2-19 Seed of Ruin Subjugation Battle (Priestess Kana - Perverted Priestess Who Loves Bondage♥) (2)
A cross of light pierced through the clouds, plummeting from the heavens. The monster Jabberwocky, impaled by it, came crashing down.
But the ferocious momentum of its fall didn't last. Its descent soon slowed to a gentle pace. Jabberwocky was shaking off its bewilderment and beginning to resist.
Its body had been run through by the spear of light, but it hadn't pierced flesh or hide to deal physical damage. This spear held no such brute force.
This was a curse.
A curse that imposed special conditions on the pierced target. The intent poured into it by the 1st Saintess Saria was a desire to drag this monster down to the earth.
Responding to that will and wish, the spear of light had afflicted Jabberwocky with the Curse of Gravity.
A gravitational barrier imprisoned only that monster, crushing its entire body and rendering it unable to fly as before. Even flapping its wings grew laborious, its breath choked as pained groans escaped its maw. Its neck kept buckling downward, and the ground loomed ever closer in the monster's vision.
BOOM!!
At last, Jabberwocky's massive bulk slammed into the earth. Already heavy, now compounded by the saintess's super-compressed gravity, the ground couldn't withstand it. Cracks spiderwebbed outward with a grinding crunch-crunch. Pavement blocks shifted and buckled everywhere. Only the spot where Jabberwocky landed sank into a deep crater.
"Charge!!"
"The saintess brought the monster down!"
"Now our swords can reach it!! Slash it to pieces!!"
The holy knights, who had been holding back their strength until now, surged forward the instant Jabberwocky crashed. Each one cloaked in golden mana, the mark of the saintess's blessing.
Flying in the sky was one thing, but on the ground now, it was no different from the monsters they'd exterminated countless times. Just bigger and fiercer. Now within arm's reach, all they had to do was close in and cleave.
Their sword auras could surely pierce that thick hide.
『KIIIIIAAAAAHHH!!』
But Jabberwocky was a monster with provisional Lv.7 potential. It wasn't going down easy.
Even crushed by the saintess's curse and hampered in its movements, that didn't bind it completely.
Its razor claws shredded the surroundings, its wings whipped up typhoon-force winds, and its sturdy tail batted an approaching holy knight away. Heavy-armored knights flew like cannonballs into nearby homes, smashing through walls and burying themselves. The scene repeated several times.
Even with the saintess's blessing suppressing fear, and her curse hindering the foe—even so, these holy knights were overwhelmed against this Seed of Ruin, a monster from legend.
Without the blessing's fear suppression, their morale would have crumbled in seconds.
Yet the holy knights kept charging. They knew if they failed to hold here, innocent citizens would be massacred by this beast.
This was the moment they'd trained for—to protect everyone, blessed by the goddess as knights. They were certain of it.
『KYAAAHHH!!』
KABOOM!BOOM!!
Jabberwocky's thrashing grew more violent. Its claws and tail swung faster and harder, and flames began spewing from its maw.
Half the gathered holy knights were already out of commission from its attacks. And despite that sacrifice, the damage their swords inflicted was negligible.
Jabberwocky knew these holy knights—even blessed—were no match for it. No real threat.
But this curse weighing it down? That was bothersome. A genuine threat.
So at some point, Jabberwocky switched targets. Ignore the pesky flies around it—eliminate the culprit first.
"?!"
"It's aiming for the saintess...!!"
"St-stop! Stoooop!!!"
Jabberwocky pulverized the ground as it charged. Wings flapping or mana levitation—its body was too heavy to fly. It had no choice but to scramble forward on its reverse-jointed, skeletal limbs like a beast on all fours.
But even like this, it would arrive soon. The saintess, who had been distant moments ago, rapidly drew near.
And then—
Shrrrrrrrrrrk!!
"Gak-?!"
Suddenly appearing chains halted Jabberwocky. In an instant, they coiled around its entire body, staking it to the ground, immobilizing it.
Those chains and stakes were all made of vivid red blood.
