Listening to the Witch OST with the Witch
"■■ there■■..." "■... ■■go ■■."
". . ."
"Gasp..."
I had a weird dream today. I was floating alone in an infinite cosmic space, then I heard some voice and woke up.
"What kind of bullshit dream was that..."
I got up right away, went to the bathroom, washed my face, and shook off the drowsiness. After finishing the recording session, my daily routine stayed the same. I woke up before noon, ate, and logged into Lost World. After logging in, I'd spend a few hours raising my life skill proficiency, then head to Asella's room for lessons. After class, I'd hang out with Asella, take a short break by logging out of the capsule, and then level up from late afternoon into the evening.
Repeating that for a week yielded results.
Reached Level 95.
Acquired 10 additional stat points.
A few unexpected schedules popped up, delaying things a bit more than planned, but I met the conditions to head to the next continent.
"Ugh... I'll grind the main quest hard this weekend..."
I logged out of Lost World and climbed out of the capsule.
"Oh yeah, the OST is supposed to upload to the official NewTube today..."
Sure enough, exactly an hour later, the premiere was up.
"...I just had a fun idea."
I wonder if people will figure out it's me?
. . .
Noel's Twitty channel was ice-cold. There, the 5-minute standby squad of viewers always waited for her stream.
Noel's last stream was 5 days ago. It was just nonstop leveling, but they didn't care. They just wanted to see Noel streaming diligently.
Then, the frozen channel lit up red.
Viewers flooded in after the stream alert. Since it was the first in 5 days, they poured in even faster.
Noel still hadn't appeared, leaving the waiting screen up.
[Noel laughing at us raging in chat? Super like lololol]
"Super like."
"Everyone, been well?"
"Leave again? For real?"
I chuckled and chatted with the loyal viewers for a while.
"Oh, grinding main quest this weekend."
"You all watching my videos okay?"
"Told the editors to take it easy. Part 2... probably this week?"
"Anyway, Witch OST dropped, so let's listen together."
Time flew by with chit-chat, and the premiere time arrived. Calm piano intro flowed, cinematic MV played.
Intro ended, my voice started.
"...Whoa."
The final mixed version of my recording was destructive. From the first notes, it tickled deep in my heart. The witch's emotions poured out vividly, enough to move everyone.
The video showed one witch helplessly watching another get stoned at the stake. She shed silent tears, fearing any sound, and steeled her resolve for revenge.
My singing voice differed enough from my usual that guesses trickled in sparingly.
'...Kinda disappointing?'
Meanwhile, the song neared the chorus. Full moon night, witches gathered under moonlight, resolving to advance. Asella at the center.
As chorus hit, a powerful tone pierced differently. Intense high notes, witches fought—refreshing my heart.
"Whoa... insane."
The mixed high notes were so satisfying. Heart raced naturally, ears flooded with pleasure. Goosebumps rose; I rubbed my arms unconsciously.
Song ended after verse 2 with Lost World logo, witch standing nobly, lingering aftertaste.
"...Whoa. Song's really good."
Truly, listening to Witch OST with a witch.
While lost in afterglow, a call came.
"You, you... that OST voice is you, right?!"
"Oh, everyone, quick call."
Muted mic, answered—Ye-rim's voice exploded.
"You... don't play dumb! Think I wouldn't know your voice?"
"Aha, unnie. Me?"
"Yooou... You're really good at singing..."
Ye-rim caught it in the chorus. We'd done karaoke together, so she knew my singing voice.
Sure enough, right after hanging up, Se-rin called. Tried denying, but no dice.
Back to stream, unmuted mic.
"Song's really good, right? Whoa... Even I who listens to music a lot was shocked."
"Huh? Me? I can't sing."
"Whatever. Let's chat. Been a while."
Chatted a bit more, then ended stream. Chat raged briefly at end, but ignored and closed.
. . .
After stream, a text came.
"...Huh."
No clue why a composer suddenly wanted me, but figured it's fine—replied.
Sent that, back into capsule. Full prep needed for northern continent, Arkteera.
. . .
First stop after logging in: potion shop with glass windows. Needed lots of cold resistance pots for north, plus HP/mana recovery.
Proficiency up, my alchemy at mid-level.
"Yuri-unnie~ I'm here!"
Yuri, messy purple hair half-fixed, eyed me sleepily.
"...Oh, you're here."
'She looks exhausted.'
"...Heading north, got cold resistance potions?"
"Better make your own."
"Ahaha... proficiency still low..."
Yuri glared briefly, then turned to fetch materials.
"How many?"
"Hmm... plenty?"
"...Wait."
Yuri went into the alchemy room labeled as such. I waited, browsing shop.
10 real minutes later, big bag out.
"Here, 50 cold resistance potions."
"Huh, too many..."
"Just take 'em! How cold is it there..."
Handing bag tsundere-style. So cute, I chuckled.
"Don't nitpick. Not free. 100,000 gold."
"Yep, here."
Still cheaper than market. "...Be careful."
"Thanks for worrying. Hehe."
Left shop.
"...Who said I was worried. Hmph."
. . .
Planned to make recovery pots at Yuri's, but after mooching, no rudeness. Made 50 mid HP/mana each in my room, then to Asella's.
"Asella-nim."
"Oh, you're here?"
Asella, goggles huge as her face, focused on potion—lethal cuteness.
"Gasp..."
"...Huh? What's up?"
"N-nothing."
Wanted to smother her in affection, but held back since focused.
"...Done."
"What's that?"
Asella poured shimmering golden liquid into vial.
"This? For you."
"Huh? Really?"
"Yeah, you're busy lately—heading out adventuring again?"
"...Yeah, about to."
"Here."
Great Witch Asella has given you a gift.

"...Eek."
Asella's gift transcended expectations—insane item.
"...C-can I really take this..?"
"I don't give to anyone. Gold cost to make one? So be grateful."
Couldn't hold back—showered Asella with affection.
"Asella-nim..!"
"Eueeek..."
