Pure Sibling Date with Romi
I headed out on the street with Romi for a pure sibling date. The bustling street was perfectly peaceful. Looking down at Cheonggyecheon, we made our way toward the crowd. By my side walked Romi, looking even prettier than usual.
Damn, even I think she's fucking pretty.
A fresh red blouse. A white ribbon decorating her neck. A checkered skirt with garter belt, stockings, sleek high heels. And a cute ivory coat to top it all off. People around us couldn't take their eyes off her.
"Whoa, check out that girl. She's gorgeous."
"Is she a rookie idol? Amazing."
"Who's the guy next to her? Manager?"
"Manager's got looks too. Look at those shoulders—thought he was a bodyguard."
I'm not a manager, though. I took people's reactions in stride. I'd seen way bigger reactions without batting an eye. But Romi was different. She scoffed and strutted ahead with a model walk.
What's this, villainess mode? Can't stop her.
Her coat hem and skirt swayed with each step. Even her ass jiggled enticingly. Plump and bouncy♡ Still, I felt great. Dating a beauty like this.
Even if she was my stepsister. No guilt. No reason to feel any.
"Hmph, already thinking about the gym?"
"Huh? No."
"You had that look. You love working out, right?"
"Right now, you're better."
My casual answer turned Romi's face bright red in an instant. Her cat-like eyes trembled. Cute even outside.
"W-what's that supposed to mean?! O-of course! Hah, hilarious!"
"How's the part-time gig?"
"Just filling in. Nothing special."
"At least you make money. Jealous."
"Dad gives plenty of allowance, but it's nice to have extra security."
"Calling him Dad so easily."
I sighed. I didn't even want to think of that guy as a father. I glanced around. Romi, who'd been watching me, mumbled.
"Idiot."
"Hm?"
"No, sorry."
"Apologizing out of nowhere."
"Actually, there's another reason I hang out with those guys."

I was surprised. There really was a reason. I asked gently.
"What is it?"
"Your computer."
"Oh? The broken one?"
"Wanted to buy you a new one. But RAM? Graphics card? They're ridiculously expensive."
My mind went blank for a second. I looked down at Romi. My chest burned and pounded. A feeling I'd never experienced before.
She was worried about that? I wasn't even expecting it. From her?
It was an old computer that had broken ages ago. Of course. Over six years old. Graphics card was a 1060.
Why do I suddenly feel sorry for Romi?
After Dad's remarriage, I'd thought I was least close to her. But Romi was different. Caring about my busted computer too.
She looked different now.
"Nah, I'll handle it myself. Haha."
"Still, guys get frustrated without porn, right?"
"I don't use computers just for porn."
"Sure, I'll believe you."
"Ugh."
I glared at Romi, then chuckled. She stuck her tongue out playfully and smiled. Adorable.
Who wouldn't fall for a girl like this?
Unless you're some heartless bastard, impossible.
A sweet smell wafted nearby. Waffles. Romi pointed daintily at the stand.
"Hey, waffles over there?"
"Yeah. Want some?"
"Yep!"
"Let's go."
I naturally took Romi's hand. She looked surprised but leaned into it a bit. Her light weight pressed against my arm. Maybe not wanting to lose, she muttered.
"What a sight. You didn't have to hold my hand, hmph."
I enjoyed it. We each got a waffle. Coffee for me, strawberry for her. Romi fiddled with hers, surprised.
"Whoa, better quality than I thought. Nom nom. Super tangy!"
"Yeah? This one's good too. Nice body."
"Ooh, fancy words!"
"Ahem."
"Here."
Embarrassed, I took a bite. Romi stood on tiptoes and leaned in. Thinking she was pranking, she suddenly kissed me. Stuck out her tongue, stole my bite, and ate it herself.
"Hehe♡"
"Hey, you?"
I stared in shock. Romi calmly ate what was in my mouth, eyes narrowing.
"Mmm, delicious. Sweet. Hehe♡"
Caught off guard by her surprise attack. But I liked it. Memories like this are good.
We kept walking. Was thinking cafe, but just strolling felt nice too.
"What're you gonna do later, Oppa?"
A question about the future. I sighed naturally. Truth was, I had no good answer.
My life stopped after Mom disappeared.
Time freezing isn't great. Buddha stuff or whatever.
My time was still stuck in the past. So my answer was lame.
"Dunno. It's tough."
"Be a fighter. Heard you make bank in America."
"Not anyone can just go. Plus, everyone's packing heat. Hate that."
Same reason I disliked Southeast Asia. If traveling broke, I'd pick Korea or Japan.
Romi nodded like she got it. So what about her dream?
"You?"
"Me? Not webtoons like Sis."
True. Sona was a jack-of-all-trades with tons of talent. Drew pretty well too. Made 800k on one commission.
How good must it be to pay a newbie illustrator that much.
Made me more curious about Romi. What talent did she have?
"Maybe stories. Like novels."
Romi chuckled. Unexpected, but it suited her. I smiled warmly.
Her cat eyes widened accusingly.
"What? Pfft."
"Nah, just think it'd suit you. What genre?"
"Hm, romance or rom-fantasy?"
"Nice. Girls love that stuff."
"But anyone can write it? Nah."
