Doppleganger (2)
He'd checked the system message, but it didn't change what he had to do. The only difference was the time limit imposed by the random black waves that shifted positions, so he needed to hurry.
Grabbing a spare lantern from his inventory, Han Yeoul quickly headed toward the nearest onahole he could sense.
Thud. Thud.
No doppelgangers in sight anywhere?
Having been left alone, he'd expected fierce battles whenever he ran into enemies, but not a single doppelganger clone crossed his path during the trek. The typical changes in monsters from enhanced dungeons usually boiled down to two things: overwhelming numbers that gave no breathing room, or fewer but elite-grade foes. This seemed to be the latter.
Traversing the eerily quiet labyrinth alone, Han Yeoul reached the spot where he'd sensed the closest onahole without incident.
"Brina? Slami? Jeanne? If you can hear me, answer!"
The dungeon's thick mana density made pinpointing exact locations tricky, so he stood in place, expanding his senses while calling out to his onaholes. They might hear and come to him—or a doppelganger might impersonate one and do the same—but Yeoul didn't care. Whoever showed up, real or fake, he'd have to verify them anyway.
As he shouted, a figure soon emerged from the shadows deep in the passage.
"Who's there?"
"Master?"
It was Brina who stepped into view from around the corner. Under normal circumstances, he'd be relieved to reunite so quickly and move on, but they were deep in a doppelganger dungeon.
"Stop right there."
"That's my line."
Brina and Yeoul drew their weapons while keeping each other in sight, eyeing one another warily. Visually, there was no way to tell real from fake, so they started talking.
"Sorry, but are you the real Master?"
"And are you the real Brina? The Brina I know wouldn't doubt me for a second."
"Better than falling for some doppelganger and betraying you, Master."
Her firm tone made Yeoul think, She sounds like the real Brina.
But speech patterns were easy for a doppelganger that perfectly copied appearances. Yeoul fired off a few questions—details only the real Brina would know.
"Where did we first meet?"
"In the Goblin's Tomb dungeon. That's where you took me in, Master."
"What state were you in at stage three?"
"Just a body and head—no limbs."
She answered flawlessly about events from back when it was just the two of them, before the other onaholes. Convinced, Yeoul sheathed his weapon.
"Guess you really are Brina."
"Asking questions only you and I would know... looks like you're the real Master too."
Brina relaxed as well, holstering her twin daggers and approaching him.
"Haven't run into the others yet?"
"You're the first. Time to track down Slami and Jeanne next."
"I see. Then... ngh?!"
As she drew close, Yeoul whipped out his sword in a flash, slashing at her. She dodged just in time to avoid a fatal blow, but a long gash still opened on her cheek.
"What the hell?!"
Startled by the head-aimed strike, Brina yelled, but Yeoul glanced at the wound and activated his authority.
"Repair."
"......?"
Onaholes auto-healed from stored semen, and his direct Repair should have worked too—but it didn't. That confirmed it: fake.
"Figured. Can't copy authority-related stuff, huh."
"Authority? What are you—"
"Cut the act. It's obvious now."
The doppelganger's face went blank at his words—its true, emotionless expression, reciting copied memories.
"How'd you know? You couldn't be sure until you tried that repair thing."
As a mere clone of the original, it could mimic appearance, mannerisms, and speech perfectly. So it couldn't fathom his certainty.
Yeoul shrugged. "Simple: the real Brina would've tried seducing me the second she realized we were alone. Haven't used her solo lately—she's been pent up."
These past few weeks, he'd focused on breaking Jeanne, sidelining Brina and Slami. Slami prioritized semen over use and was fine with dungeon rations, but Brina—whose top priority was being used as an onahole—grew visibly frustrated as new onaholes cut into her time. Post-Jeanne, he'd rotated them evenly in this dungeon without any deep solo sessions, and he'd constantly sensed her sticky lust through their link.
Too calm for the real Brina upon realizing they were alone. The repair test was just double-checking.
The emotionless doppelganger couldn't grasp it. "......? Doesn't make sense. You pegged me as a fake over that?"
"Don't get it? Doesn't matter. Die."
No mercy for monsters. Even in a 6th-grade dungeon, Yeoul had pushed his body to limits in 7th-grade ones and cleared higher-rated spots with skill. A non-boss with transformation as its gimmick? No chance 1v1.
It had copied Brina's looks and some physical stats, but that backfired. Without authority-copied semen-fueled skills, and lacking her full prowess, it crumbled. Dead serious, Yeoul dropped it in two exchanges.
"Gahk!!"
"Sucks slicing something that looks just like Brina."
Staring grimly at the throat-slashed doppelganger, he watched it clutch the wound, gurgling—mimicking death from Brina's memories, no real rage or fear in its eyes. Black ichor leaked as it stilled.
"Not dead yet, right? Onahole Transformation."
Not a pretty corpse, but worth a shot. Its purpose aligned anyway—might as well collect.
Gurgle—!
The authority hit, and the body melted into black liquid like the leaking ichor. Then it bounced off, absorbing into the floor.
First failure. Yeoul narrowed his eyes. Authority rejected? No—more like it couldn't apply. Not a valid target.
Recalling pre-dungeon intel: These wandering doppelgangers are clones, treated as part of the boss. Can't onahole-ize until I take down the main body.
Disappointing, but duplicates weren't essential, and the boss would have better skills. He moved on.
Soon, another Brina appeared.
"Just the two of us, Master?"
"Yeah. Time to find the others."
Same as before—but this time, her response differed.
"Can't we... wait just a bit before going, Master?"
Regretfully, she peeled off layers, slowly approaching seductively. Real one this time, Yeoul thought.
But nope—another fake.
"Didn't expect you'd die from a gut rupture..."
Thinking her real, he'd used her like always—full hilt-deep thrust. Real Brina would've loved it, but this doppelganger lacked onahole elasticity and repair. It burst the moment he bottomed out.
Yeoul panicked too—impaled by dick. No gore, just black ichor, but the shock lingered.
And another issue: "Ow, that stings like hell..."
No gender for amorphous doppelgangers, but penetration happened. His mana body part invaded its mana insides, sparking repulsion. Brief contact, but sensitive spot meant peeled skin hurt bad. Good thing Regeneration healed it fast.
"Close call. Looks like clones share info."
Next ones would adapt. "Only one surefire way, huh?"
Eyeing the melting corpse: Dick'll hurt, but gotta use 'em to check.
Verified and killed in one go—perfect if he toughed out the pain. Real Brina wouldn't refuse use anyway; refusal = fake.
Later fakes approached, all bursting on use. When deception failed, they attacked openly—two or three at once, no threat to him.
Realizing Brina-form was futile, no more came.
"Ngh! This feel—real Brina this time!"
"This time...? Master, what do you—Ahhhnngh?! ♥"
Finally finding the genuine article, Yeoul pounded her fiercely to wash away the memories. That stretching give, extending with every thrust. Only then did the piercing trauma fade.
