All screens across the world were seized by a man dressed in a cheap t-shirt.
Standing motionless beside him was a jet-black knight who didn't look like any being from this world, no matter how you sliced it.
The location on the screen was the main news studio at KBC Broadcasting Station in Seoul, South Korea.
Huddled in one corner of the studio were the terrified broadcast staff, their faces drained of color.
The man let out a massive yawn and leaned into the microphone.
His voice was utterly ordinary, laced with just a hint of annoyance.
"From today onward, this Earth falls under my management. The current system is way too inefficient and noisy, so I've decided to take the reins myself. Spread the word."
"I'll hold off on the big speeches for now—it's the first day, after all. Let's keep it simple."
As everyone held their breath, he shrugged and pressed on.
"My plan is to tidy up this noisy, messy world and build my empire—the most efficient and quiet one imaginable."
"So, anything that rubs me the wrong way from here on out? It'll get sorted without warning. People, buildings, nations... doesn't matter."
The man made a show of checking his wristwatch.
There was no watch.

The screen went black.
At the same moment, he nudged the jet-black knight beside him and muttered.
"Man, I'm starving. What chicken should we grab?"
