A post shattered the usual atmosphere of endless bickering and shit-flinging in the gallery.
My vision shifted to purple, and before I knew it, I was in Asella's room. Unlike before, she was lounging comfortably on the sofa, welcoming me.
"Eue... you're here?"
Asella, sprawled out and melted into the sofa like slime, looked utterly adorable. I glanced around slyly and opened the broadcast chat.
"Sigh."
"W-what? Why the sigh...?"
As expected, the chat was shit-flinging central. I closed it again, flashed a grin, and looked back at Asella.
"Ahaha... it's nothing. Anyway, is it okay for you to be lounging like this with me here?"
Hearing that, Asella puffed her cheeks and glared at me from her lying position.
"So what! For you... it's fine, I guess!"
I perched on the edge of the sofa where she lay and stretched her cheek fat with one hand.
"Eeeek...! Wanna go again?"
Asella bolted up, stepped onto my lap, and yanked my cheek in revenge. Only after a while of mutual cheek-pinching did we get to the main topic.
"Lady Asella, I'm here... to truly become a witch."
Her demeanor shifted at my words, eyes crinkling with interest as she eyed me.
"Hmm~ Already? Nice."

Red. The whole world was red. Houses blazing fiercely, people collapsing and spraying blood. Even knowing it was a game, the scene churned my stomach.
And before my eyes stood Asella, red eyes glowing with clear hostility.

The world was frozen. Flames halted mid-roar. Time itself seemed stopped.
As I took in the situation, a red quest window obscured my view.
