Love Letter
“Ijin oppa.”
“Yeah?”
“Do you always go to the student council office during breaks or lunch?”
Sua’s sudden question from the passenger seat. I shrugged and answered.
“Yeah, pretty much. Why the sudden interest?”
“It seems like you and the president are always so busy, but I feel like the rest of us don’t have much to do.”
She probably felt that way because, even though she had joined the student council, there wasn’t much actual work for her. True enough—while we had recruited the officers out of tradition, Cha Yeri and I could handle everything just fine on our own.
“It’s only because there aren’t any school events happening right now. Once the festival and the sports day roll around, we’ll all be swamped.”
“Even so… it means while we’re resting, you and the president are still working the whole time… Aha! Maybe I should start coming by whenever I have free time to help out?”
“It’s fine. It never takes long even when it’s just me and President Cha Yeri alone.”
“Alone… Are you and the president really close, oppa?”
“It feels weird calling it close since she’s my senior, but it is pretty fun being around her.”
“Fun… you say?”
Sua’s eyebrows twisted and her tone grew sharp. The fact that she had dropped the honorifics was proof that jealousy was flaring up. A woman’s jealousy really is thrilling no matter how many times I see it.
“Still, I have to maintain proper boundaries with a senior. I don’t joke around with her or anything—just normal conversation.”
“Is it more fun than when you’re with me?”
“Not even close. No matter what, being with my girlfriend is the most fun.”
Sua’s face relaxed back to normal. Telling her she was the best seemed to have reassured her. Sua, how can you get so competitive over something this small? If you end up depressed during the threesome with Cha Yeri later, I won’t let it slide. I’ll make you face the wall and only let you masturbate.
“It’s important to always show proper respect to your seniors. From now on, don’t joke around with the president and treat her formally.”
“Before you lecture me, how about you start showing me some respect first? You know you’ve been getting awfully cheeky lately, right?”
“Of course I don’t mean showing respect to every senior. It’s only important to show it to those who truly deserve it.”
“So I’m not someone who deserves respect? You’re really pushing it now.”
When I glared at her and scolded, Sua burst into a bright, cheerful laugh. They say you can’t spit on a smiling face, so I held back. Besides, I couldn’t hit that pretty face of hers. After all, I live for—hell, I fuck—that face.
“More importantly, when the hell is that bastard coming out? Does this fucker take a shit before he shows up or what…”
Instead of venting my frustration on Sua, I directed it at the absent Kang Suho. She giggled and then lightly slapped the back of my hand.
“Watch your language!”
She says that even though she knows I won’t change, and she laughed too.
“Tsk. It’s already annoying as hell that I’m driving around with some guy in my car. Now I have to watch my language too?”
“Calm down… Want a candy?”
“Isn’t that candy from my car in the first place?”
“So you don’t want it?”
“No, give it here.”
When I opened my mouth, Sua peeled the wrapper like she couldn’t stop me and popped the candy inside. If her finger had gone in, I would have bitten it, but unfortunately it didn’t.
Crunch. Crunch.
The moment I aggressively crushed the candy between my teeth, Sua let out a deep sigh and shook her head.
“Ijin oppa.”
“What?”
“My sister keeps asking when you’re coming over to the house…”
If it was Sua’s older sister, that meant Jeong Subin. She was the only person who knew we were lovers. Last time she had told me to come greet the family, it seemed she hadn’t been joking.
“But is it really okay for me to just show up like that? Your parents will be there too.”
“Um… It should be fine. My sister and I have already told our parents about you…”
So they had already given our parents a heads-up about me. She had seemed like a free spirit when I first met her, but Jeong Subin really does have a loose tongue. Still, it didn’t sound like she had told them we were dating. If she had, Sua would have informed me immediately.
“What exactly did you say? I need to know so it’s easier when I go greet them, right?”
Sua hesitated for a moment, then spoke with an embarrassed face.
“That you’re the vice president who works directly under the student council president, that you’re Suho’s older brother, that you’ve taken good care of me since we were young… and…”
“And?”
“That… you’re the senior I have a one-sided crush on… My sister said it without asking me…”
“And you just let her say that?”
“It’s not completely wrong, so…”
It wasn’t a one-sided crush but real love, so in that sense it was somewhat accurate. A smile bloomed on my lips at Sua’s affirmation. Seeing it, she bashfully avoided my gaze.
