63. Unique Ability (4)
63. Unique Ability (4)
Another peaceful day in this otherworld.
I kept igniting fire right in front of my eyes.
Pabat. Pabat.
It's fascinating.
Even though I have no talent for magic, an ability that looks just like magic is appearing from my hand.
Every time I use this, the human who possesses this unique talent feels extreme pain.
On top of that, since I'm kneading their brain with a crude Creature, they're going to feel even worse pain than Amber does. But that doesn't really matter.
I don't care if that human feels severe stress from the pain of their mind collapsing. It's not like they're pregnant anyway.
As long as they don't die, it's fine.
Hive Mind.
I'm amazing for coming up with the idea of forcibly inserting the Unique Ability engraved on the soul into the Hive Mind to use a human's Unique Ability.
I didn't use a Centipede Creature like I did with Amber.
I just simply eroded the human's brain.
This is a completely different type from Amber or Albert.
Think of the Creature settled in Amber's brain as a very detailed, tiny chip.
It maintains Amber's spirit and consciousness entirely, and if the Creature isn't moving, she can have free will and live normally.
But what I used on the human with the fire-igniting Unique Ability is like a crude, mindless machine.
The brain of the fire-ability human is already quite damaged. Just think of it as them literally just clinging to life.
The Creature encroaching on Amber's brain can be removed and she can still live normally, but that's impossible for the fire-ability human.
To put it simply, it's easier to think of it as a coma state.
This can't be helped.
It's to use the human's Unique Ability without consuming large resources.
To use a Unique Ability without affecting the human brain, you need a very detailed and precise Creature. And such Creatures consume quite a lot of resources.
The Centipede Creature I used on Amber is exactly that.
If you measure the Centipede Creature in terms of Ners as currency, it requires resources equivalent to about 1,000 Ners.
That's why I won't use a Centipede Creature unless it's a very special human.
It's easier just to kill them.
Since I only need to use the Unique Ability anyway, I don't care if the human's brain is ruined.
I just need to make sure they don't die for the rest of their life.
It takes huge resources to revive the dead, but keeping them from dying doesn't cost that much.
For now, I only have one cute Unique Ability that creates a fire about the size of a small lighter.
From now on, I'm going to keep filling up on cool, fun, and flashy Unique Abilities. And I'm going to study magic hard, too.
If I've come to another world, I at least want to try fighting in style.
Fighting with my whole body turning into a monster isn't human; it's just a Monster. A Monster.
I have no talent for magic, but I intend to work steadily until I can fight like a human.
I remembered what Yui, the only mage in our Colony, said while teaching me magic.
'Looking at Lea-nim, it's like a newborn baby playing with a matchlock—no, a cannon.'
That's what she said.
And when I fired a Magic Arrow for the first time:
'The amount of Mana you just used is the total Mana amount of an average mage. In other words, your Mana efficiency is absolute trash. It's probably because Lea-nim's body hasn't been exposed to Mana for very long.'
Since neither my body nor my mind is connected to Mana, my talent for handling Mana was beyond nonexistent; it was disastrous.
But even if I have no talent, my lifespan is very long, so couldn't I eventually use magic on the level of an average mage?
I was walking while practicing what I'd learned from Yui to improve Mana efficiency when I stopped in my tracks because of a man who suddenly appeared in front of me.
"To think someone from an orphanage has looks like this."
The man reached out toward me, and in an instant, my vision turned black.
He raised his hand and touched my head.
Something like a bandage wrapped around my entire head like a mummy.
"Top-grade merchandise. This will fetch a good price, right?"
The man put me into something like a sack with a joyful voice.
==
"Hey, just prep this bitch's lower half and bring her. She's from an orphanage, so she'll be dirty. Got it?"
"Ye-yes...!"
Kkiik— Bang!
Not long after being kidnapped in the sack, I arrived somewhere.
The man left me on the floor, talked to some woman, and then disappeared.
When someone untied the sack I was in, I frowned at the strong scent that wafted in.
"Pr-pretty..."
The sack was opened, and there was a female human in front of me.
She looked to be about 20 years old.
I wouldn't say she was incredibly beautiful, but she was pretty enough to be considered on the pretty side.
However, her current appearance looked somewhat like a prostitute.
Despite just becoming an adult, she wore flashy clothes. But they weren't clean clothes; if you looked closely, they looked old and worn out.
The accessories also looked flashy, but none of them looked to be in good condition.
In short, is this a place that exploits women as sex slaves?
I'm not in a good mood.
Since I still have the memories and mind from when I was a man, I don't like this kind of crime.
It feels like future food supplies are being defiled by other humans.
"Ah, I'm sorry. You don't understand the current situation, right...? Ugh... Explaining this is always scary..."
I ignored the female human in front of me and looked around.
A fairly large room.
Similar to the Orphanage, bunk beds were lined up in a row, and it seemed all those women had been kidnapped and were being exploited here.
"Th-take it easy and listen...? Do you happen to know how you got here...? H-hey?"
"Ah, sorry. I understand the situation. What do I need to do?"
"Eh?"
==
"She's more composed than I thought? Well, who would want to hold a dirty woman anyway."
