Chapter 1000: 1 Million Views Celebration Q&A
Chapter 1000: 1 Million Views Celebration Q&A [Spoilers]
1. Who does the protagonist marry?
The future is unknown. Truly, nothing has been decided yet.
2. What are the power rankings of the "Golden Generation"?
In terms of pure combat power, 1st place is—as everyone probably expected—Prince Ellen.
2nd place is unexpectedly the Prince of Magic Spammers, Arwen Dale.
In terms of position, he’s the Magic Department’s equivalent to Ellen; if we’re talking about versatility, he’s actually above Ellen.
However, in a 1:1 fight, Ellen tends to have the upper hand.
3rd place is the full-power Fire Spammer.
4th place is the Swordsmanship Department’s punching bag, the Minor Sword Emperor Asran.
5th place is Gerard, the second son of the Border Count, who has had zero presence until now.
He’s similar to the Minor Sword Emperor and even more versatile, but in terms of pure combat power, he feels a bit lacking because he’s a "jack-of-all-trades" build.
6th place is Daisy, who is growing at a frightening pace.
7th place is Boradori, who even got pushed back by Daisy. He could have taken 1st place before Silence, but to reclaim that spot, he’d need to spend at least another 10 years gathering power.
8th place is Lorelaiya.
9th place is Prince Esid. Honestly, a prince doesn't need to be a great fighter, but this is based on the kids' standards. By average standards, he’s plenty strong.
Last place is Hedrick, the "money-only" guy who is destined to become the next guild master of Ilias.
3. Can the protagonist become the strongest in the world by the end?
This also hasn't been decided yet, but it’s not entirely impossible.
However, I don't think he has any intention of doing so, so the probability is very low.
4. Is there a mass release for the 1 million milestone?
No, there isn't.
I heard Novelpia gives you a plaque if you hit 100 million views. I’ll try it if I get that.
5. Can the Fire Spammer’s pure love come true?
Many readers are shouting for a harem, but personally, I’m rooting for the Fire Spammer’s pure love.
6. How strong is the protagonist?
He has almost no rivals among his peers.
And following the "Academy Trope" where professors are weaker than students, there aren't many above him who can challenge him either.
7. Are there plans for an illustration of Silence’s appearance / the Flower Arranging Club President?
The illustrator is currently slacking off, claiming there’s nothing to draw, but I’ll grill them hard.
8. How strong is Daisy currently?
She hasn't reached the level of the male leads yet, but if she maintains her growth rate, she should be able to beat the "Minor-Minor-Minor-Minor-Minor Sword Emperor" by next year.
9. What is Boradori’s ability? Is he just an Empire-made Kingdom secret agent?
First of all, he’s a fellow with a better memory than you’d think.
Even if it was a novel he was hyper-fixated on, he still remembers details about the original work to this day.
Thanks to that, his magical ability is higher than expected. He’s in the upper ranks of the Magic Department and has a lot of knowledge regarding sorcery, so he’s surprisingly useful.
10. Is the Flower Arranging Club President really not the mastermind?
Yes.
11. Are there plans to show the situation from the Flower Arranging Club President’s POV?
I was planning to show what the Flower Arranging Club usually does during the slice-of-life parts later on.
12. Do you plan to rush the illustrator to pump out various illustrations?
We’re in a Discord server with several people, and I’m grilling them so much that "Shut up and bring the illustrations" is practically recognized as a macro.
I say it about 30 to 40 times a day as a baseline.
13. What does that dog you recently got do?
For now, it’s living as nothing more and nothing less than a pet.
It spends all day rolling around, eating, sleeping, and pooping.
14. Are you going to answer all the Q&A questions?
As you can see from the answers above, I’m even answering questions like that.
15. Can I ask a lot of Q&A questions?
Ask before you write them.
16. Illustrator, shake a carrot (signal for help).
The illustrator hasn't been caught. Though they are scheduled to be caught by Gunggeoni (the military) soon.
17. Around which chapter do you plan to end the story?
For now, I told the Novelpia editor that I’d probably write 200 to 300 chapters.
I usually write about that much... so that’s the minimum. It might get longer.
18. How do you feel every time you receive a donation?
It’s the best. It’s always thrilling. Keep those donations coming.
Actually, my PC is 9 years old and the parts are so bad I can't upgrade to Windows 11, so I have to change it before November.