Anyway, there was one thing I could gather from this. My image among Sua’s family members had settled in a fairly positive light. If it had been bad, she wouldn’t have even considered inviting me home. But her parents seemed to accept the “one-sided crush” story more easily than expected. She must have talked about me often before. Even Jeong Subin had seemed to know quite a bit about me already.
“We shouldn’t keep them waiting. I’ll go this Saturday. Sound good?”
“Yes. I’ll let them know. Just think of it as coming over for a simple meal.”
Simple? Sua, this is anything but simple for me. This is a life-or-death matter.
“Yeah. I’ll go with an open mind.”
I made up my mind to be as polite as possible and make a good impression on Sua’s family. In short, this was a preliminary meeting. It was a war to secure permanent rights to Sua’s pussy.
After killing some time with trivial chatter with Sua, the back door opened and Kang Suho climbed in. I frowned.
“Why the fuck are you so—”
“Oppa.”
The moment a curse was about to fly out of my mouth, Sua cut me off. After a quick glance at her, I had no choice but to correct myself.
“Why did you take so long?”
“Sorry, it took longer than I thought. By the way, hyung, my friend asked me to give this to you.”
A sealed pink envelope, clearly from a girl too shy to deliver it herself.
“What is it?”
The person who answered wasn’t me. It was Sua sitting beside me.
“It looks like a love letter. She was too embarrassed to give it to you herself, so she asked me to pass it on.”
“Love letter… Ha… This is ridiculous…”
A small murmur escaped Sua the moment she saw the love letter. She looked like she wanted to rip it to shreds right then and there, but with Suho present it seemed difficult. A woman’s jealousy truly is sweet. And since this wasn’t even my fault, Sua had no grounds to complain to me about it. This resentment would probably be aimed entirely at Kang Suho, who had delivered the love letter in her place.
Rip. Rip.
I deliberately tore the love letter in front of them, crumpled it up, and tossed it out the window. Both Kang Suho and Sua looked startled. But a hint of relief soon colored Sua’s face.
“Why are you delivering something like this for someone? If she has something to say, tell her to come tell me herself.”
“Still, maybe you should at least read it once… My friend was really looking forward to it…”
“I read it. Tell her I’m rejecting her. And don’t ever deliver something like this for me again.”
“Understood…”
Kang Suho looked utterly dejected. Just looking at his pathetic face put me in a great mood.
I started the engine. By then Kang Suho had recovered and leaned forward between the driver’s and passenger seats to speak to Sua.
“Sua, want to hang out this weekend? We haven’t played together in a while.”
“I’m busy this weekend.”
“Then tomorrow at my house we can—”
“I’m busy tomorrow too.”
“Ah… I-I see. That’s too bad… W-well, let’s hang out when you’re free, haha…”
Kang Suho laughed awkwardly and quickly returned to his seat with a gloomy expression.
Sua, no matter how upset you are, isn’t that a bit too cold? The more harshly you treat your only childhood friend, the better my mood gets. This was all thanks to him. Our Sua was already completely smitten with me lately, so of course she would get annoyed when he brazenly handed over a love letter. Look at her now. Normally after speaking that way she would have felt guilty, but she was still visibly pouting.
I had no choice but to step in.
“You’re not that busy today, are you, kid?”
“Probably not… Why do you ask?”
At my question, Sua’s crumpled face immediately smoothed out. Every single one of these little reactions from her turned me on like crazy.
“Let’s all three go to the karaoke room and hang out. Both of you okay with that?”
“Oppa?”
Sua looked flustered by my suggestion. That was understandable—it was the first time I had ever proposed we all play together.
Sua, you’ll do it if I tell you to anyway. And Kang Suho…
“I’m definitely in. It’s rare for hyung to suggest we all hang out together.”
This guy was simply excited at the thought of playing together after so long. He even looked a little grateful, thinking I had suggested it to cheer him up from his gloom. His happy face was annoying, but doing him a favor like this might come in handy later. He had delivered the love letter nicely too. Keep creating plenty more situations that satisfy my dopamine cravings in the future.
“Assuming you both agreed, we’re leaving. Fasten your seatbelts if you don’t want to die.”
After warning the two brats, I pulled the car out.
