Welcome to the Constellation Corridor
In an instant, darkness swallowed my vision. ‘?’
I hadn’t passed out… no, my consciousness was crystal clear. Yet it felt like I’d been locked in a pitch-black room without a shred of light. And…
What the hell? Am I floating?
I’d definitely been sitting in my chair. But now, the sensation was like drifting weightlessly. It was subtle, but if I had to compare it, it felt like being suspended in a room filled with jelly.
LOADING…
Loading? A familiar font materialized before my eyes—the loading message from Lost Honor. Even the Lost Honor logo spinning beside the text was identical.
No way?
Like Han Seol-ah, had I been pulled into the game?
Holy shit… A chill raced down my spine.
This is huge.
My character in the game. ‘Nebula.’ What kind of monster was she? One word: ‘utter trash.’ No, beyond rotten—completely decomposed. The one and only character who’d cleared every piece of content in the game to the absolute max.
If I became Nebula?
S-rank’s a given. EX-rank’s a joke… I’d be an S+EX-rank hunter.
Welcome to the Constellation Corridor, Savior.
Flash—light flooded my vision, and solid ground met my feet. I instinctively opened my eyes, and a breathtaking sight unfolded.
Below me stretched an endless galaxy of stars. Above, a cascade of star clusters adorned what passed for a ceiling. A colossal corridor pierced this infinite cosmos, stretching straight ahead.
“Whoa…”
Along both sides of the corridor, between towering pillars, stood statues of familiar figures.
“These are…?”
They looked familiar. Of course—they were statues of the classes from Lost Honor.
A hooded figure with a bow: the Scout.
Full plate armor, one-handed sword, and greatshield: the Knight.
And lining the hall: statues of every single class in Lost Honor. Classes I’d all leveled up myself.
…Yeah, I maxed every single one to 99.
Among the grayed-out statues, one stood out—a single blue one with color. A mage in robes, wielding a staff shaped like a snowflake thrust forward.
“…”
I recalled the message I’d seen just before entering this place.
You can use Frost Sorcerer via skill synchronization…
I reached out and touched the statue.
Frost Sorcerer: Synchronizing
“So that’s how it works.”
I remembered the bone-chilling frost mana surging through me just before the blackout. Must be this class’s influence.
“And next.”
Right beside the Frost Sorcerer: an identical figure, but with a flame-shaped staff—the Pyromancer. I reached out.
Class still locked.
Unlock Condition: Possession by a 'Fire'-attribute hunter
“Huh…”
Han Seol-ah was an S-rank Frost hunter. Possessing her into the game must’ve unlocked the Frost Sorcerer for me.
I stepped back from the statue and gazed down the endless corridor.
If this is where all the classes I raised are gathered…
At the corridor’s end loomed seven massive tiers. At the edge of each tier stood pairs of statues facing each other. And at the highest tier, alone: a statue seated on an ornate throne, overlooking everything below.
Gulp.
The pinnacle classes of Lost Honor. Hidden classes unlocked only after maxing every job to 99 and clearing special quests.
My character, Nebula’s class… Void Knight.
There it is.
Suppressing my trembling excitement, I walked the corridor to the tiers.
First tier: ‘Sword God and War God.’
Second tier: ‘Necrolord and Myriad Image Lord.’
…Up to the seventh tier, passing 14 statues—the apex of 14 job categories.
I stood before the statue identical to Nebula.
Void Knight…
Gulp.
Up close, it looks seriously badass.
As my trembling fingertip reached out—
Void Knight
Class still locked.
Unlock Condition: Light all the stars
Figured as much.
Light all the stars? Meaning unlock every class.
Tsk. I clicked my tongue in disappointment.
“Yeah, couldn’t be that easy.”
If they handed me the cheat character from the start, who’d balance the game?
“Whew.”
That gave me the gist of the mechanics. Use the ‘Possession Ticket’ from the quest reward to possess real-world hunters into Lost Honor… unlock classes that way, then wield them via my awakening ability, Synchronization.
Would you like to exit?
I dismissed the timely alert and overlooked the Constellation Corridor.
“Damn.”
Up close, I hadn’t noticed: each statue bore faint white dots, like stars. From here, it looked like a night sky brimming with them.
Right now, only Frost Sorcerer was unlocked. But if I awakened them all, even those at the end?
Light every star. Unlock Nebula.
“Forget saving Korea—I’d save the whole damn planet.”
My chest swelled with grandeur.
I exited the Constellation Corridor.
Blink. One blink, and I was back in reality.
My character stood blankly on the monitor. Han Seol-ah was gone.
“Huh?”
…But.
“Why didn’t she take these?”
Where she’d left, the items I’d made for her glittered dazzlingly on the floor.
“At least she took the staff.”
Thank god the key piece, the genesis staff Eternal Winter, was missing.
I scooped up the items.
“Guess she couldn’t take everything.”
I couldn’t know the details, but there must be restrictions. Like causality or the golden rule—some universal law.
“Balance is a big deal, after all.”
Whoosh. My exhaled breath frosted the monitor.
“Whoa.”
Cold frost mana coursed through my body.
“This is insane…”
Me? An unawakened nobody. The ultra-rare type confirmed to have zero chance of awakening.
Why zero? Simple.
No mana hall.
Towers appeared and blessed all humanity with a new organ for mana: the mana hall. I didn’t have one. No miracle, and I’d stay unawakened forever.
