I'm Not Hans
“Mm… yeah, a game like this has gotta have something like that. Heh.”
Lying on the quiet rooftop, sorting through the info from the people I'd mimicked, I unexpectedly dredged up something juicy.
“Elf slave market, huh.”
It was intel pulled from the memories of some guy named Mak at the workshop.
Eternia was a massive city teeming with every race imaginable, so naturally, the shadows crawled with all sorts of crimes and depravities. The security forces were trying their best, but it was way too much for them to handle alone. And if Eternia was considered decent thanks to them, god knows what kind of clusterfuck the other places were...
“Elves really are pretty, though...”
The elves I'd seen in videos were all stunning—perfect faces, curves in all the right places for showing off and tight where it counted. Onahole-optimized species, no doubt. The problem was how they'd flip out and try to kill any human they spotted.
Can you really turn something like that into a slave? Oh fuck.
Males really were monsters of lust. I felt that truth hit home again.
I snuck around the rumored elf slave market area multiple times, picking up mimic-worthy intel along the way. What I'd learned:
Captured elves got a procedure to seal their mana first off. Then, for good measure, double- or triple-layered imprints and restraints. And if the buyer wanted, they'd even sever the tendons in their limbs.
With owners that insanely beautiful, there were apparently more than enough guys desperate to fuck them no matter what.
And the real shocker?
Limb-severed onahole is a bit much...
One psycho who'd bought an elf tried getting head, only for her to chomp!—turning him into a eunuch. So he hacked off her limbs, yanked all her teeth, and donated her to the slave market as a cheap public cumdump toilet for customers.
Her life force was so tenacious she was still getting plenty of use...
“Ugh.”
Not my taste.
Women are best defiled with all their limbs intact—that's where the flavor lives.
Tsk-tsking to myself, I suddenly felt something in my pocket vibrate.
What the—?
Vrrr—from my hand came the elf detector.
Why's this...?
One of the goodies I'd looted from the workshop. I'd checked it with Ancient Tech Artisan, and it was basically a radar that pinged nearby elves' locations.
Probably for allies to track each other... but why was it going off now?
Slave market's still a ways off, right?
I eyed the detector, gauging the direction. Definitely not the market.
“Hmmm...”
A fun hunch bubbling up, I grinned and leaped into action.
“This for real?”
“Hmph.”
The hulking brute gave no answer to the young guy lugging what looked like a massive cannon.
“C'mon, say something. An elf sneaking right into the city center? That's bullshit.”
“Reliable intel.”
“Sigh...”
The young guy readjusted his rattling cannon and griped at the brute. “But do we really need the whole crew just for one elf?”
“If it snuck into the city, it's got some guts.”
To nab the infiltrator, the brute had looped in some trusted contacts for a joint capture. As long as they snagged her with all limbs intact, a single platinum coin was a sure payout.
“Even for a one-shot jackpot life, this feels iffy...”
“Shut it.”
Dismissing the kid, the brute hunkered down to wait for updates. Their meticulously planned elf roundup had just kicked off.
“Phew... gonna hit the john real quick.”
“...”
No response from the brute, so the grumbling youth headed off. Thud! Some noise, but the brute ignored it.
Soon after, flush sounds echoed, and the youth returned, eyeing the brute. “No word yet?”
“Nope.”
“...”
“...”
Bored with the silence, the youth piped up again. “But once we catch her, straight to the slave market, right?”
“Obviously. They're desperate for fresh elves lately—fingers crossed for delivery. Haggle right, we could score two platinum.”
“Whoa... two platinum...”
Copper, silver, gold—and the pinnacle, platinum. High-value stuff you rarely saw.
“What's an elf even worth a couple mansions for...?”
“See her face once, and that mouth of yours snaps shut.”
“That pretty?”
The brute nodded silently.
A brief hush fell.
The transmission ended, and the brute shot to his feet. The youth rose slowly behind him—and leveled the cannon at his back.
BOOM!
“Gack—!”
An explosion roared, flames erupting. A massive hole tore through the brute's chest center; he crumpled to the floor.
His final thought: Why... me...?
Realizing it was the youth who'd shot him, his consciousness faded.
Staring down at the blood-soaked corpse, the youth muttered, “She's gonna be my sex-processing slave. Why the fuck would you touch her?”
Han Jin-seong dropped the cannon with a thunk, thick gunpowder stench hanging heavy. Hot smoke wisped across his face.
“Cannons really ain't my style. Yeah.”
Rienna kicked off the ground, streaking like the wind. Behind her thundered the footsteps of humans chasing like rabid demons.
True to her forest kin, her mobility was unmatched—even in the city.
Lightning-fast. Supple.
“Fire—!”
Bang!
A sonic boom cleaved the air as a net hurtled toward her.
“Ngh...!”
She dodged, but explosions burst from all sides, the nets' encirclement tightening relentlessly.
No matter how skilled Rienna was, she couldn't evade endless assaults forever. Starved for days, her stamina plummeted from the prolonged chase, movements growing sluggish.
Finally, one step too late.
The net snared her dead-on; she tumbled across the ground.
Skin scraped raw, stinging pain flooding her body.
Snapping alert, she whipped out her dagger and slashed desperately—but the net held firm. Woven from metal fibers, it showed no sign of giving.
Human men encircled her, chuckling.
Rienna glared daggers, grinding her teeth. Hatred blazed in her eyes like wildfire.
“Grrr...!!”
“Whoa there.”
Thwack!
She lunged despite the net; the spearman roughly booted her down.
Another man stormed up, snarling at him. “Hey, asshole! You know how pricey that is? Fuck—a single scratch, and it's on you!”
“S-sorry...”
As curses flew, the chase leader stepped forward. He pinned Rienna's back with his knee, wrenched her wrists behind her, and slapped on mana-sealing cuffs.
“Whew... that bastard pitched the idea first—where the hell is he?”
Scratching his head irritably, he stood and turned to radio someone.
Elf capture complete. Subdued. Tension at the scene eased bit by bit.
“...Hnnngh...!!”
Rienna thrashed, teeth clenched. But the cuffs severed her mana completely.
Extreme exhaustion crashed over her; face-planting, she heaved ragged breaths.
That was when it hit.
Shall I save you?
“...!”
Rienna jolted, scanning around. Nothing but loathsome humans.
The voice echoed only in her mind.
Ah, won't find me just looking around. How about it—interested?
She shook her head fiercely.
Just nod if you accept my offer. I'll bust you out right now.
Rienna gnashed her teeth mentally. I won't trust some filthy human... Get out of my head!!
I'm not human, y'know?
“...!!”
She flinched—her thoughts had transmitted directly. Shock hit, then doubt at the “not human” bit.
Liar...
For real. Not human—I'm a Doppelganger.
...Doppel...ganger?
Unfamiliar term. But she knew it was some kind of monster.
And now, one was talking in her head.
For Rienna—who'd always “slash first, ask later” with monsters—this felt bizarrely novel.
Her deliberation was brief.
“...Help me.”
“...?”
She murmured softly, cautiously nodding.
If it wasn't human, maybe okay to accept.
The leader caught the faint words, turning suspiciously toward her.
“What'd you say—”
Crunch—blood sprayed in a line.
Before he finished, a spear tip pierced his heart from behind.
Rienna froze, eyes wide.
The stabber? The same bastard who'd kicked her earlier.
You're now my exclusive bitch.
The man's final ragged breath came amid agony. “Han... s... you backstabbing fuck...!”
“I'm not Hans, you fuck.”
Hans murmured low.
