I Am Not Guilty
I am not guilty. I can say that with certainty. Did I post a 5,700-character rant? I did. Did I go around every community calling this game a steaming pile of crap? I did. Did I bomb the store page with one-star reviews? I did. And even after doing all that, I can still declare with absolute certainty that I am not guilty. Because this garbage game, in its harem route, sent every single heroine off to be "adopted" in the after-story just because the protagonist didn't claim them.
Well, the adoption part I could maybe understand. After all, they were heroines the protagonist never pursued. It makes sense for them to go off and live their own lives. But if that was all it was, I wouldn't have done what I did. This trash game didn't just do a normal adoption—it went full-on humiliation, despair, and NTR bad-end adoption. Even if they weren't the main heroines, they were characters we'd spent time with through the story. Expecting a happy after-story for them is only natural. So my actions were completely justified.
Though I will admit, getting isekai'd into the game by the petty developers just because they got some complaints was a bit unexpected. But if they thought this would make me regret anything, they were dead wrong. I'm going to live it up here out of spite.
◆ The game's story begins after enrollment, right at the entrance ceremony. But the point I got isekai'd into was before the ceremony. Specifically, right after the entrance exam results came out. There were about two weeks left until the entrance ceremony.
Personally, I think I landed at a pretty decent time. If I'd woken up on exam day, I would've had to take the test without knowing anything and probably failed. If I'd arrived any later, I wouldn't have had time to get used to this new body before classes started. Two weeks was just enough time to familiarize myself with this game world.
I could verify whether my knowledge of the game world was accurate, and I could also pick up miscellaneous information like item prices that the game never properly explained. But there were some things two weeks just wasn't enough to get used to. For example, my body that had turned into a woman.
"Nngh…"
After struggling for a while, gripping the heavy lumps of fat, I finally managed to put on the bra. Click. The moment the hook properly fastened, I felt the reassuring stability of my two breasts, which had been bouncing around with every movement, now properly secured. I still had to push the parts spilling out from the sides back in with my fingers. At least that wasn't too difficult.
"Haa… When am I ever going to get used to this?"
It only took three days to adapt to being a woman. The first day, the completely shifted center of gravity made even walking straight difficult, but now I could walk and run as naturally as if I'd always been this way. The bra, however, was a different story. It was too big to go without, so I'd just have to hope I'd get used to it eventually.
Once the bra was on, putting on the rest of my clothes was quick. Finally, I stood in front of the full-length mirror to straighten everything out. I checked for any unbuttoned buttons or untied straps, made sure my hair wasn't sticking up weirdly, and inspected my upright rabbit ears for any dirt.
Yeah. Rabbit ears. The girl named Luna I'd possessed was a rabbit beastman. If they were going to make me a beastman, they could've at least picked something cool like a wolf or tiger. I felt a brief pang of disappointment, but thinking about it, the ones who shoved me in here had no reason to accommodate my preferences. I'd only done what was right and fair, but from the game company's perspective, it must've been annoying. At least the appearance was pretty. Rabbits might not be cool, but they were cute.
"Luna, are you heading out now?"
When I finished getting ready and stepped out of the inn room, the innkeeper greeted me warmly. She was an incredibly friendly woman who'd helped me a lot when I first got isekai'd and was struggling to adjust.
"Yes. I was thinking of stopping by the academy today."
"The academy? You'll be seeing plenty of it starting in a few days. You're going already?"
"Well, later on I'll probably be sick of it, but right now I still don't know my way around."
"Hoho, that's true. Have a good time. Will you be back for dinner?"
"No, I'll probably be back before then."
"Alright. I'll have it ready. And thanks again for tonight. My daughter keeps looking forward to dinner every day."
"Haha…"
I gave a vague reply to her last comment and left the inn. The innkeeper was a good person, but her daughter was a bit… Well, the daughter was a good kid too. But she was still just a little brat, so whenever she saw me she'd shout "Bunny!" and try to grab my ears or tail. Being petted was fine, but when a kid who didn't know how to control their strength suddenly grabbed my ears with full force… that feeling was something you wouldn't understand unless you'd experienced it. Though getting free dinner in exchange for playing with her wasn't so bad.