True, but you can't say that before starting. I patted her shoulder.
"Stick with it. Who knows? You might have talent."
"Me? You do it."
"I got none."
"There you go again."
I placed my hand on her head. Stroked gently. She blushed faintly, looking up.
I was struck again.
Her looking up, me stroking. More romantic than I thought.
I smiled softly. Her eyes wavered dangerously.
"Romi, you can do it."
"W-what? I like romance more than most."
"Yeah? Why?"
"Oh, didn't I tell you? Mom and Dad were super lovey-dovey."
First I'd heard. Stepmom never talked old stories after remarriage. I listened closely.
Romi smiled cat-like and continued.
"So sweet. Then Dad died of liver cancer. Romance shattered in a moment."
"I see."
"That's why I wanna write it. Eternal romance, even if impossible."
Now I understood what Romi wanted. Envied her dream. Like a star shining in her heart.
I got none. Empty.
At least now, with her here, my heart raced. Otherwise, just void.
I seriously stroked her cheek.
"Eek, what suddenly?"
"You can do it."
"You've said that."
"Wish hard, keep going. Even limping, keep moving. Reach out, and you'll grab that star. I believe it."
Words Mom once said to me. Though I became blind, couldn't even see the star.
But Romi could. I thought.
Romi stared blankly, surprised. We paused. I faced her.
Smack! She teared up and punched my chest. Didn't hurt, but shocked.
"Damn, saying that crap suddenly!"
"H-huh?"
"Thanks, idiot! Sniff, no one's ever said that to me."
"Then cry."
"Huh?"
"I'll wipe your tears."
I hugged her. Wrapped warmly, sharing heat. Felt her bury her face in my chest. Like a cat digging for warmth.
"Sniff, sob. I'll do great, for real!"
"Yeah."
"For you!"
"Hm? No need."
"Waaah."
My chest grew wet with tears. Ah, shoulda worn a thick sweater. But this wasn't bad. Frail Romi standing firm on her feet. Admirable.
Nice, this too. First date for both of us, basically.
We influenced each other positively. Felt great. Heart not just hot, but warm and soft.
I resolved.
Wanna be Romi's knight. Really want to.
I smiled. She'd cried it out and pulled back. Back to tsundere, but with a gentle gaze.
"Why the grin?"
"Not grinning."
"Loser like you♡ Hmph, throat's dry."
"Cafe?"
"Yeah!"
We hit a nearby cafe. Sipped our faves, chatted idly.
"So yeah. Coworker Sis turns 30 the day after tomorrow, says she wants to die."
"Some girls get sensitive about age. Manage yourself, you can date anytime."
"She's pretty. Used to teach elementary."
"Yeah? Why quit?"
"You know, teacher rights these days."
Yeah. Seniors wrecked it. Juniors fighting to hold on—news everywhere. Suicides, students disrespecting.
"She good at the job?"
"Yeah. Has sense. Her bare face was pretty too."
"Oh."
Felt closer with each chat. Ate at a nearby street food joint. Table had red tteokbokki, sundae, fritters, fish cake broth.
I asked casually.
"This okay?"
"Would you buy me designer bags, fancy steak?"
"If money allows."
"Idiot. Luxury apartment too?"
"If money allows. That's romance, right?"
"That's why you're a loser. Perfect sap."
"Why bring up sap? Sigh."
I laughed helplessly. Such a unique girl. Ajumma brought more, grinning.
"Aigoo, perfect couple. Match so well! Haha!"
"Thanks."
I bowed briefly. Romi paused mid-bite, face red. My heart raced too. I tossed out.
"Hey, your face is red."
"I know."
I held the fish cake broth bowl to her face.
"Redder than tteokbokki. Wash up."
"Ugh, buzz off."
We eyed each other and chuckled. Chatted nonstop till done.
"Wanna think about my story."
"Head home?"
"Yeah, sorry. Wanted more time."
"No prob. Plenty of chances."
Romi blinked surprised, then nodded eagerly. Her bright smile was nice.
"Yeah, right!"
"Let's go."
Finished eating, headed home. Romi gripped my hand tight, beaming. Walking together was pure bliss.
"Eek!"
"Hm? Romi, what's up?"
She stopped suddenly, wincing. Wondered what—then she hopped in place, shaking her head.
"Nothing, let's go."
"Your feet hurt? Don't usually wear heels."
"No? Embarrassing."
"It's fine. Sit."
Sat her on a nearby bench. Face flushed, flustered.

Slipped off her heels, massaged her feet. Heard if not used to them, it hurts.
True. Her feet are pretty too.
I caressed them. She turned her head slightly.
"Stop touching. They'll smell."
"Smells good."
"Pervert."
"What's wrong with guys being pervy?"
"Ugh, bullshit."
I chuckled. Romi was impressive. After a while, she pushed my forehead with her foot. No smell at all.
"Enough. Let's go."
"Yes, ma'am."
Held her hand, walked again. Home nearing, she asked slyly.
"Mom's home, right?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Got something I wanna do."
"What?"
What now. Romi smiled like a little devil. Glanced at my crotch, lewd grin.
"Guess what?"
"Y-you?!"
Back to unpredictable little devil Romi. My heart pounded wildly.
