"What a tremendous coincidence. Honestly, people of South Korea, don't you think I deserve a statue in front of Mapo Bridge at this point? I'll be looking forward to it."
[lmaoooooooooo]
[a statue? this lunatic lmaoooo]
[ah lmao the sheer nerve is actually kind of charming lmaooo]
[honestly now that he's acting like this it does feel like it was just a coincidence lmaooo]
[let's go mango statue~~]
[a villain demanding a statue lmao]
[mangostic fans are about to start pooling money any second now lmao]
[I'm already scared]
Hang on, why are you all going nuts over a joke?
You're not actually going to raise money and build a statue, right?
A secret laboratory inside the Han-eun Group Underground Complex.
Walking down a corridor lined with white walls and white floors, I slowly descended deeper while still broadcasting.
The moment I went live, the chat flooded with people asking whether I'd known the Han River Plunge would happen and had destroyed Mapo Bridge in advance as a preventive measure, so I avoided the entire issue with a statue joke. If I said it had been a coincidence, what were they going to do about it?
After hearing my official statement, people gradually started shifting their interest away from the Mapo Bridge incident toward my current whereabouts.
[so where is this?]
[why are all the walls in that hallway so white... is this a psych ward?]
[the lights flickering on and off is creepy as hell, what is this, Silent Hill]
[what's with the bloodstains next to you?]
"Where is this, you ask... ta-da! It's the Han-eun Group Underground Complex. Yes, the very place that spawned this latest horrific disaster."
[????]
[how'd he even get in there lmaooo]
[Hero Association sobbing lmaooo]
[isn't the Association cordoning off the surface? how'd he get inside?]
[looks like he teleported in? lmao]
[but why would he go in there all of a sudden?]
"Why did I come here? Come on, let's be honest with each other. Who's the most influential villain in South Korea? Isn't it me?"
[absolutely shameless lmaooo]
[who says that about himself lmao]
Alright, time to talk some absolute nonsense.
"But here's the thing, right? Where's the professional courtesy? They're down here making biological weapons without even asking permission from their senior in the industry. I found that deeply offensive. So as punishment, I'm going to expose every last one of their dirty secrets. What was that? Confidential? Authorized Personnel Only?"
As I walked down the corridor, I spotted a large "Authorized Personnel Only" sign on the wall and flipped it off.
"No such thing, Han-eun! Your top-secret facility is being livestreamed nationwide!"
I laughed like a maniac as I said it.
A first-rate villain had to know how to laugh maniacally anywhere.
...And honestly, this time it was genuinely funny.
Those Han-eun Group bastards were probably hiding in some miserable hole by now. Imagining them watching this, unable to do anything but shake their fists, made me laugh for real.
While glancing through my mask at the chat window being spammed with [absolute lunatic lmaooo], I made my way farther inside.
A white corridor stretching in every direction.
Something about it felt a little creepy.
The lights also seemed to be failing, alternating between darkness and light and making the place even eerier.
No, wait. This is actually kind of scary.
And it's even scarier because you have no idea when or where a monster might suddenly pop out.
[hold up wtf why is this place so terrifying]
[fr feels like something's about to jump out any second]
[I flinch every time the lights cut out and it goes dark]
[why did the genre suddenly turn into horror?]
[horror game (not) streamer lmaooo]
[hey wait I think I just saw something over there? o.o]
Fuck, don't post things like that. You're scaring me.
It's already dead silent except for my footsteps. This place is scary enough!
But showing fear is the mark of a novice villain.
A top-class villain acts even more brazen in moments like this.
"Don't be afraid, everyone. Whatever jumps out, do you really think it can beat me?"
As I said that, I levitated the guns I'd brought along into the air around me.
Monsters? Tell them to kneel before cold, hard modern firepower.
[in horror movies the guy who says exactly that always dies first o.o]
I ignored the ominous comment.
Don't set up death flags!
***
And so I kept descending deeper and deeper.
The atmosphere, which had been a bit frightening at first, started to lighten little by little as I kept cracking jokes and no monsters actually appeared.
....Wait, why aren't any monsters showing up? They should be appearing by now.
How long had I been walking?
The actual research facilities gradually began to appear.
Desks and computers scattered across the floor.
This must be where they'd conducted their research.
I skimmed through some papers that made absolutely no sense to me, then moved on past them.
Then I reached the area where they had studied and confined strange lifeforms.
Or more accurately, where they had contained them. Everything was smashed now, and not a single one remained. They were probably all wandering around somewhere else in this underground complex.
Glass walls stood in a straight line.
It looked like they'd observed the monsters through reinforced glass, like an aquarium, but now all the glass was shattered.
"Ah, each enclosure has information about its monster."
Sure enough, plaques in front of each glass wall described the monsters.

Beside the text was a photo of the creature.
Whoa... it looked absolutely hideous.
Its entire body was white. It was humanoid, but it had an oversized head with a single huge mouth and hands shaped like massive sickles.
