I Became the Only Male Character in the Gacha Game
I became the only male character in the gacha game.
And then the community forum from the game I possessed appeared right before my eyes.
You have possessed the game Last Shion.
The in-game Community is now accessible.
Future knowledge, strategy guides, and hidden information can be obtained through the Community.
I stared blankly at the blue window floating in the air.
…What the hell is this?
My head was spinning. Just a moment ago, I had been lying in my room, half-asleep while scrolling through the Community gallery on my phone. Now I was standing in the middle of a completely unfamiliar street.
Neon signs flickered everywhere. Flying cars zipped between towering skyscrapers that pierced the clouds. Strange monsters that looked like they’d crawled out of a nightmare roamed the alleys, and people in sleek combat suits were hunting them down.
This was unmistakably the world of Last Shion.
A dimensional convergence city where magic, science, and martial arts collided. A place infested with gates, monsters, and urban legends that could kill you if you weren’t careful.
And I had become a character inside that game.
But not just any character.
The only male character in a game famous for its all-female cast.
I let out a dry laugh as the memories of those old community posts flashed through my mind.
In Last Shion, the male character I had become was nothing more than a throwaway. A pitiful supporting role who existed only to make the female characters shine brighter. He was the kind of character who would eventually betray the heroines, get killed off in a tragic cutscene, and be forgotten by players within a week.
His name was Lee Seong-hyun.
…And now that name belonged to me.
I clenched my fists tightly. My body felt lighter than I expected. The muscles in my arms were well-defined, and I could sense a strange energy flowing through me. It was the power of a Hunter, the system that governed this world.
But that wasn’t what mattered right now.
What mattered was the translucent window hovering in the corner of my vision. A window that looked exactly like the Community gallery I used to browse every day.
Community synchronized with real-time player discussions.
You can read posts, search for information, and even leave comments.
Warning: Spoilers from the future may appear. Use with caution.
I swallowed hard.
This was my one and only advantage.
In a world where every female character was destined to fall into tragedy, where the story was designed to be as cruel and dramatic as possible, I alone possessed the power to see the future through the eyes of the players who had already experienced it.
I could prevent the betrayals.
I could stop the deaths.
And maybe… just maybe, I could change the ending that had already been written.
A bitter smile crept across my lips.
“Alright then,” I muttered under my breath. “Let’s see how far I can twist this damned story.”
I opened the Community window with a flick of my finger.
The first thing that caught my eye was a pinned post at the very top.
I clicked on it without hesitation.
The post was filled with screenshots from a future event I had never seen before. A beautiful woman with long silver hair was smiling as she drove a blade through my character’s heart.
Her name was Si-eun.
One of the main heroines of Last Shion, and the very person who would become my first companion in this world.
“…You’ve got to be kidding me.”
My hands trembled slightly as I scrolled down.
The comments were overflowing with laughter and mockery.
I closed the window and took a deep breath.
The future I just saw was only a few months away.
Si-eun would approach me with a kind smile, pretending to be an ally. She would fight by my side, share her secrets, and slowly earn my trust.
And then she would plunge a dagger into my back at the worst possible moment.
But now I knew.
I knew exactly when, where, and how she would betray me.
A cold smile formed on my lips.
“Sorry, but I’m not going to follow the script you wrote for me.”
I was no longer just a disposable male character.
I was the only player in this world who could read the future through the Community.
And I was going to use that power to survive.
To protect the people I needed to protect.
And to completely rewrite the tragedy that was supposed to unfold.
I looked up at the neon-lit sky of Shion and clenched my fist.
The game had just begun.