Your donations will be put to good use as funds for my new PC.
19. Are you going to run away before the conclusion?
Even when a publisher told me it would be better to end a story quickly because it was performing poorly on another platform, I wrote 100 more chapters to finish it because I felt quitting then would be a failure.
Even if I ruin a novel and don't even make 10 dollars a chapter, I will write the ending I want to write before finishing.
Ah, of course, finishing while making a lot of money is the best.
20. Do you regret the Q&A because there are too many questions?
If only the reader named Yunahari hadn't asked anything, I don't think I’d be regretting it.
21. How much longer until Prince Ellen can defeat the Sword Emperor?
As of now, he can win right before graduation, just like in the original work. As of now, that is.
22. With her current growth rate, could "Crown Daisy" Daisy take down the Demon King alone?
I think it might be a bit difficult, but the fact that it seems possible is scary.
But why take him down alone? You gotta gang up on him.
23. How old is the self-proclaimed 19-year-old Aeryun really?
You guys treat him like such an old man, but he’s still in his 30s. Still.
24. Do you plan to release Silence’s past as a side story?
No. However, that doesn't mean there won't be a part where his past is revealed.
Though it might just never come out forever.
25. Are there plans for illustrations of the other members of the Golden Generation?
The illustrator hates drawing male characters. It would be best if you grilled them directly.
26. What are the annual salaries of Adam, Lucia, the Captain, and Boradori?
It’s generally not good to reveal someone else’s specific salary.
However, to put it in perspective, it feels like Adam >>>>>>>> Lucia >= Captain >>>> Boradori.
For the record, Boradori, who is at the very bottom, is very satisfied with his salary.
27. Is Boradori’s name really Violet?
That is the name his parents gave him, yes.
28. Is Aeryun married? If so, does he have children?
Yes. The reason he doesn't run away is because of the weight of being a breadwinner.
29. Is an illustration of Aeryun coming out?
Since the illustrator is in charge of the illustrations, I have no authority at all.
If the novel’s description and the illustration differ, I’m at the point where I have to edit the novel while thinking, "What does the official version know?"
Please direct questions about illustrations to the person in charge.
30. Do you plan to make Novel-ticons (emojis)?
I told the PD today that even if I had dropped out of the contest and serialized this as a free novel, I still would have thought about making Novel-ticons.
But looking at the regulations, it’s impossible unless it’s a Plus novel. I almost couldn't make them forever.
By the way, the reason I subscribed to Novelpia was because I wanted to buy the Shop-ticon and Concubine-ticon.
When I asked today, they said it’s a system where the author brings them in for inspection, so I’m currently grilling the illustrator to spit them out.
31. Can you tell us the ages and full names of the characters?
It’s a hassle, so I’ll do it later.
32. What are the protagonist’s parents and older brothers doing after he became a training officer at the royal palace?
They just don't appear much, but it’s constantly mentioned that they are a well-to-do noble family.
That means the parents are hardworking lords, and the other siblings are helping them run the territory diligently.
33. Can we know how many wins and losses Adam has against the "Golden Boy" Ellen so far?
Even they don't know the exact numbers, but if we calculate the win rate, it would probably be around 2.2%.
34. How did Boradori raise Daisy for her to become this strong?
It was nothing special. She learned basic self-defense from the family knight (just a countryside knight level), learned a bit about romance from romance novels...
And she received mental conditioning from Violet, who was grinding his teeth thinking about the Demon King arc, to beat up dangerous people without hesitation.
35. How many times has Lucia had her resignation letter torn up so far?
Do you remember the number of meals you’ve eaten? Just assume an average of twice a week is the baseline.
36. What did Adam and Boradori do in their previous lives before being possessed?
Up until the moment they remember, they were a job seeker and a convenience store part-timer.
37. How do you come up with the characters' names?
I just name them whatever comes to mind. I tend to unify siblings with relatively similar names.
Specifically, the male royalty of Leon have names similar to the Sword Emperor according to the setting.
38. Any plans to add setting art?
I’m pestering the illustrator to bring me anything.
It’s really become a macro; if I type "s" in KakaoTalk, "Give me illustrations" pops up.
39. Are color illustrations coming?
If the illustrator adds color, they’ll be in color. If not, they won't.
