The Wedding
The wedding banquet was scheduled to be held at a premium buffet.
Ribs and tenderloin steak live corners, raw fish sashimi bar, and a fresh fry corner.
As an upgraded version, the dessert corner added ice cream bars, and two bottles of wine per table.
The per-person food fee was 140,000 won.
So I decided to put in 200,000 won for the wedding gift.
It was a far larger amount than the customary gifts I usually gave, but I wasn't bothered by it at all.
---
As soon as we arrived at the hotel, we headed to the bride's reception desk.
"Your name, please." (3 / 284 / 5 days ago)
"Joo Sung-hyun. I'm Choi's senior."
"Yes. Here is your ticket." (1 / 202 / 5 days ago)
The person guarding the reception desk was Kim Yu-ra's cousin.
We hadn't met directly before, but during the time we dated, Kim Yu-ra had casually shown me photos and subtly mocked how this aunt was loose.
This aunt had openly said she didn't know if Kim Yu-ra was planning to get married or not, and had even mentioned that her uncle would worry a lot.
When I saw her in person, she seemed ordinary compared to Kim Yu-ra. The one who handed me the ticket beside her was probably her husband.
We proceeded to the bridal waiting room.
We crossed paths with Kim Yu-ra's mother, who was greeting the guests in the main hall lobby.
The moment she saw me, her expression froze... In fact, I had accidentally run into this auntie in 2019.
It hadn't been a good experience. She had openly shown disappointment after learning I was a civil service exam candidate. It had the same characteristics as Kim Yu-ra.
"......" (1 / 107 / 14 years 1 month ago)
It didn't seem like she had been sexually aroused.
Her relationship with her daughter was completely different in terms of sexual trajectory. Instead, the auntie had probably been extremely sexless from a young age.
Whether she was worried that I might cause a scene, her eyes were wide with tension, wrinkles forming on her forehead. She seemed as if she wanted to say something to me, but I just slightly lowered my head and headed to the bridal waiting room.
It was the only chance I would have to meet Kim Yu-ra.
At least, the only chance to meet her while she was in a rational state.
"Your husband is a doctor, right? You could introduce me, right?" (1 / 109 / 9 months ago)
"But when I looked, Yu-ra's expression was a bit..." (11 / 480 / 15 hours ago)
"Eh? Sung-hyun senior." (2 / 6 / 2 years 8 months ago)
Kim Yu-ra's colleagues as they were leaving the bridal waiting room.
They also seemed to recognize me and stopped for a moment, glancing my way, but I ignored them and waited my turn.
The bridal waiting room on the day of the wedding was essentially a photo booth.
Taking photos, giving a short greeting, and cutting it into a 40-second clip was the rule.
Still, it was fine. There was no reason to look at it for long.
"Photos are ready. Please come in, next person."
The wedding hall staff handling the line guidance.
Finally, I could face Kim Yu-ra.
She looked... like any nervous bride waiting for the ceremony. A-line dress with bare shoulders, voluminous skirt flowing under the velvet sofa, delicate tiara perched on her updo hair, long train.
And when she saw me, her face straightened in disapproval.
"Adjust the pose. I'm tired."
"Miss Bride...? Ah, yes! I'll give you two minutes to rest."
Kim Yu-ra had clearly expected me to show up.
She gave a playful wink to the staff member who stepped back, then naturally adjusted her pose while fixing her veil...
While I pretended to wait, I stood right beside her.
Even in the middle of this, my gaze was fixed on the ivory-colored number floating above her head.
The allotted time was two minutes.
Kim Yu-ra glanced sideways and said in a low voice.
"Now your stomach feels lighter?"
"......"
"You got a special promotion for your clean record. Your salary must have increased a lot. Fifty thousand... or maybe one hundred thousand? But how can your promotion reason be a clean record? How many years have you lived without any presence in Annam City."
She started pouring venom, her eyes narrowing.
I simply... let it go.
