
“No, seriously. How stressed were you that you’d lose that much weight in just a few days?”
“Ah, I just decided to start dieting now that it’s the New Year.”
“Right. Good. A New Year’s diet.”
At the department head’s remark, I said no, but my face clearly said otherwise.
Still, I didn’t bother arguing. Too much trouble.
“Hello! Happy New Year!”
“Oh! Yeomyeong, you’re here? You look beautiful as always today!”
When Seol Yeomyeong walked in wearing another bright, pretty outfit, every eye in the room shifted toward her.
“Hello, Manager!”
With a smile so soft it was almost like a fox tail swishing behind her, Seol Yeomyeong greeted me.
“Ahhh—Yeomyeong, hello!”
Manager Kim, his expression already melting into a grin, cut in and stole the greeting before turning to look at me.
“See that? Hah. You can’t get by in life if you keep throwing up walls like you do.”
That made me snort.
He was talking to me, sure, but I was also thinking about what kind of face he’d make if he found out I’d been fucking Seol Yeomyeong all night and even finished inside her.
“Tch. Aren’t you even going to accept my greeting? Are you scared someone’ll find out?”
It was break time after work had started. Seol Yeomyeong followed me up to the rooftop garden, leaned against my side, and pouted.
“Manager Kim stole your greeting. I was letting it slide.”
“I was greeting you, not Manager Kim.”
Just out of sight, the tips of Seol Yeomyeong’s fingers brushed over my thigh.
“Hey. Not at work.”
“So what? No one else is around, and it’s the company. How about it? I hear guys secretly fantasize about stuff like this.”
Seol Yeomyeong gave a cheeky grin.
“You’re way too bold.”
“Pfft. I’m kidding. Still, how about once at the office sometime?”
“And then you’ll start begging me to fuck you again?”
“You’re such a tease, honestly.”
She slapped my arm a few times, but from behind her shoulder—
Jo Juyeon came up to the rooftop garden with a few employees from the department.
Then she looked back and forth between Seol Yeomyeong and me, frowned like she’d just tasted something rotten, and muttered, “That crazy bitch.”
Seol Yeomyeong, hearing that, muttered a curse under her breath, pressed herself even closer to me, said nothing else, and just laughed while patting my shoulder.
“Ah, Manager, you’re seriously so funny. What even is that?”
“Huh?”
“Wow. A man with a sense of humor like yours is rare, you know.”
For a moment, all eyes turned toward us. Especially the men’s.
And sensing that attention, Seol Yeomyeong flashed a hidden little smirk and made a V sign with her hand.
“See? Yeomyeong really is a fox. A total fox.”
“Hmph. What does it matter? Thanks to that, I got closer to you, didn’t I?”
“Close enough to rub against me naked, you mean?”
“Oh ho~ you’re such a sly bastard!”
I hadn’t known before we had sex, but she was absolutely a fox. A hell of a fox.
Still, I couldn’t say I hated it. None of that was she doing it for her own sake, after all. It was all to look good in my eyes.
On the bed, Seol Yeomyeong was nothing but a meek little lamb.
Hmm… maybe she isn’t that meek after all.
At first I’d thought she was tame, but the more time went on, the sluttier she seemed to get.
Even while I was working, my mind was still sinking deeper and deeper into points.
How can I earn more points?
How can I save more points and use them better?
What standard does the system use to rank women?
How do I raise the stage?
Does the dice really roll randomly?
After all that thinking, I’d reached a few conclusions.
No matter how hard I looked, I couldn’t find anything with a higher value-per-point than Bitcoin.
Ah, I did find one thing: Berkshire Hathaway Class A. One share of that insane stock was worth close to a billion won.
But something about it made me uneasy. Unlike cryptocurrency, I had no idea what kind of result I’d get if I invested points into the stock market and ended up with shares.
Especially since the government keeps an eye on the stock market. And I’ve got no clue what the mechanism is behind one point turning into one share.
I hated complicated things. Absolutely hated them.
Right. Make money with points. I’ll just secure my initial capital, then invest that and make money the normal way.
There were dividend stocks and all that, weren’t there? Or other forms of investment.
Put in 1,000 won and a 10 percent return was only 100 won. But 10 percent of a billion won was 100 million.
Hmm… investment doesn’t sound bad.
I wasn’t planning to go all in and become some full-time investor. “Investor” was just a title I meant to use as a business card for aiming higher.
That con artist Joe Lowe lived like that in Hollywood, surrounded by Hollywood celebrities, all because he had money, didn’t he?
Once I had seed money, the best move would be to invest in things money couldn’t easily buy. Of course, the size of that seed money would be a little different from normal.
Whether it was height, my dick, or anything tied to my body. Or if the stage went up—charisma, stamina, youth. Or maybe probability itself.
Possible? Like raising the success rate of something. Stuff like that.
It’s possible. To use that function, Stage 2 must be unlocked.
So it is possible.
Rich people happily throw in hundreds of millions, even billions, of dollars just to get things you can’t see with the naked eye. They do it in dollars, too.
Meanwhile, I can just click and get it with points.
Having a rough direction in mind made me feel a lot lighter.
There was definitely a huge difference between running full speed with a goal in mind and running without one.
And with that, Wednesday—the day of An Hyejeong’s housewarming—finally arrived.
