Blasphemy Against Even the Gods: Goblin Manners Training
The next day, after binge-reading all the gallery posts I hadn't gotten to yet, I got ready to head out.
A shirt, jacket, shoes, and shorts I'd picked up on the way back from selling the Shark Cutter and mana stones. A combo that made it easy to store tools while maximizing mobility. Sure, it left a lot of leg exposed, but whatever—most of my defense came from telekinesis anyway. Full-body armor wasn't my style.
"This body's starting to feel... somewhat familiar..."
It'd been a little over two weeks now. That first day, the short stature had been a real hassle, but now it was just annoying for things like climbing onto chairs. The disconnect had mostly faded. Was it really okay for a total alpha male like me to adapt so well to an elementary school girl's body? ...Well, what choice did I have? If I couldn't go back, I'd just have to adapt properly.
Incheon 2 Tower in old Songdo.
"Hey, kiddo~ Back already? Only been two days."
"Ah, yeah. Hello."
I gave a quick bow to the civil servants at the Awakener Support Office. All familiar faces. Incheon must be seriously short-staffed.
Oh, and I dodged that vicious hand aiming for my head this time too.
Anyway, after the greetings, I headed to the [Sales] counter.
"Five daggers, please. The toughest ones you've got."
"The most expensive? Fifty grand each."
"Ack... Yeah, I'll take 'em."
-2.5 million won.
Weapon restocked. Where'd the money come from after dumping everything into investments? Even though sales were anonymous, the Killer Beetle and entry-type gate hauls had been pretty hefty. Dropping 2.5 million cash didn't hurt at all.
Of course, most of my funds still needed to go into investments, so I'd have to throw more accounts into the psybugi giveaway posts going forward.
"Hm. Not bad."
The design was similar to before, but these monster-themed daggers were even tougher. I turned them over in my hands. Two had gotten wrecked pushing through to the boss in the entry-type gate, so with five new ones, that made eight total. Still felt a bit lacking. Eight? What was that? Lame. With this many under ultra-precise control, I could cut down any average A-rank telekinesis user.
But with a mana vessel this huge, shouldn't it be more special? My mana recovery still couldn't keep up with the vessel size.
The fix was simple.
"Tower 2nd floor, enter."
Time to boost my specs.
The layout of Tower 1st and 2nd floors was similar. Just a shift to a natural environment. Rustling came from the dense underbrush.
And then—
—Kreek!
—Kiriririk!
Goblin cries echoed from all directions. Roughly twenty in total by the sound of it. Hit the max spawn for 2nd floor again.
Just twenty goblins? No big deal, right?
But this was Tower 2nd floor. The proving ground for fresh newbies just awakened, with crap skills and low mana. And they had to face dozens of goblins?
Posts like this were common whenever goblins exceeded ten on 2nd floor. None even mentioned over fifteen. Plenty probably didn't last five minutes. With lives on the line, more enemies was a massive penalty. Newbies were especially weak to coordinated attacks.
But me? Yeah, big bro's got eight flying daggers~
—Rustle!!
The surrounding brush shook all at once. The goblins centering on me charged and leaped.
I could grab one dagger in hand, telekinesis the rest, and go full rampage through them flashy-style... but why bother?
"Kneel."
I spread telekinesis everywhere, slamming the goblins down in unison. How's that? My mana tank, stuffed full from a day of gorging. It still couldn't fill the vessel, but pinning goblins? Not even a dent.
Not crushing the whole area—just pinpointing the goblins.
—Kik, kirik?!
Daggers honed with telekinesis sliced across the prone bastards.
Congratulations!
You cleared Incheon 2 Tower - 2nd Floor with the highest score!
Clear Time: 7 seconds
Clear Score: EX
Against twenty goblins, I shaved eight seconds off my 1st floor time. A record unbreakable even pre-regression.
"Pfft."
Goblins are boring. So boring I wanna die. Kidding. Who do you think I am?
Rewards determined by score!
"Ah."
Reward settlement began.
Irregular Access Detected
Substituting rewards.
2nd floor rewards were way better than 1st. "Pretty juicy, huh?" Normally, mana gains topped out in the double digits, and stones came in grams, not kilos. Thanks to the no-skill limit and my EX clear on twenty goblins.
With such a huge mana tank, it felt more like boosts to recovery rate and density than max mana.
"Total of 2.5 million won~"
After restocking daggers again, I posted on the gallery. With a video clip from my phone.
The reactions were explosive. I'd deliberately shown only a snippet—twenty was too much to reveal yet—but casually dropping goblins like that was unheard of early on, and telekinesis performing this well was pure dynamite.
What? Holding enemies with telekinesis then attacking sounds OP? If you could pull it off.
To restrain foes with telekinesis, you'd need talent like mine; otherwise, you'd waste it blanketing the whole space. And against monsters? Efficiency sucked. Most of the telekinesis touching skin just dissipated against their mana.
What I did? Overcame both issues. Miracle technique.
So...
Not weird to get these reactions. Anyone could see it was impressive skill and achievement.
That said...
That Padak, Blue Eraser. When I asked what he wanted for saving him, I told him not to spill my identity and to play along with my concept. But his acting's way over the top. What does he think my concept even is?
......
Acting, right...?
Anyway.
"Alright, what's next?"
Only one floor per day in the tower. While waiting for tomorrow, I rummaged through my memos for ideas.
"Fuck! Bring out better weapons than that! It's in that drawer over there!"
"Sir, that weapon requires a permit to purchase..."
A loud argument erupted from the Awakener Support counter. My ears perked up as I slowly approached.