I hadn't ignored her because I didn't know what she was going through.
A moment later, I knew what Kim Yu-ra would face, so I hadn't dismissed her without reason.
I was just busy interpreting the number floating above her white tiara.
"Do you think I'm laughing at you right now?" (7 / 1,087 / 5 years 7 months ago)
Seven. 1,087.
This was roughly the range I had guessed even when I lost my ability at the time.
Boyfriends including me: three. The remaining four were one-night stands (two students, one club guy, one medical student). The count per partner was overwhelming, but that was because Kim Yu-ra had a multi-round style. She couldn't satisfy herself with less than two rounds no matter how rushed.
What was engraved in my eyes was the time since her most recent experience.
Five years and seven months ago.
'She really endured it.'
A strategic abstinence hint for her upward marriage strategy was visible.
From right after graduation until now, she had gone all in just for marriage...
Even though her relationship with Yeryang had reached this point, the reason she couldn't let go of the wedding might be exactly this. Because she had given up too much in the meantime.
And she had invested too much.
I had seen the numbers, but the emptiness still lingered.
"You'll live well, as I said." (7 / 1,087 / 5 years 7 months ago)
It was the limit of my ability.
Everything was only shown in minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, and years. This alone was useful, but it had limitations in front of humans with excessively long sexual dry spells.
I couldn't pinpoint the exact day Kim Yu-ra and Lee Do-hyun, the secretary of Hope Church's youth division and a third-year medical student, had slept together. Even a week before I caught them, I had been with her.
This wasn't enough to check if she had cheated during our relationship.
It would be better if it showed more detail...
Normally I just observed and interpreted as is, but today it left me disappointed.
There was nothing I could do about it. I had adjusted my pose while thinking about taking photos and enjoying the wedding.
"Miss Bride?"
"Yes. Take the photo." (7 / 1,087 / □■■■□■)
The number flashed red, then soon blurred as if the blocks were shattering.
And then it quietly reconstructed.
(7 / 1,087 / 5 years 7 months 2 weeks 5 days 16 hours 21 minutes ago)
It was the moment my ability had entered a new level.
The number overlapping five years and seven months later was flickering as if it would disappear any second, but it was fine.
I didn't know why it had evolved or what the reason was, but it didn't matter.
"...On February 10, 2020, a Monday, after the youth division ranch meeting ended, it was with Lee Do-hyun. Worship team practice probably had a lot of eyes on it."
"Eh?" (7 / 1,087 / 5 years 7 months 2 weeks 5 days 16 hours 21 minutes ago)
"Photos are ready~ Please exit."
My goal was achieved.
Kim Yu-ra, who had cheated on me and got caught, the bus driver son's son, giving a guilt-trip, and notifying the breakup... that line had come to mind occasionally even after that. There was a 1 percent chance I had really misunderstood her.
This time, that frustration was finally resolved. Honestly, I was glad.
"Congratulations on your marriage."
There was no need to take separate revenge for the affair she had cheated on five years and seven months ago.
Kim Yu-ra had given me the lesson that you can't suck a slut dry and had evolved my ambiguous ability even further this time.
"After this, the wedding will begin. Please take your seats, guests."
Moreover, I already knew what would happen at the wedding. That was enough.
****
The ceremony began.
It was a flashy but typical secular-Christian hybrid marriage.
Introduction of the couple.
The groom and bride entered.
And the opening prayer.
"Today, we give thanks that Kim Yu-ra and Jung Jae-ho have made a holy covenant before the Lord and will form a new family. May the Lord Himself bless this family He has established, and grant them to become a loving, serving, and united couple. Amen."
The officiating pastor was the youth division leader who had conducted the virginity pledge ceremony for Jung Jae-ho and Kim Yu-ra.
Partner count: 1... It seemed like a good marriage.
Perhaps Jung Jae-ho was the main character of the life he had desperately longed for.