"Even if it was flying, we weren't helpless... but this makes things much easier anyway."
"I can't fly either... but at this height where my sword can reach, I can fight too."
Bound by blood chains and frozen for a moment, Jabberwocky watched as figures closed in.
One: a red-haired woman wielding a long spear woven from her own crimson blood.
One: a brown short-haired woman gripping a knight's sword gleaming with holy sword aura.
The 2nd Saintess Sharon and Holy Knight Noa Florence. Now sworn in loyalty to Gaon Kingdom's king, they had arrived on his orders.

"—By our king's command."
"—We shall subjugate you, Seed of Ruin."
With that, saintess and knight crouched low like diving hawks, kicked off the ground, and charged together.
Their target, Jabberwocky, snapped all the binding chains in a flash. Regaining freedom, the Seed of Ruin roared ferociously at these new threats—cloaked in red and white light—and lashed out with limbs and tail.
Gaon watched the scene from the rooftop. Even without that, his player skills let him view his subordinates and their surroundings.
But all he could do was watch. His incubus level had risen, granting new yin-yang arts and spells, but his combat power remained pathetic.
If he went down there now, he'd just get in the way.
"Lemon, you okay?"
"...Y-yes, for now!"
The 3rd Saintess Lemon, standing beside him on the rooftop, held her hands clasped, emanating a soft silver glow. She was still maintaining her Healing Field from moments ago, even expanding its range to cover the holy knights battling Jabberwocky.
Holy knights sent flying by its tail or shredded by claws—Lemon's power barely pulled them back from fatal wounds, preserving their lives.
Those with broken bones healed instantly under the saintess's grace and rushed back to the fray.
Without Lemon's healing, the encirclement around Jabberwocky would have collapsed long ago.
Even in this chaos, Gaon could do nothing. He lacked healing and barriers, blood blessings or martial boons, divine favor or curses.
All he could do was trust and leave it to those fighting the monster.
"...I'm leaving it all to you."
So Gaon opened his status window. Unable to fight up front or support from rear, the best he could manage was buffing his deployed units.
I've cleared quite a few achievements since arriving in this city.
Took the saintesses' slave oaths. Persuaded the [Fortune Teller] Sion into mine.
Noa and Heart's affection toward him had skyrocketed unbelievably. Each accomplishment converted to Resource Magic.
I blew it all once before.
It's filled up again. Even more than last time.
No more hesitation—he poured every drop of Resource Magic into Sharon, Noa, and the saintess Lemon beside him.
"...!? This is...!"
Lemon's eyes widened at the change within her. Realizing it was grace from her new god—Gaon—she let out an ecstatic sigh. "Haaaah...♡"
The magic circle around her sharpened, its brilliance intensifying. Her healing domain visibly expanded.
Until just before, Lemon the saintess had been Lv.3. Now, empowered by Gaon, she was Lv.4.
With her unit level up, her healing magic's potency and range naturally grew. It now enveloped not just combatants but any civilians caught in the fray.
Even those on the brink from Jabberwocky's strikes recovered swiftly, rising to fight again. Limbs severed regrew in moments—a miracle that filled the holy knights with renewed awe for the goddess's power and the saintess's might.
This instant's level-up wasn't Lemon's alone. Sharon and Noa both jumped from Lv.4 to Lv.5.
"...Win this, everyone."
His Resource Magic reserves emptied once more. Gaon sighed, closed the status window, and gazed back at the scene below.
The battle there raged even fiercer than before.
Golden and silver lights intertwined in harmony rather than clashing, enveloping their bodies. Silver healed wounds the instant they formed. Gold boosted their stats, unleashing greater power.
"Haaaaaaaah!!"
Amid the gold-silver fusion, Noa bellowed a spirited kiai and swung her sword. The radiant holy sword aura dug into Jabberwocky's hide, slicing deep along her dashing path. A wing came free with a thud!, hitting the ground.
One-winged now—like a devil-dragon hybrid—the monster bellowed in rage.
