This Is Peak Lucky Pervert Behavior
I let out a sharp breath. “Hah, no…!”
She flailed her hand and shoved my chest with surprising force. It was just a push, but I couldn’t even make a sound before I was sent flying through the air.
My back slammed into the corner wall with a loud thud. The impact knocked the breath out of me. I could feel two of my ribs had snapped, and I kept coughing violently.
“Cough, cough!”
Even as my waist felt like it was about to break from the pain, I forced my vision to focus and looked ahead.
Kim Soyeon was sitting on the bed, breathing hard, glaring at me with sharp eyes.
“You…”
For a moment, anger surged through me and I tried to shout. What the hell was that for?
But the wave of pain that followed stopped me from raising my voice. She didn’t even seem to realize what she had done.
Her face was a mess of shame and fury as she stared at me. Then she yanked the blanket over herself, wrapping her body tightly.
Who exactly was the victim here?
She curled up like she was the one who’d been wronged. I was so dumbfounded that I clenched my teeth and tried to push myself up. That was when it happened.
“Whine, whimper.”
There was a small wriggling movement under the blanket. Squirm, squirm.
Neukgu must have felt cramped. His tail wagged as he burrowed back into Kim Soyeon’s arms. And he did it like he was completely used to it.
“…Huh?”
Whatever was happening under the blanket made Kim Soyeon flinch hard. Her shoulders jerked, then froze solid.
…Oh no. Don’t tell me.
Every time Neukgu kept squirming under the covers, Kim Soyeon’s body twitched in response. I didn’t even need her to explain. I already knew.
She’d shown me yesterday, after all.
Her expression said it all. Something’s wrong. Something is definitely wrong.
Then, at that exact moment—
Snap.
There was the sound of something being yanked free.
“W-wait a second!”
Kim Soyeon panicked and kicked the blanket away in one swift motion. Her eyes were wide open as she stared down at her own chest. The look on her face was pure bewilderment.
What the hell did he do?
And the one who emerged from the blanket, whimpering, had something clenched in his mouth.
“…Neukgu, you little…”
Hadn’t the gallery said something about him? That Neukgu might actually be a spiritual beast?
I’d brushed it off as nonsense at the time, but…
Watching him proudly holding someone’s underwear in his mouth, I had no choice but to nod in agreement. Yeah, he might really be one.
Neukgu looked up at me with bright, innocent eyes and wagged his tail furiously. Like he was asking, “Did I do good?”
Kim Soyeon’s lips trembled violently.
Then, in a voice barely above a whisper, she muttered as if she couldn’t believe it.
“No way…”
Her eyes shook like they were in an earthquake. Finally realizing what had happened, she looked at Neukgu, covered her mouth with both hands, and couldn’t hide her shock.
Watching her mind battle between cognitive dissonance and reason, I couldn’t help but laugh—which immediately turned into another coughing fit.
“Cough, ugh…! Cough!”
It hurt. Every breath sent sharp pain through my broken ribs. But even through that agony, helpless laughter kept spilling out of me.
“Heh… heh heh, hahaha…!”
All the absurdity and laughter I’d been holding back finally exploded.
She’d fallen asleep in my bed without permission, misunderstood everything, and then literally launched me across the room. Seeing her completely stunned face like that—how could I not laugh?
I clutched my chest and laughed like a madman. Kim Soyeon turned to me with a flustered expression.
“W-why are you laughing like that…?”
Her face was flushed bright red as she stammered the question.
Why was I laughing? Even as I tried to answer, I was still laughing so hard that tears leaked from my eyes and I gasped for breath.
After laughing for what felt like forever, I finally calmed down enough to speak.
“Come on, isn’t it obvious?”
“……What is?”
“You fell asleep in my bed without asking, misunderstood the situation, and then beat the crap out of me.”
I summarized it as simply and clearly as possible.
It was all a misunderstanding.
I hadn’t laid a single finger on her.
Kim Soyeon still didn’t seem to understand. She tilted her head slightly and opened her mouth.
“Huh? What do you m—”
She had literally just seen what Neukgu did, yet she still hadn’t caught on. Seeing that utterly clueless reaction, I couldn’t hold back my laughter anymore.
“You’re seriously not laughing? Ahahaha! Cough—ow, ow ow…”
Every time I laughed, the broken ribs stabbed into my lungs and I let out a groan of pain.
“Just tell me what you mean already…!”
“When I got home, you were cuddling Neukgu and sleeping. By the time I came to my senses, you had already taken your clothes off.”
“…Huh?”
“It wasn’t exactly a situation where I could touch you. And I was tired, so I just left you alone and went to sleep. That’s it.”
“……”
“And if you’re about to ask why I didn’t just sleep somewhere else, don’t even start. This is my house.”