"......" (0 / 0 / -)
"......" (7 / 1,087 / 5 years 7 months ago)
In the midst of the couple with opposing numbers standing rigidly, the sermon continued.
The title was 'The Family Built Upon Purity and Dedication'.
"...God is pleased with a couple keeping purity before becoming husband and wife. The groom and bride in front of us have kept a holy faith by cherishing and respecting each other through countless temptations and trials. What we must remember is that love is not an emotion or desire, but a holy choice."
"......" (0 / 0 / -)
"The two showed an example of faith." (1 / 394 / 19 hours ago)
The officiant looked at the groom and bride with a satisfied expression.
Every time he mentioned the word purity or virginity, he glanced at Jung Jae-ho and Kim Yu-ra.
He either thought that they had to do this for Jung Jae-ho to feel even more fulfilled... or perhaps he was celebrating the completion of his long religious journey. As a pastor who had watched Jung Jae-ho for a long time, he had probably performed the ring exchange ceremony.
"We earnestly pray that the Lord will bless their family, and use them as a precious example in the church and the world."
The sermon also ended. It was getting closer.
I briefly looked away from the backs of the groom and bride and scanned the interior of the banquet hall.
Six hundred guests.
On the groom's side: members of Hope Church in Gangnam.
On the bride's side: members of Suwon Bupyeop Church.
Since Jung Jae-ho's father was a church elder, a number of elders were also present. Lawyers, businesspeople... naturally, because it was a medical family, doctors were bustling. Until now, all of them had been watching the wedding with solemn faces.
The order of the marriage vows began.
It was from this point that an odd atmosphere began to feel.
"Groom Jung Jae-ho. Do you promise to love and respect the bride Kim Yu-ra, and to take her as your lifelong companion and protect her until the end?"
The officiant's question. Jung Jae-ho did not answer.
"Groom Jung Jae-ho?"
"Come on, groom, you can be nervous. Take it slow. That's fine."
"Hyung Jae-ho... why are you doing this."
Five seconds, ten seconds... as the groom's silence stretched longer, the guest seats began to stir restlessly.
Coughs erupted from all over, and relatives from both sides stood up one by one, pushing their chairs back.
The commotion from the control booth at the back of the banquet hall was at that moment.
After the vows, you say, that is the groom's cousin, right? What is he turning on now?
After a short quarrel, a screen descended from the ceiling.
The guests, wondering what it was, stood up one by one, and Kim Yu-ra, as if she had sensed something, tightly grabbed Jung Jae-ho's arm.
But we couldn't stop the transmission.
Kim Yu-ra's voice began to flow through the speakers. It wasn't because of my shadow on my collar, but because I had been swept up in the atmosphere and couldn't help it...
The conversation recorded yesterday. But no one was listening.
Everyone was just staring at the video being transmitted on the screen.
"Turn it off!! Turn it off right now!!!" (7 / 1,087 / 5 years 7 months ago)
In the video, Kim Yu-ra as a university second-year was vigorously sucking a dildo.
Really vigorously.
---
The video showed Kim Yu-ra from university days aggressively performing oral sex on a dildo.
The scene was captured in high definition, every detail clear as day.
Her mouth stretched wide around the thick shaft, saliva dripping down her chin in long strings.
Her eyes were half-closed in ecstasy, lashes fluttering rapidly as she bobbed her head up and down.
The camera caught every wet, obscene sound, every glance she shot at the lens.
Kim Yu-ra looked exactly as she did now, but the numbers above her head glowed with unmistakable numbers.
Seven partners, 1,087 experiences, five years and seven months since her last.
She had been so desperate for attention, so hungry for validation, that she had turned to this.
Her body moved with practiced rhythm, hips grinding against the dildo as if it were a real man.
Her chest heaved, breasts straining against her shirt, nipples hard and visible through the fabric.
She moaned loudly into the microphone, voice breaking with each thrust of her head.
"Ah... ahhn... more... give me more..."
