Do-young's Favorite Random Game (6)
The effect of the virgin room was definitely real. Just look at Do Ha-min, reacting so sensitively to every little word I said.
"Sorry... because of me, your room... I'm really sorry."
The problem was figuring out what had him reacting so hypersensitively. His face looked too flustered to grill him right now, so I decided to put it on hold.
"Don't sweat it. The floor can be wiped, and clothes changed. Lucky it's Friday. I was gonna wash the uniform anyway."
Thanks to Do Ha-min personally spilling mango juice everywhere with his mouth, the room had turned into a total mess. Still, it could've been worse. The workbooks and textbooks were fine; only the floor and some clothes got a little wet.
"G-give me a rag. I'll clean it."
"Nah, I'll do it. You just dry your clothes."
"But it was my mistake."
"I'm the bad one who provided the cause, duh."
"...Still, let's do it together. I spilled it."
We wiped up the sticky juice stains together. Even after it was all gone, I could've sworn a faint mango scent lingered on the floor, but hey, it wasn't a bad smell, so time would take care of it.
"Your clothes are wet too, Do Ha-min. Why don't you change?"
"Oh... yeah, probably should. I'll go down to the dojo on the first floor and change into a dobok."
"No, don't. Too much hassle, and I don't wanna hear Dad nag about spilling juice."
"B-but then I don't have anything to change into..."
"Hey, here."
I handed Do Ha-min a school gym uniform with Ban Do-young embroidered on it. There was more overlap than you'd think between the clothes wearable by the shortest guy in Class 1 and the tallest girl in Class 1, but I couldn't exactly give him actual women's clothes. He'd have some complex about his small build anyway, so handing him girls' stuff would've hurt. The gender-neutral gym uniform was the only option that wouldn't bruise his pride too much while letting him accept my help without fuss.
"Th-thanks..."
"Take that and step out for a bit."
"Huh...?"
"...I gotta change too, y'know. My blouse you dirtied."
"Oh...."
"What, wanna peek at the granny bra?"
"N-no...! I'll go change outside!"
Do Ha-min bolted out of the room clutching the gym uniform.
"Ugh, even the bra's sticky inside. Gotta change this too."
Oh right, forgot to ask Do Ha-min his bra color preference. Marina-chan's got silver hair, so white should work fine.

I slipped on a T-shirt I'd swiped from my brother Re-young's room—who's off in the military—and Do Ha-min wore the gym uniform with my name on it. Time for some serious exam cramming.
"I picked out the problems you especially mix up from that mock exam last time."
"Ooh, thoughtful. You didn't make them all one by one, did you?"
"Yeah... it wasn't hard... Making problems is part of studying too..."
"Hehe, can't wait. Do Ha-min's Virgin Problem Conquest. Suddenly super motivated."
"You get hyped from the weirdest places..."
Ms. Yeo Mi-so's goal was beating the grade average on midterms. No time to waste, so Do Ha-min's strategy was pulling up the lowest subjects first. Luckily, stuff like humanities and language from my school days stuck better, so less worry there.
With just over two weeks left, he focused on math and science—where Ban Do-young sucked most.
"Okay, try this one next. Shouldn't be too bad if you follow what I taught."
"Here goes... Make an equation satisfying both conditions first... then combine and solve..."
"Right. That's it. You get it."
"Hearing you explain makes those old forgotten formulas come back."
"Yeah, it's not that you forgot— you know it deep down."
Do Ha-min grinned proudly at me like I was something special. Despite the rocky start with all the chaos, once we dove in, things went surprisingly smoothly. Hearing his solutions while facing the problems made them way easier than fumbling alone. Not just higher accuracy— I actually understood why they were right. Grasping the structure meant I could apply it to similar types later.
"You're... doing better than I thought...? Was kinda worried with your single-digit math scores."
"Hehe, praise me more, Master."
"You really are. Glad I dragged these problems over."
"Yes! Future hubby face normalization, full steam ahead!"
"If only you skipped the weird stuff at the end..."
High school cram sessions must've left more residue than I thought. Or maybe Do Ha-min was just freakishly good at teaching for a high schooler.
This guy's got a knack for it.
I'd noticed when he taught me cooking at his place too—he was great at explaining to others. Sharp eye for problems, considerate, pinpointing what I missed and breaking it down simply. After his explanations, I didn't mess up those problems again. Sometimes better than our teachers.
"Hold up, this equation can simplify more. Try writing it like this? Way cleaner."
"Whoa... yeah. So neat and precise, like Ban Do-young's facial features."
"I think you're pretty too, so focus on the problem."
"Y-you just let that slide? You called me pretty! No blushing like usual?"
"Nail the answer and maybe. Now solve it."
"F-fine... I'll solve it."
Especially when teaching, Do Ha-min stayed dead serious. If I cracked jokes to break the ice, he'd brush them off stone-faced unless I got it right or buckled down. I'd thought locking him in the virgin room rattled him, but that was just pre-study distractions. Once focused, he was rock-solid— even I couldn't shake him.
No wonder the world's top beauty's date invite gets shot down with "studying" as excuse. He'd blushed from me in class before, but here in this ultimate distraction zone? Unshakable.
I was curious why.
"Hey, Do Ha-min. Got a question..."
"Problem-related? Or personal? Personal waits till we're done."
"...Y-yeah."
No chit-chat till we cleared the math gatekeepers. Me, the main heroine possessed, alone with the protag in her room, reduced to grinding math for conversation? Was this pure-love webtoon material? But that doubt got shoved aside too.
Can't forget the easy trig method Do Ha-min taught. Understanding the definition matters, right?
Finally, way past the 100-minute mock limit, I finished his problems.
"Whew... tough, long haul. Over two hours?"
Sun long gone— more night than evening. Accuracy? Meh. But solo-cleared on my own.
"Do Ha-min, I finished your problems. Not sure on target score, but check?"
"..."
"...Do Ha-min? Asleep?"
-Thud
His head smacked the table.
"Seriously asleep..."
So quiet the whole time. Well, he's always quiet, but still.
He'd conked out while I worked.
"No way this problem..."
I spread his workbook and handouts. Similar types, but none identical— all custom-made.
"Said he made a few... but all of 'em handmade."
School till 10pm yesterday, two-hour commute home past midnight. Then all-nighter crafting these for Ban Do-young.
Just to get her into studying.
"...You're something else."
Dead serious for Ban Do-young.
"Kinda jealous, Miss Ban Do-young."
Main heroine with this as protag.
"Gym clothes alone? You'll catch cold."
Like the cinema boob-pillow incident, deep sleepers don't wake easy. I grabbed a blanket from the bed and draped it over him.
Little breather for him now. And me.
His phone buzzed with a notification—from a saved contact.
"..."
I quietly picked it up, swiped the screen. Locked, of course—but 0101 did it.
> Password: 0101
>Lock Released.
I opened the chat.
"Do Ha-min's gay or what? January 1st birthday and that's your password?"
"Yup. His mom."
Warmth radiated even through text. Profile pic: kid Do Ha-min, not herself. Spoke volumes.
"...Hehe."
Muted the phone, opened keyboard.
.
.
.
"Heh."
I love you too, Do Ha-min's mom.
