Epilogue
Hello, dear readers.
This is author AriaR.
I have completed my second work, 'I Became the Husband of an Idol in a Gender-Reversed World.'
From November of last year to May 28th of this year, it ran for a total of 242 chapters, including the prologue.
Considering the serialization period, it doesn't feel like I was writing for that long, but when I look at the number of chapters, I get a different feeling.
That's probably because I posted frequent bonus chapters.
Honestly, if there was one difficulty I faced while writing this work, it was the constant worry over the keyword 'slice of life' — specifically, how much enjoyment I could give you, the readers, through it.
Since the series was branded as gender-reversal, romance, and slice of life, I agonized a lot over how to cook those keywords together deliciously.
As I kept writing, the gender-reversal element diminished and the slice-of-life romance aspect grew larger, which caused me a fair bit of anguish.
That's why, for the work I'm serializing concurrently, 'I Was Chosen as the Saintess' Husband,' I stripped out the gender-reversal and am driving the story forward with slice-of-life romance as the main keyword.
After I uploaded this work to Plus, it received an amount of attention I couldn't have dreamed of in just five days.
Just the number of favorites it gained within five days exceeded three thousand — I think it received incredible, and frankly undeserved, interest.
Well, setting aside talk of my other work for now...
As for 'I Became the Husband of an Idol in a Gender-Reversed World,' it might end up being the greatest hit of my career.
That's because I'm deeply attached to it, and it's a work you readers have loved so much.
There's no guarantee my next work will do well, after all.
If I could have it my way, even after this work moves to the completed section, the view count would keep climbing steadily, hit one million views, and I'd even receive a new cover from Novelpia. That would be wonderful.
That said, I have no intention of being satisfied with just this.
At the moment, I'm serializing a new work through the free serialization system.
The title is 'I Became the Grand Duke's Son in a Romance Fantasy Game Where the Setting Changed to Gender Reversal.'
It's my latest work, a return to my roots, written in the 'gender-reversal' genre that I might as well call my foundation.
The Idol's Husband ends here, but my pen has no intention of stopping.
As long as you readers continue to find my writing enjoyable, I'll probably keep on writing.
So, I'll take my leave here for now.
I'd love to show you the cover sketch for my new work, but I received some advice that keeping these things under wraps and then revealing them suddenly is what readers enjoy more, so I won't be unveiling it just yet.
To all the readers who have enjoyed 'I Became the Husband of an Idol in a Gender-Reversed World' up until now, and to all the readers who will read this work in the future, thank you. I'm off to write again now.
I love you all!
Ah! As for the side stories, I'll write them in my spare time and upload them.
I'd like to try writing about little Arini getting into a fight at kindergarten, or going to school.
And maybe even the story of her graduating from high school!