The room was filled with the wet, rhythmic sounds of her throat working the toy.
She looked straight into the camera, eyes glazed with lust, and smiled.
"Look at me, senior. Look how good I am at this."
Kim Yu-ra's voice echoed through the speakers, dripping with venom and mockery.
"This is what you've been missing, isn't it? All this time, I was waiting for you to see it."
She pulled the dildo out just long enough to speak, strings of saliva connecting her lips to the tip.
Then she plunged back down, faster this time, deeper.
Her tongue swirled around the head, lips sealing tight around the shaft.
The camera zoomed in on her face, capturing every contorted expression of pleasure.
Her cheeks hollowed, eyes rolling back, tears of effort or ecstasy streaking down her temples.
She was a mess, completely lost in the act, her free hand frantically rubbing herself through her clothes.
"Seven... 1,087... five years... seven months..."
The numbers flashed on screen, glowing brighter with each thrust.
Kim Yu-ra's voice grew louder, almost chanting the numbers as she climaxed.
"I did it for you... I did it for you, senior!"
The video ended with her pulling the dildo out and holding it up to the camera, covered in her saliva.
She licked it slowly, smiling seductively.
"Clean it up. Or don't. I don't care anymore."
The screen froze on her face, eyes locked on the lens, a promise of more to come.
The entire hall was silent now.
Only the faint echo of her voice lingered.
Every guest stared at the screen, faces pale with shock and disgust.
Kim Yu-ra stood frozen beside Jung Jae-ho, her hand still gripping his arm tightly.
Her face was pale, lips pressed into a thin line.
Her eyes darted around the room, landing on me for a brief second.
But she didn't look away.
Instead, she gave a small, defiant smile.
"Now you know,"
she whispered, so low that only I could hear.
"You know everything."
The officiant cleared his throat, looking uncomfortable.
"Um... shall we... continue?"
Kim Yu-ra's fiancé stepped forward, face red with anger and shame.
He didn't say anything, just stared at the screen.
His hands were clenched into fists at his sides.
The guests murmured among themselves, some already standing up to leave.
Others stayed, eyes wide with gossip.
The church elders whispered to each other, faces grim.
Kim Yu-ra's mother stood at the back, her face ashen.
Her eyes were filled with a mix of fear and resignation.
She looked at me once more, as if asking for something.
But I only nodded slightly.
The officiant tried again, voice trembling.
"Groom, please... answer the question."
Still no answer from Jung Jae-ho.
His silence was deafening.
The screen stayed frozen, Kim Yu-ra's face staring back at everyone.
Her smile was gone now, replaced by a look of pure venom.
"You think this changes anything?"
she seemed to say.
"You already knew."
The air in the hall was thick with tension.
Guests shifted in their seats, some laughing nervously, others crying.
Kim Yu-ra's fiancé finally spoke, voice hoarse.
"This... this is not happening."
He turned to the officiant.
"Call the police."
But the officiant just shook his head.
"I can't do that."
He looked at the screen again.
"What do you want to do?"
Kim Yu-ra's voice came through the speakers one last time.
"Leave. Leave now."
She stepped forward, tiara slightly crooked, long train dragging on the floor.
Her dress fluttered as she moved.
Her eyes were fixed on me.
"You saw it all."
"Yes."
I said simply.
"And it changed nothing."
She smiled again, but this time it was sad.
"Of course it did."
She turned to Jung Jae-ho.
"Jae-ho."
He didn't look at her.
His eyes were on the screen.
"Let's go."
Kim Yu-ra took his arm again, but he pulled away.
"No."
"What?"
"I can't marry you now."
"You promised."
"I was a fool."
She laughed bitterly.
"A fool who saw everything."
She looked at me again.
"Thank you."
"For what?"
"For showing me the truth."
She walked away, long train trailing behind her like a shadow.
Guests parted for her, whispering.
"That's her."
"The one who cheated."
"The numbers..."
