Q&A and Unfinished Lore
Let’s do a quick Q&A based on the comments readers left behind!
Q. Who does Geom Mujin end up with?
A. When I first outlined the story, Geom Mujin was either going to end up with no one, or with Yu Seol-yeong.
Since his mental age, when you add together his previous life and his current one, is practically that of a man on the doorstep of old age, he’s more interested in raising kids than in romance. What a grandpa, seriously, lol.
That’s why, if I’d added scenes where the heroines appealed to Ihwa’s maternal instincts, I could’ve milked another two or three chapters out of it—mmph!
Q. Are there any plans for side stories?
A. I’m sorry, but there aren’t any side stories planned.
No 19+ side story either! Seriously.
I’m already writing my next work—mmph!
Q. What happens to Moyong Yehwa?
A. Yehwa keeps aggressively pursuing Yeon Jiho and eventually becomes part of the harem!
Isn’t a harem just the law of the land for a protagonist?
Q. So who exactly is the leader of Myeol-ho Jeong-geom-hoe?
A. The leader of Myeol-ho Jeong-geom-hoe is tied to some unfinished lore, and the truth is that the leader is someone from the imperial palace—though the senior members don’t know that.
Unlike the other executives, who were all martial artists defeated by Geom Mujin, the leader is not one of them.
It was basically a device I put in place so I could run with a story about the imperial palace’s scheme to exploit Geom Mujin as a knife to borrow another man’s hand, eliminate the masters who’d grown too powerful after the Good-Evil Great War, and weaken the righteous factions’ power.
If I’d kept the serialization going, I’d even planned an episode where, after Geom Mujin crushed the leader, the imperial palace would offer him a sect founder position.
From here on, I’m going to talk about the unfinished lore!
There are two big pieces, and they’re about Geom Mujin and Ihwa!
First, Geom Mujin is actually someone with a hidden birth secret of his own.
In fact, he’s a descendant of Dugu Qiubai, the founder of Dugu Nine Swords, and a case where martial talent suddenly manifested in him, almost like skipping a generation!
If it weren’t for that, I figured it’d be hard to believe that a modern-day guy could become such an absolute master, so I added that detail.
Lastly, as for Ihwa: in truth, Ihwa is the final boss who massacred the original game’s protagonist and heroines.
Since his motif is a vampire, you could say he’s a bloodstained little sprout who’ll one day become the Blood Demon and found the Blood Cult.
(And in the original worldline too, Hwanma couldn’t bring about the revival of the Demonic Cult, poor guyㅠ)
The core thread of the story was this: the final boss of the original worldline meets Geom Mujin and avoids the route of dark evolution!
Things didn’t work out, so I had to bring the serial to a close, but these are the bits of lore I still couldn’t help writing down because they lingered with me!
Thank you, and thank you again, to everyone who read this all the way through!
When I come back with my next work, please make sure to read that one too!(__)
Minna! Go binge the whole thing and push this work’s views up to one million, l- mmph!