40. Is Adam handsome?
The illustrator is trying to draw him handsome for the sake of "narrative probability."
41. You said you were going to change back to your original pen name; what was it?
Actually, I pick pen names very lazily. I just name them after whatever drink I’m having at the time.
So the pen name I originally wanted was "Denmark Drinking Yogurt Zero Apple."
But I hit the character limit, so I deleted "Denmark," and it still didn't work, so I deleted "Drinking" too, and it became "Yogurt Zero Apple."
The pen name I’m trying to change to is from the same drink category; I’m using the nickname "Crushed Pear" (IdH) at the "Yellow House."
A tradition that exists even in Nopia Books...
Murim? When did I write Murim?
Anyway, that’s how it is.
Now that I think about it, I should change it before I go to sleep.
...I’m screwed. My pen name got NTR’d.
42. If the King of Leon and Prince Ellen fought, who would win?
Prince Ellen is still not enough to "pull an Arthas." A Sword Master isn't a joke.
43. Is the Q&A hard because there are so many questions?
If only you weren't here...
44. Do you want to shake a carrot?
Not to that extent.
45. Since it’s a 1 million milestone Q&A, is it better to have over 100 questions?
It’s better than having none.
48. Will you hold a 2 million milestone Q&A?
2 million feels a bit cheap... Maybe I should hit 5 million or 10 million.
So please, make multiple accounts to watch and recruit people around you. I want to make a lot of money.
49. Adam wouldn't have existed in the original work, so who was Prince Ellen’s training officer then?
Several people came and went, and then he was neglected. His study abroad in the Empire in the original work was basically dumping him on the Sword Emperor.
50. How many years have you been friends with the illustrator?
Rather than a friend, they’re a much younger sibling. Roughly speaking, the illustrator is enlisting in the military this September, while I’m going to Civil Defense training the day after tomorrow.
I’ve known them for about 5 to 6 years. Since I knew them during their turbulent teenage years, my hard drive is full of the illustrator’s "dark past."
I can't beat Gunggeoni, so I’ll have to let them go when they’re dragged away, but until then, even if you guys whine for illustrations, it’ll be hard for them to run away.
51. How much funding for a 100-chapter milestone Q&A?
It just needs to be "too much money to refuse." For the record, I’m a bit expensive.
52. Do you plan to work the illustrator even harder?
I am currently grilling them with all my might.
53. Take care of your health. We can't have you fainting and failing to upload chapters anymore.
Even if I can't do 6 or 7 days a week, I will definitely keep to 5 days a week unless I’m hospitalized somewhere.
If I couldn't do this, I wouldn't have become an author.
54. In the original work, what were the Sword Emperor and the Grand Mage, who were professors, doing instead of catching the Demon King?
By that time, according to the laws of RoFan, the Golden Generation is stronger than those two. And yet they still couldn't beat the Demon King...
55. If the Prince and the Sword Saint had a final showdown, who would win?
Who was the Sword Saint again? If you mean the Sword Emperor, the Sword Emperor still wins overwhelmingly.
56. Does a (real) romance for the protagonist exist?
I don't know anything yet.
57. The original work mentioned in the story is a "angst/grimdark" novel; is there a chance the atmosphere will shift to something serious in future developments?
Probably not. Personally, I’m aiming for a novel that you can read lightly on your phone while lying in bed before sleep.
I once saw an author on a "toxic broadcast" say they aim for a "snack bar tteokbokki" style, and I personally felt we share the same direction.
58. Is the Saintess a regressor?
No.
59. Will the day come when Adam defeats the Prince?
Even now, if he keeps trying hard, he wins once in a while.
60. Is a non-canon Adam gender-bend (TS) version possible as a side story?
There’s probably no chance before the conclusion. If I write it in the middle, I feel like the main story will feel like BL, so I probably won't do it.
61. How far can the protagonist grow?
He can reach just below Ellen.
No, he has to.
62. The protagonist’s salary, various allowances, current assets, etc.
It’s vague to express accurately, but it’s overwhelming among people doing similar work.
And stocks... if he did them, his money would have actually decreased!
He has two buildings in the royal capital and bought some land near his hometown, but the most important thing is his connection to the royal family.
(If it weren't for that, it would have been difficult to get buildings in the capital even with money.)