Some pulled out phones, recording the scene.
"I can't believe this is real."
Kim Yu-ra's mother stood still, tears in her eyes.
She looked at me one last time.
"Sung-hyun-ah."
"Auntie."
"Take care."
She nodded and left.
The officiant tried to wrap things up, voice shaky.
"This... this has been a mistake."
"Perhaps we should end the ceremony here."
"No,"
I said.
"Keep going."
The officiant looked at me, surprised.
"But..."
"I know."
"I know everything."
He hesitated, then continued.
"Groom Jung Jae-ho."
"Will you love and respect your bride?"
Still no answer.
The screen flickered, showing Kim Yu-ra's face again.
This time, she was not smiling.
Her eyes were filled with regret.
"I'm sorry,"
she whispered.
"For everything."
The hall was silent now.
Only the faint sound of the screen's hum remained.
Guests sat back down, some still staring at the frozen image.
Kim Yu-ra's fiancé finally stepped forward.
"I... I can't."
He looked at me.
"You did this."
"No,"
I said.
"She did."
"You knew."
"I didn't want to believe it."
He shook his head.
"I was blind."
"Love makes you blind."
Kim Yu-ra turned back, long train swirling around her feet.
"Jae-ho."
"Let's leave."
"No."
"You promised."
"I lied."
"I never lied."
"You did."
"I saw you."
"With that girl."
"The one from the club."
"I know."
"I always knew."
Her voice cracked.
"You knew the whole time."
"And you didn't care."
"I cared."
"But not enough."
She smiled sadly.
"Now you know."
"Yes."
"And it changes nothing."
"It changes everything."
She looked at Jung Jae-ho.
"We can't do this."
"I know."
"Let's go."
He didn't move.
"I can't."
"You promised."
"I know."
"But I can't."
Kim Yu-ra stepped closer.
"Jae-ho."
"Please."
He looked at her, eyes wet.
"I can't."
"Why?"
"Because I love you."
"But I don't trust you."
"I lied."
"I know."
"I'm sorry."
"I know."
"But I can't marry you."
"Not now."
"Not ever."
Kim Yu-ra turned to the guests.
"I'm sorry."
"For everything."
She looked at me again.
"Thank you."
"For showing me."
"I didn't want to."
"But I did."
She walked out, head high, long train dragging.
Guests whispered as she left.
"The numbers."
"Seven."
"1,087."
"Five years."
"Seven months."
The screen went dark.
The officiant cleared his throat.
"This... this has been a difficult moment."
"Perhaps we should continue."
"No."
"Let's stop."
"But the vows."
"They are broken."
"Yes."
"They are."
The guests stood up, murmuring.
"This is over."
"Let's go."
Kim Yu-ra's fiancé looked at me.
"You did this."
"No."
"You knew."
"I didn't want to."
"But I did."
He shook his head.
"I can't forgive this."
"I know."
"But I can't marry her."
"Not now."
"Not ever."
Kim Yu-ra turned back.
"Jae-ho."
"I'm sorry."
"I know."
"But I can't."
He looked at her, eyes filled with pain.
"I love you."
"But I don't trust you."
"I lied."
"I know."
"I'm sorry."
"But I can't."
Kim Yu-ra stepped closer.
"Jae-ho."
"Please."
He looked at her, eyes wet.
"I can't."
"Why?"
"Because I love you."
"But I don't trust you."
"I lied."
"I know."
"I'm sorry."
"But I can't."
Kim Yu-ra turned to the guests.
"I'm sorry."
"For everything."
She looked at me again.
"Thank you."
"For showing me."
"I didn't want to."
"But I did."
She walked out, head high, long train dragging.
Guests whispered as she left.
"The numbers."
"Seven."
"1,087."
"Five years."
"Seven months."
The screen went dark.
The officiant cleared his throat.
"This... this has been a difficult moment."
"Perhaps we should continue."
"No."
"Let's stop."
"