Only then did it seem to click. Kim Soyeon started panicking, flailing around in confusion.
She finally realized what she had done. What might have happened during the night.
“…H-how could I…!”
It was ridiculous. To think I’d hear her say “what do I do” right in front of me.
She couldn’t decide whether to cover herself or run over to check on me. She was completely lost.
Watching her like that made me laugh again—until I coughed up blood.
“Cough, hack…! Haa…”
I wiped the cold sweat from my forehead and muttered.
“This… I think my bones are actually broken…”
“B-bones? An ambulance—no, a healer! I need to call a healer…!”
Her face went deathly pale as she jumped off the bed barefoot and tried to rush toward me. But she froze again, still unable to decide what to do.
I sighed and said, “First, put some clothes on…!”
At my shout, Kim Soyeon stopped in place. She looked down at the blanket, then stammered with her ears burning red.
“O-okay…! S-sorry!”
She started picking up her scattered clothes from the floor. But as she hurriedly tried to pull her t-shirt over her head, she suddenly froze with an awkward expression.
“Ah.”
It was a short exclamation that sounded almost like a groan.
I leaned against the wall, frowning as I stared at her. What now? Why did she stop again?
Before I could ask, Kim Soyeon spoke in a voice so quiet it was like a mosquito buzzing.
“Neukgu… ruined my underwear…”
“…What?”
Only then did I understand the situation. I let out a hollow sigh. This wasn’t exactly something I could help with.
After rustling around under the blanket for a long time, she somehow managed to get dressed. She approached me in an awkward, hunched posture.
She carefully knelt in front of me, kept bowing her head, and poured out apology after apology.
“I’m sorry, I’m really sorry…! I was so startled that I just—”
She sounded like she was about to cry. She was that sorry.
But was being sorry enough? That’s why compensation existed.
I was about to demand some kind of payback when I saw her face and couldn’t say it.
She knew better than anyone how much pain she had caused by unconsciously shoving me away.
Watching Kim Soyeon fidget nervously, only able to read my expression, I felt less anger and more that the whole situation was just hilarious.
I rubbed my throbbing chest and asked quietly.
“Was I that disgusting? Enough to push me that hard?”
I asked it calmly. Was I really that repulsive?
It was just a playful comment meant to lighten the heavy mood.
But it seemed to crush her with even more guilt.
Kim Soyeon waved both hands frantically in denial.
“N-no! It’s not like that at all! Really, I swear… I was just so flustered that my hands moved on their own…!”
Her face was so red it looked like it might explode as she desperately insisted it wasn’t because she hated me.
…Hmm?
Then, with tears welling up in her eyes, she lowered her head again and apologized in that tiny voice.
“…I’m truly sorry. I’ll pay for all the medical bills, and I’ll compensate you for everything… everything.”
She bowed deeply, completely intimidated.
She said she’d compensate me for everything.
I looked down at her quietly. Then I let out a small chuckle and said,
“Everything?”
I had been thinking it was about time to accept her apology and wrap this up. But the way she said “everything” suddenly made me feel playful.
Everything, huh? That word was way too broad.
That was when I realized something.
In a situation like this, even a joke stopped being just a joke.
Kim Soyeon’s pupils were spinning wildly, completely lost. Shame. Guilt.
She swallowed hard, clenched her fists, and suddenly shot up from the floor.
“I-I’ll contact you later…!”
“Huh? Hey, wait—!”
I didn’t even have time to stop her.
The next thing I knew, her choice was to run away. And not through the front door—she opened the veranda window and jumped straight out.
“Are you crazy—!”
Before I could finish, Kim Soyeon had already leaped out. I stared at her retreating figure and let out a hollow laugh.
“Wow… she really does whatever she wants.”
Two hours later.
Thanks to my natural attributes and circulating my cultivation method, the broken bones had mostly settled back into place and the pain had subsided somewhat.
Still feeling restless, I sat on the living room sofa and casually scrolled through the old gallery. That was when—
Ding-dong—
…Who could that be?
The doorbell that shouldn’t be ringing rang again.
Who else could it be? The only person who might come was Kim Soyeon. But she had literally fled through the veranda window, so there was no reason for her to come back.
Maybe it was a cult recruiter or something. With that thought, I walked leisurely to the front door.
When I turned on the intercom screen, just as expected, Kim Soyeon’s face appeared again.
But her appearance was a complete mess.
She was carrying two huge paper bags and several plastic bags stuffed full of who-knows-what. She looked like she was hauling an entire moving truck’s worth of stuff.
What on earth had she brought?
Under the deeply pulled-down cap, her eyes kept darting around anxiously, unsure where to look.
Watching that ridiculous sight through the intercom, I let out a small sigh and muttered,
“If you were going to come back anyway, why the hell did you run away?”
She must have heard me. I saw her shoulders flinch.
