The Dhampir Nun (2)
It was only then, after being startled by her being perfectly fine under the sunlight and that nonsense about repentance, that I noticed the pink hair I had missed.
The hair that gleamed beautifully under the sunlight instantly captured one’s gaze, naturally drawing it toward her face and then to her unnecessarily massive chest.
“You…. Ha.”
A pink-haired girl appearing in a world that seemed like dark fantasy wearing the mask of rofan.
She was the protagonist of a rofan no matter who saw her.
Even the sun god was providing unnecessary lighting effects, practically signaling to take her away.
“Follow me.”
“Yes!”
When we left the alley and entered the street, I felt a strange resistance from my clothes and glanced back.
“Why are you holding on?”
“S-sorry. I-I was anxious.”
Her expression looked like she would cry if I told her to let go.
It wasn’t as if the clothes would tear from a little dust, so I let her keep holding on and continued walking.
Through the city, along side paths, and then the road leading back to the cathedral.
She still seemed anxious, her head constantly turning this way and that without pause.
“How are you fine under the sun?”
There were creatures that could move under the sun despite drinking blood, but I never expected to see a vampire surviving under sunlight in my lifetime.
“Ah. I heard my father was a vampire.”
“What?”
“Mother was human, father was a vampire….”
Given her appearance, I didn’t ask what had happened to her mother.
Whether she had died in a witch hunt or for some other reason, it was clear she hadn’t survived.
“For now, there are nun robes in the storage, so pick something that fits, change, wash up in the shower room, and then come to the office.”
After parting with her at the cathedral’s back door, I headed straight to the office.
Homer: “What is it this time?”
Luckily, I knew one person who would shudder at the mere mention of vampires.
Dante: “Do vampires feel sexual desire toward humans, not just appetite?”
Homer: “Did you find some necrophiliac bastard? Why are you asking that?”
Dante: “I picked up a girl who said with her own mouth that she’s the child of a vampire and a human.”
A moment of silence.
Homer: “Did you kill her?”
The lightness had vanished from Homer’s voice.
The fact that he asked if I had killed her right away suggested this wasn’t a good situation.
Dante: “If I had killed her, I would have reported it immediately.”
Homer: “It happens occasionally. Really occasionally. Among the thousands of years of history of those damn mosquito bastards, there are perverts who feel abnormal sexual desire toward humans.”
Dante: “Isn’t that exactly what abnormal sexual desire is?”
Homer: “What do you call wanting to make love to a pig you’ve been happily eating?”
So it was abnormal sexual desire.
It wasn’t like I would drill a hole in bread I ate well, so the comparison fit perfectly.
Dante: “Even so, during training I read books like crazy because it was the only fun part, yet there’s no data at all? Does that make sense?”
Homer: “Of course it makes sense. Usually the vampire kills the partner after or even during the act, and even if the child is born, they kill it.”
It was a being that even Homer had never encountered during his active years.
Vampires, rampant with pureblood supremacy like old medieval nobles, would never leave behind the stain born between themselves and their prey.
Dante: “The kid I brought was only just becoming an adult.”
Homer: “Huh. The crazies in the lab would throw a fit if they saw her.”
The lab that consumed the most budget alongside the Exorcism Bureau’s equipment department.
They were the ones who researched, interpreted, and dissected every kind of monster, curse, and magic in exhaustive detail.
Dante: “No can do. The situation got completely fucked.”
Homer: “Why? Ah…. You don’t mean?”
Dante: “Yes. Repentance….”
Homer: “Was a vampire your type?”
“……”
This guy must have gone insane.
Homer: “Ahem. Sorry. It is doctrinally forbidden, but there are many hot-blooded men who can’t hold back.”
Dante: “You openly admit to breaking the doctrine with your own mouth?”
I couldn’t bring myself to ask if he had a child as well.
Something told me he probably did.
Dante: “I hit the jackpot with that repentance talk for the first time.”
Homer: “Why didn’t you just ignore it?”
Dante: “When did you tell me to protect it? What kind of nonsense is that?”
Homer: “Hey! Don’t you know about flexibility? Flexibility!”
Dante: “Did you forget I got punched for saying that?”
It had been so frustrating and annoying that when I said something similar, I received a fist sandwich after a long time.
Yet here he was, daring to bring up flexibility.
The old man had definitely gone senile.
Homer: “Are you really going to raise her as a nun?”
Dante: “There are related books, so I plan to teach her according to them.”