63. Evaluation of the characters.
The question is a bit vague, so I’ll answer appropriately.
Adam - A monster who is good at his job.
Ellen - Talent bordering on a disaster.
Daisy - The Goddess’s proxy.
Violet - Daisy’s friend.
Esid - One who is skilled at hiding himself.
Asran - The Minor Sword Emperor, except when facing Adam and Ellen.
Gerard - The Dragon of the Border.
Hedrick - A cold-blooded calculator.
Lorelaiya - Lady Lorelaiya.
Aeryun - You’re in the same grade as us...?
64. Is marriage or retirement possible for training officers? If so, how?
Retirement isn't entirely impossible, but various conditions are attached.
After retirement, for the sake of both surveillance and guaranteed retirement life, they are sometimes given various "cushy" positions if they wish.
Ex) Academy Vice-Director (nothing to do).
In the case of marriage, the royal family investigates the partner, but they don't interfere if there are no issues.
65. The protagonist’s position within the Kingdom.
In the official sphere, it’s at an ambiguous level. Just the Prince’s childhood friend.
Instead, for those working in the unofficial sphere, he is in a considerably high position. This is true for most training officers.
66. Why is the illustrator living like a slave?
It was back in the early days of the contest. When the AI cover controversy broke out and I was wondering if this was the chance to run away...
Taking advantage of the illustrator’s crazy remark about drawing one illustration a day, I am demanding one illustration a day.
67. How much was the Imperial Intelligence Bureau grilled for failing to prevent the terror attack despite hearing intelligence from a foreign agent, and are they truly incompetent?
If they were incompetent, the Empire wouldn't be able to maintain itself. They’re just being screwed over by the plot for the sake of the RoFan story progression.
As if to prove that, the Intelligence Bureau agents who changed positions are active. The agents who were active outside and came back are being rotated out due to RoFan plot-screwing.
68. Are there cases where a training officer and a royal family member dated or married in the Kingdom?
There are, which is why they pair them up as male-male and female-female.
69. How strong is the Demon King?
He’s a guy with swordsmanship comparable to peak Prince Ellen and magic comparable to the peak Prince of Magic Spammers.
He’s a "full hexagon" guy whose other stats are all just slightly below peak.
70. What did the Goddess see in "Crown Daisy" to tell her to do whatever she wants?
She didn't just kick out all the cockroaches living in her house; she even normalized the continental believers.
71. How much is the difference between the protagonist’s salary and his seniors/juniors, and how much does Boradori get?
He gets slightly more than all the other seniors and juniors combined, excluding Lucia.
Boradori gets less than the lowest-ranking training officer. (It’s about the difference between a regular and non-regular employee.)
72. What is the Kingdom’s main source of income?
They do ordinary trade, of course.
But also the sale of by-products obtained during periodic dungeon subjugations and "Forbidden Zone" cleanups by the Knights Order.
As a bonus, they also get paid to teach swordsmanship. (Like the Academy.)
73. How are training officers recruited?
It’s a recommendation system.
74. Did the protagonist stay at his family home when he was in the Kingdom?
His family home is incredibly far away. The royal family provides all food, clothing, and shelter.
75. Evaluation of the Flower Arranging Club.
Students - Why are those bastards there?
Faculty - Why are those bastards there?
76. Ideal types and tastes of each character.
Adam - ???
Daisy - None yet.
Violet - Let’s think after the RoFan ends.
RoFan Male Leads - Daisy.
77. Can the protagonist report directly to the King or Queen if necessary?
To the King, it’s possible through the Captain, and to the Queen, a direct report is possible.
78. The royal family’s perception of training officers, and the commoners’ perception.
Except for the King, they don't know unless it’s a special situation. Same for the commoners.
Therefore, just the royal family’s childhood friends.
79. How does the technology in this world compare to reality?
It’s whatever the original author wants, so it’s a mix of everything.
80. Do the Shadows become friends or date each other?
If you mean the "Flower Arranging Club" (tentative name), it’s very difficult. If people full of core national secrets start dating, the country will send assassins.
81. How many Sword Master-level powerhouses are there in the world?
There are quite a few. Not all Sword Masters are treated the same.
82. Does Daisy eat "Crown Daisy" (ssukgat), or does she even grow the flowers?
She doesn't eat it, but she grows a few pots in her room.