After walking about twenty minutes from the inn, the Imperial Academy came into view. The Imperial Academy lived up to the "Imperial" in its name with its imposing presence. It was as large as two decently famous university campuses combined in the modern world, with so many buildings that even the staff didn't know exactly how many there were. Before its grandeur, I wondered if this was even realistic, but since this was a world that wasn't realistic to begin with, I just accepted it. Besides, this was the academy I'd be attending for the next four years. There was nothing to complain about if it was impressive.
"This is the Imperial Academy. What brings you here?"
"I'm a prospective student. Can I look around?"
I showed the temporary student ID that had been given out along with the acceptance notice. It was only meant to be used briefly before the official student ID was issued after enrollment. The guard checked the ID, handed it back, and gave me a small badge.
"If you get lost inside, press this. Help will arrive within ten minutes."
The guard's tone was very serious. Come to think of it, one of the random subquests in the game involved finding someone who'd gone missing inside the academy. Usually it was because they'd been kidnapped by villain organizations targeting the academy or had wandered into some dangerous area, but there was a low chance it was just someone who got lost. Still, that was the game. In reality, getting lost was probably more common than getting caught up in suspicious incidents.
I nodded to myself and tucked the badge into my pocket. Well, I probably wouldn't need to use it anyway. Having lived in a modern city full of identical square buildings, getting lost in a fantasy world where every building had its own character was unlikely.
With that casual thought, I passed through the main gate. My heart raced at the thought of seeing the academy I'd only ever seen in CGs with my own eyes.
◆ Had I said earlier that there was nothing to complain about just because the academy was impressive? Cancel that. At least one thing to complain about was happening right now. As I walked around wondering which building was which event location, I suddenly found myself standing in a place I didn't recognize at all.
"Isn't that the same building from earlier? Or maybe not?"
Fine, I'd admit it. I'd gotten spectacularly lost. Thinking about it, even though modern buildings were all boxy, you could at least tell them apart by their signs. Here, the fantasy buildings didn't have any distinctive signs, so it was actually easier to get lost. Even if the buildings had character, I couldn't memorize every single one.
"Well, at least I brought the badge."
Feeling the reassuring weight in my pocket, I started walking again. If I just wandered around, I'd probably find somewhere familiar. And even if I didn't, I had the badge. At this point, it felt more like a stroll than a tour. Still, I'd told the innkeeper I'd be back before sunset, so I'd press the badge around then.
"What should I do from now on…"
As I walked, various thoughts came to mind. The most important thing was to follow the game's main story. Even after thinking about it constantly since getting isekai'd, that conclusion never changed. Once you cleared the main story, the goddess would grant you one wish. In the game, the wish options were limited to reasonable levels, so I didn't know if she'd grant any wish, but if there was a way for me to return to the modern world, this was probably the most likely method.
When I got back, I'd have a few words for the game company. Something like, "Thanks to you guys, I had a great time. Your world was pretty damn impressive, huh?" That ought to really get under their skin. They dumped me here as punishment, so seeing me come back perfectly fine and saying that would probably piss them off royally. Just thinking about it put me in a good mood.
"…Hm?"
While smirking to myself as I walked along the path, I felt something strange. It was hard to describe, but… should I go check it out? It didn't seem dangerous. After walking a bit off the path, a building suddenly appeared before me. It was like those scenes in novels where crossing a barrier reveals something that was hidden. Exactly that feeling.
And the building that appeared was very familiar. It was a building I'd seen countless times while playing the game. It was the protagonists' hideout. The game only mentioned it was somewhere ordinary people couldn't find, without giving the exact location, so I'd been wondering how to locate it. To think I'd find it like this. My luck was really good.
"Excuse me~"
Grinning, I opened the door to the building.
"Ugh, what's that smell?"
The moment the door opened, a strange odor wafted out from inside. It was somehow familiar, yet I couldn't quite place it. Furrowing my brows, I peered inside and saw a woman completely naked, her beautiful body on full display. She had a figure that radiated maternal warmth and a face that seemed to glow with its own light. Her appearance was breathtaking. And in front of her was… a man pleasuring himself like a mad skeleton—no, just a man pleasuring himself.
The man, noticing my presence, turned his head. Our eyes met.
"Aaaah! Who are you?!"
"Eek! S-sorr—"
Just as I was about to apologize and close the door, I remembered this was still the academy. Right. Just like how school rooftops were suspiciously easy for anyone to access or how the gym storage shed always had couples getting locked inside, this place was also a public space. In other words, I hadn't done anything wrong.
"S-sorry my ass! Who the hell jerks off in the academy?!"