But now? It had formed.
“Heh, hehehe.”
Mana overflowed through me.
What defined an EX-rank hunter? Awakening ability and mana capacity.
Mine: Synchronization. The ‘system’ messages hunters saw… according to the one that popped up when I cleared the quest, it was straight-up EX-rank.
Now if my mana was EX-level too, I’d be an EX-rank hunter…
“…”
Problem was, I had no clue how much mana filled me.
“Gotta awaken to find out.”
Awakened folks all got training. I’d never had it.
“But no worries.”
Over ten long years, I never fully gave up hope of awakening.
Well, I gave up and picked it back up endlessly.
Hope fades, sure.
…Anyway. I’d prepared a secret stash for if it happened.
I minimized the game.
Click. Click.
I rummaged through computer folders.
“Where’d I stash it?”
After a while.
“Found it.”
In the ‘Trash’ folder. Nested under ‘Hope,’ ‘Fuck,’ ‘Awakening.’
Beginner Awakener Training Manual
The official Hunter Association training manuals. Top-secret, no leaks allowed… but I’d collected every type from the black market.
“Black Market’s a godsend.”
Among the hefty collection, I opened the ‘Frost’ one.
You have taken your first step as a Frost ability user.
“Nice.”
Majestic greeting.
Frost awakening abilities start at a minimum of A-rank. They’re that powerful—but tricky to handle.
“Whoa.”
Even with crap mana, the floor’s not pitiful? Huge perk.
A-rank awakener Kim Young-jae failed mana control during frost magic training—his head exploded.
A-rank awakener Kim In-tae rushed a frost spell—mana rod overloaded, body burst.
Today, only one Frost awakener remains in Korea.
Korea’s guardian, whom you know: Han Seol-ah.
In short: without Han Seol-ah-level talent, Frost hunters die.
“…”
And now, it’s your turn to wield Frost mana.
“Holy hell…”
…Brutal.
No wonder Frost awakeners were rare worldwide.
“They all died.”
I flipped pages.
Practice Section - Chapter 1
Beginner
Ice Rose Creation
“Ugh, dizzy.”
Don’t they usually teach theory first?
Incredibly complex magic circles crammed the pages. Dissected human anatomy diagrams galore.
I skimmed more—proper nouns everywhere.
“What a mess.”
…Not the point now. I wasn’t giving up on understanding. Priority: test my mana capacity.
Luckily, it came up soon.
Frost hunter mana is measured by max number of basic spells: Ice Arrow.
System-recognized ranks:
2+ : C-rank
5+ : B-rank
10+ : A-rank
20+ : S-rank
“No EX-rank, huh.”
Makes sense for a beginner manual.
“But how do I cast Ice Arrow?”
Vague.
I’ve seen Han Seol-ah do it…
She focused, extended her hand—sharp, elongated diamond-shaped ice chunks floated up.
That’s Ice Arrow, right?
—The moment I pictured her spell.
Crackle!
Mana raced through me like lightning. From the mana hall straight to my heart, twisting into a mandala-like array only a monk could draw with devotion.
Too complex for my brain. Too fast for my eyes.
And beautiful. Countless patterns in that tiny array—impossible to gauge.
All in the blink of an eye.
And.
Crackle!
“…!”
Elongated diamond ice chunk—Ice Arrow—formed before me.
“What?”
No clue what happened inside me to complete the spell.
…Huh? Just thought it, and my body did it on autopilot?
How do you even draw a mandala with mana? …No idea.
Sober, I couldn’t replicate it.
“Ice Arrow.”
This time, incantation aloud.
Crackle!
Same process. But five arrows.
…Intentioned ‘five’ while chanting, and boom—five.
“Heh.”
Dismissed, repeated several times.
Smooth. Seamless. Effortless.
I didn’t grasp a single step, but my body auto-cast like it was engraved.
I remembered neighbor Cheol-su crying over failed manifestations.
Back then, I thought magic was hard…
Now? This is hard?
Cheol-su bawling over failed casts. Predecessors exploding from poor control.
All talentless?
Maybe. Or maybe I’m an out-of-spec genius.
I kept spawning Ice Arrows.
10.
20—the S-rank bar.
50.
…100.
My tiny room nearly packed, holding them steady…
“Weird.”
Mana didn’t drop.
Cleared them, remade 100.
Still no drop. Not even a hint.
“Mana tank’s ridiculously huge?”
Need more tests. Han Seol-ah’s ace: ‘Permafrost.’
Her all-in destructive ice storm, born to overcome her mana shortage—a one-shot nuke.
She kills bosses and closes gates with it.
Cast this, and I’d know my capacity. She collapses after one—beat that, and I surpass her S-rank days.
“…Let’s try.”
Will up, mana surged wildly again.
Rooooar—!
Permafrost orb hovered in my palm.
“…”
Even she scrapes bottom for one shot. Yet it formed as easily as Ice Arrow.
This stability…
Normally, the villa would freeze solid—but mana obeyed perfectly.
A storm in my hand.
Then.
Two. Three.
Rooooaaar—!
Four. Five…
Boooom—!
“Heh.”
And yet… mana.
Didn’t budge.
“Ha, hahahaha.”
One meaning: my mana tank crushed S-rank.
EX-rank!
This moment: Korea gained another EX-rank hunter.
Who? Me.
“Life… reversed…”
My future? Rose-tinted glory.
