Evening Radio Confessions
"Welcome to Noel's Evening Radio, everyone. I hope you're all having a great time."
Right now, I was pulling the mic closer to make sure my voice came through crystal clear as I chatted away.
"First off, I've picked out a couple of stories that looked fun in advance, but I haven't read them yet. I just grabbed them based on the titles. Let's start with those."
I opened the pre-saved link and began reading the story aloud.
[I Just Realized I Like You...]
"Sounds fun already, right?"
"Hello, Noel. I'm just your average high school guy. When I started high school, there was this one friend from middle school in my grade. I'll call him A from now on. A had this great vibe with his mask and personality—he just drew people in. We were pretty close in middle school, messing around and all, so kids even asked if we were dating. But back then, I just thought of him as a close friend, no big deal."
"Ooh..."
Anyway, once we got to high school, we were in different classes, and with focusing on studies, we didn't hang out as much as before. When I finally visited A's class after a while, sure enough, his social skills had him chatting and laughing with friends. Part of me was like, as expected, but another part felt... off.
"Aha..."
Still, seeing A smile and come over to me like always made me think nothing had changed. But then, after finals in the second semester, it happened. Last day, last subject done, I head to A's class... and there he was, arm-in-arm with another guy, heading out.
"Ahh..."
I couldn't hold back the gross feeling bubbling up inside, so I rushed over, grabbed A's shoulder.
"Where you going?" I asked, and A gave this forced smile, saying, "Gonna hang with him today." Then he shook off my hand and walked out laughing with that friend, arms linked again. That's when it hit me—the source of that unease.
"Oh, I like him."
I scrolled down excitedly to read the last two lines.
"Even for an all-boys school, linking arms in public is kinda... huh?"
[Even for an all-boys school, isn't linking arms in public a bit much?]
"...You're done."
I banned that troll viewer who posted the bait story and let out a sigh.
"Anyway... my fault for picking this. My bad. Whew..."
...Even with the trash post, the advice session continued.
[High School Boy with a Serious Dilemma]
"Shall we check this one?"
Expecting a legit issue, I was greeted by... a math mock exam paper.
[No, this #22 is impossible... Such a dilemma.]
"Argh, seriously."