No... that was terrifying.
That meant a thing like this could suddenly appear behind me and bash me over the head, right?
Just then, I felt a sudden presence behind me and spun around.
Fortunately, nothing was there. Whew, that scared me.
[holy shit something that looks like that is roaming around here?]
[Did Mango just get scared and turn around? Cute lol]
[Han-eun Group is seriously messed up though. how were they secretly making stuff like this]
That surprised me too.
Wasn't this supposed to be a superhero world? Why were there monsters?
I continued searching through the labyrinthine research wing.
Shattered enclosures and pictures of monsters scary enough to haunt my dreams.
No.
The more I thought about it, wasn't it actually fortunate that all of that had been exposed because of the disaster Han-eun Group caused?
I couldn't even imagine what these bastards would've created if they'd remained hidden and had been given enough time.
"Ahem. For now, I'll keep heading inside."
I kept descending.
Seriously, why is this place so huge?
They had built some kind of labyrinth beneath Seoul.
The same maddeningly wide white corridors continued.
The number of branching paths grew, until I wasn't sure if I was walking through a maze or what.
Even the chat began lagging as the signal cut out the deeper I went.
"This is making me dizzy..."
As I continued walking...
I heard something from somewhere... a thud-thud-thudding sound.
A sound that was getting closer?
Finally, a monster was coming.
I knew it was strange that I hadn't seen any.
I pulled a sword from my bundle and pointed it toward the corridor where the sound was coming from.
A long blade like something a samurai would use.
Of course, I also kept the guns floating with telekinesis, just in case.
The Original Work had briefly mentioned that these monsters were extremely fragile and could be killed with a single sword strike.
So I shouldn't need the guns. This was the perfect chance to show the viewers my swordsmanship.
"All right! Come at me!"
I'd cut down anything that came at me!
What came charging out of the dark corridor was...
It had a white feline face the size of a human head.
Its centipede-like body was covered in white fur and supported by dozens of legs.
A wide grin took up half its face, packed with sharp teeth!
And it was insanely fast! What are you, a train, you bastard?!
"Kyaaaaaah!"
The sight was so shocking that I couldn't help screaming!
How could something like that exist?! Things like that shouldn't be allowed!
"Fire! Fire!"
Before I could even swing my sword, instinct took over and I fired the guns first!
Bullets sprayed wildly with a deafening ratatatat!
Luckily, once it was hit by the simultaneous fire from multiple guns, the thing went down in seconds.
Then it quickly dissolved into white powder and vanished into thin air.
I finally... finally killed it...
"Huff... huff..."
Ah, shit. I'd meant to use the sword because telekinesis was so exhausting.
I got startled and fired the guns before I even realized it. But seriously, fuck, that thing looked like it belonged in a B-movie horror film.
The viewers looked just as startled as I was.
Any human would have flinched at that appearance and entrance.
[fuck, that jumpscare]
[why does it look so grotesque]
[fr so glad it froze because of buffering, straight-up heart attack material otherwise lmaooo]
[still glad a few bullets were enough to kill it]
[clipped mangostic screaming, thx lmao]
Hmm. I should ask Seo-eun to delete that clip.
Haaah...
I was starting to regret coming down here.
Who was I kidding with this power-up nonsense? I should've stayed home and trained my telekinesis.
But it was too late for regrets. Sunk cost and all that. Now that I'd come this far, come hell or high water, I was taking Behemoth and getting my Black Rocket Punch.
Fired up with renewed resolve, I went deeper and deeper inside.
I was too deep for the stream to continue.
I'd shown them enough, so I cut the feed.
[Nooo, come back~~~~]
The broadcast ended with only the chat window's dying cry left behind.
Only then did it hit me that I was truly alone in this vast place deep underground.
"...."
It's scary!
Still, I walked. Time to sing the national anthem in my head. Until the East Sea's waters and Mount Baekdu are dry and worn away...
As I walked, black slime began appearing here and there from about the halfway point.
Could that be Behemoth's trail?
It probably meant I was nearing the end, right?
How long had I been walking?
I found myself facing yet another maze of branching paths.
Why the hell had they built this place like this?
It was already so dim that I could barely see ahead.
While I wandered wherever my feet took me...
Something began rattling at the side of the corridor.
Fuck, another monster?!
Gripping the sword, I cautiously approached the darkened area.
Suddenly, the lights came on and something jumped out in front of me!
"Aaaagh! Fuck!"
My heart nearly stopped!
Without thinking, I squeezed my eyes shut and swung the sword wildly!
Cry, Hell-Slashing Demon Blade!!!
But my blade only sliced through empty air.
All I heard ahead was a woman yelp, "Eek!"
Wait, a woman?
At the sudden sound of another person's voice, I opened my eyes.
And there in front of me.
"Stardus?"
"Egostic...?"
Stardus stood there, staring at me in confusion.
......Why on earth are you coming out of there, ma'am?