Adelaide, who acted as a leader-not-leader here, was dumbfounded by the appearance of Lea next to her.
The women who always came here would cry and wail, looking for their parents.
Adelaide's role was to soothe such women.
But Lea didn't need that.
'Looking at the clothes she's wearing, she looks like a child from an orphanage... How is she so calm?'
Lea was disguised as a child living in an orphanage in her current young form.
So she was wearing clothes usually worn at the orphanage.
"Do you have a Unique Ability?"
"Y-you?"
"Ah, should I call you unni? Unni, do you have a Unique Ability?"
"I have a Unique Ability... a trashy ability, that is."
"What kind of ability is it?"
"It's an ability where a scent comes from my body... because of this one thing, I'm here right now..."
"That really is a trashy ability."
"Huh..."
Adelaide was flustered by Lea's words, saying it was trash without a care.
"Hmm... I wonder if the taste changes depending on whether she's a virgin or not... I don't know about children, but in Amber's case, would she care? If it's a human who has had male semen on them, I feel like I might feel a bit of disgust..."
Thinking Lea was a mentally ill child because she was muttering to herself, Adelaide decided she should wash Lea before the man came, so she grabbed Lea's hand.
"Don't touch me with your dirty hands."
Lea swatted Adelaide's hand away very lightly.
"D-dirty hands!!! I'm not dirty—!"
Adelaide shouted, but she knew that in her current situation, the word 'dirty' wasn't wrong.
But she couldn't help it.
To survive, she had no choice.
She had to listen to them. If she resisted, she would receive terrible punishment.
Of course, the reason Lea said 'dirty' wasn't to express that Adelaide was dirty because she worked as a sex slave, but only to mean that she was a human.
"I don't need humans who defile my future food."
Ignoring Adelaide, who was angry and then sad about her own misery, Lea only had thoughts about food.
Bang!!!
"Hey!!! Why are you so late!? Is it that hard to just wash the genitals!?"
"Eek...! Oh, no—"
Adelaide trembled, clasping her hands together at the rough and heavy footsteps.
Lea turned around and looked at the human who had kidnapped her.
"Was wrapping bandages on my face your Unique Ability...?"
"Hah... You were quiet when I kidnapped you, so I thought you had mental problems, but to think you were actually a crazy bitch. I don't like it when bitches like this moan."
The man grabbed Lea's neck tightly and walked to his room.
Watching Lea, Adelaide collapsed, her legs giving out just by thinking of the terrible things Lea was about to endure.
The man threw Lea onto the bed as soon as he arrived at his room.
As he walked to the bed, taking off his clothes, he realized something was strange.
"Was the room this dark—"
The moment the man raised his head to check the Magic Tool lamp on the ceiling, he couldn't say anything.
"Wh-what is th-th-this."
It wasn't at the level of a chandelier, but the fairly beautiful Magic Tool was gone.
The pure white ceiling wasn't visible either.
There was only a black ceiling.
The problem was that on that black ceiling, countless eyes and countless sharp teeth were chattering and glaring at him.
The Mimic Creature was in a very, very bad mood right now.
It was only because Lea had ordered it to stay still because she found the current situation fun; otherwise, the Mimic Creature would have wanted to tear apart the hands of the dirty human who kidnapped its Queen, Lea, and touched her body right now.
However, Lea had now discovered how to use Unique Abilities herself. Or rather, she created it.
Lea, who had desires and fantasies about otherworlds and Status Windows back when she was a man on Earth.
Since she was taking steps forward in obtaining a Status Window, Lea was in a better mood than ever since coming to this otherworld.
So she was just thinking of the current situation as an event.
"Eek—!"
The moment the man turned his body to move and leave the room.
Bang!
He tripped over the pants that were caught around his ankles, which he had taken off to rape Lea, and fell to the floor.
"Hi, hiiiiik—! Sa-save me—"
Thump.
The Mimic Creature restrained the man's limbs and gagged him.
Lea got up from the bed and approached the man.
"What kind of Unique Ability do you have? Is it just the ability to make bandages? Or is that magic? I still can't distinguish between magic and Unique Abilities, you see."
Lea smiled until her mouth tore up to her ears, thinned her hand, and grabbed his brain through his ears, nose, and mouth.

Amber felt that something was strange because Lea wasn't returning to the Orphanage easily.
Furthermore, even when she spoke through the Hive Mind, there was no response, as if she were engrossed in something.
It wasn't that something had happened to Lea. If that were the case, the Hive Mind would have disappeared from the start, and the Mimic Creature she was wearing right now would have gone on a rampage.
'Could it be that she's in a situation so dangerous that she can't use the Hive Mind...!?'
Amber jumped up and then sat back down.
'Nah... No way that's it.'
Amber, who had momentarily thought of worrying because Lea's recent appearance was that of a young child, realized how foolish her thoughts were.
Lea getting into danger? That makes no sense.
The day Lea gets into danger is the day this world is destroyed.
Even though Amber had become a Creature, she hoped this world wouldn't be destroyed.
'Please, I hope there are no humans doing strange things to Lea-nim.'
