Chapter 121: Star Rating
That's it, seriously. What were you expecting? But what are you gonna do about it? What can you even do besides raging like crazy or cussing out customer service? lololol
...Fuck, so I got my account suspended for verbal abuse toward customer service. (Screenshot of account suspension reason.jpg)

(NoName Part 3 Clear Screenshot.jpg)
Why's NoName getting all this mention? She's relaying story mode in a game that's been out for years and dead as dirt, super immersed which is rare for streamers, on 10/10/10 difficulty no less, and her leader skills are on another level so of course she's getting hype lolol
Always "in-game issue" for everything but I've been playing since launch you idiots lol
“Hello?”
[Nami, you doing okay? Nothing going on? You ate?]
“Yeah... just grabbed something.”
[Aigoo, from your voice I can tell you only ate one meal.]
The dim room was sporadically lit by the smartphone screen lighting up the ceiling on its own. I flipped the phone over and buried my face in the pillow.
It was getting awkward to respond, so in the ensuing silence, Professor Cheon filled it again.
[Your energy's super low today, Nami. Anything hurting?]
“Hurting? I'm totally fine. Probably just tired from all the excitement yesterday.”
[Sorry for waking you early. Oh right, Nami—12th, so next Wednesday, you free? Got a potions license contract thing, someone's coming to see you briefly. Set it for my lab for now.]
“Yeah, no problem. Anytime works.”
[Good, feels like forever since I heard your voice even though it hasn't been long. Ah, tomorrow's academy day so I shouldn't keep you. Sweet dreams!]
“Yessir. You too, Professor Cheon. Probably not bedtime yet.”
The call ended with a click, and the call indicator light vanished completely. The room fell utterly silent.
It felt like floating in a world of pure nothingness—no light, no sound.
I'd wanted to tell Professor Cheon so much over the phone, but it ended up just basic check-in talk. The lump in my chest felt so stuffy and unresolved that I flipped over, pulling the blanket up over my head.
“Where'd I see that before...”
Adella's silver bob wouldn't leave my mind. Felt like a winged cat circling mockingly above my head.
Adella was just an AI character. Designed by Wearsoft for commercial appeal, given abilities and a story, and plopped into the open world.
So it wasn't weird that I didn't recognize her at first—those silver locks, cat ears, and slanted eyes. In the photo, her hair was super long, not the current bob.
“Alzahab's Pendant.”
In my past life, the Demon King always wore that pendant around her neck, and inside was a photo of someone identical to Adella.
Just a facial resemblance by coincidence? Or was I possessed into the game world? The absurd guess drew a hollow chuckle.
No way. For starters, the open world in-game had flat terrain everywhere. Meaning, like flat-Earthers claim, no sphere—clear boundaries. Edges ramped up endlessly. Gravity pulled toward the center.
But my past world's Earth was identical in size to this one, constellations matching, like a parallel world. And no matter how realistic the open world, sensitive folks like me would've felt the dissonance—commands lagging 1ms, mana flow unnaturally steady.
But the most likely theory got debunked perfectly, leaving me confused.
It merged with the crashing emptiness post-stream, head throbbing like it might split.
20,000 viewers—nearly 20k watching me. I should've been thrilled... so why.
Why this? Oh right, didn't even say bye and just ended stream.
Boose now would sort my thoughts, but no beer cans in the fridge.
I wrapped my arms and legs around the pillow my size, hugging tight. Like hugging Niobe to sleep back then, I whined at my pillow pointlessly.
Yeah, right. No one to vent to.
No one to talk about myself with.
No one who gets what I feel.
Maybe that's why I called Professor Cheon—to unload it all.
But couldn't... obvious reason.
Reincarnation, or realizing your past life, comes with crushing loneliness.
Why's the pillowcase so damp? Lights on—tears from my eyes.
This body cries too easily, hard to control emotions. Felt the truth of humans as hormone slaves, tried distracting with silly thoughts, but worries lingered.
Crunch—
“Ah.”
Bit down hard, something shifted, small pebble-like in mouth. Tongued it out—white thing on sheets.
My lower molar.
“Fuck, nothing goes right.”
Tongue on the spot—bitter blood. Neighboring tooth wobbling too.
Pop—
Mouthed wide, yanked the other with fingers. More blood this time.
Tossed the two tiny teeth in trash, back to bed.
Swallowed the ongoing blood mixed with spit down my throat.
It's from my body anyway, fine to eat.
Trivial compared to past life's woes, but for a peaceful night, grabbed phone under blanket.

Rating: Not Recommended (★☆☆☆☆)
[Thumbs down]
Left the rating, tossed phone on floor carelessly.
Just as I tried to sleep—ding— notification.
Crawled out lazily, squinted at the message.
This was Yuna's brother, the editor I'd messaged earlier about commissioning.