Homer: “You really are a rigid bastard.”
Dante: “Thanks for the compliment. Rigid men are popular, you know.”
Knock knock.
“P-priest.”
She seemed to have washed faster than expected.
I opened the door without thinking and lost my words.

“Whoa. This one gets a pass even from me.”
“Shut up and send the weapons already!”
Not wanting to hear any more nonsense, I ended the call and turned my gaze to the culprit who had caused the situation.
“Sister.”
“L-Luna.”
“Ha. Sister Luna. What on earth is that outfit?”
The awkwardly worn veil I could overlook.
The problem was what lay beneath.
The Thousand Heavens Sect’s nun habit, divided into top and bottom.
The top was white, and the skirt was slightly slit at the sides for ease of movement.
Instead of a scapular, they wore thin outer garments or coats depending on the season—for the rather spicy reason that they had to be ready to fight at any moment.
“T-this was the largest one available!”
The bottom was fine.
The problem was the enormous bust between her head and lower body.
If the intention had been to direct sniping fire toward the chest, it was such a perfect attempt that the size made the top ride up, resulting in underboob.
The sight of her desperately tugging at the fabric that refused to come down was a spectacle.
“Ha. Follow me.”
“Yes….”
In the end, after retrieving oversized men’s clothes from storage, the problem was solved, but because they were men’s clothes, they inevitably looked awkward on her.
“I’ll request new ones from the main order, so wear those until they arrive.”
“Thank you. But why did you suddenly start speaking formally?”
After folding the overflowing sleeves four times to make them fit, that was all she asked.
“Although you are still in training, you are affiliated with the Thousand Heavens Sect all the same. You have become someone who must be respected, so I am simply doing so. Don’t mind it. And….”
I took out the necklace hidden inside my coat and put it on.
Since she had seen my true appearance, it was necessary to show her this one.
“Uh…?”
“Due to circumstances, I operate in this form within the academy grounds. That aside, how do you handle your blood-sucking urges?”
“It gets better if I catch and eat rats.”
“……”
I had no intention of keeping a nun who tore live rats apart and ate them inside the cathedral.
In the end, I lightly bit the tip of my index finger and drew a drop of blood.
“Try this.”
“Yes?”
Her startled expression resembled a rabbit, but I reminded myself:
The woman before me was the one who had torn apart rats.
“The blood of those who use divine power basically contains divinity, so it is poison to vampires.”
“Uh. Then wouldn’t I die too?”
“Yet those damn mosquitoes target the blood of divine power users whenever they get the chance.”
Possibility and future.
They claimed that one’s potential had to be enough to shake the world before they could be chosen.
Seeing that possessors could awaken divine power, there was clearly some basis to it.
“Sister, you were perfectly fine under the sun. At this level, there’s no risk of death, and on the contrary, if it suits you, it should provide the greatest sense of satiety.”
She hesitated for only a moment.
Carefully grasping my hand, she licked the droplet of blood on the tip of my index finger.
“Hng!?”
Was it poison after all?
“Ha. Haaa…. I-it’s delicious!”
It was an evaluation so strong it made even me glance at my own finger.
Her face had turned bright red; I was slightly curious whether it really tasted that good, but if I let her lick it now just to check, I would definitely be trash.
“Is that enough?”
“Yes….”
“Just in case, if you sneak into my room at night saying you want more, I will stuff you full of bullets without hesitation.”
After the most important warning.
As I showed her around various parts of the cathedral, I also learned Luna’s positive traits.
“You’re quite skilled at housework.”
“I had to survive somehow.”
She had worked as a maid, in pubs, inns—there was nothing she hadn’t done.
Not only laundry and cleaning, but this woman’s cooking skills were also first-rate.
There was nothing particularly special about the dishes, yet she created delicious food without any special ingredients.
“As a Dhampir, what differences do you have from humans or vampires?”
After finishing dinner and before heading out for a night walk, during the remaining time.
Sitting blankly across the table felt awkward, so I decided to confirm everything I could about Dhampirs.
“Being unaffected by sunlight, needing to eat like humans, and not dying easily.”
“……?”
“I fell off a cliff while running from bandits, but I didn’t die….”
“Ah. Um. I see….”
“B-but I’m so happy to have a place to live like this!”
So she had fallen on her way to this city.
In this era, living as a bandit meant there had to be something worth protecting; I thought I should stop by their hideout at least once.
“We’ll observe this gradually. Abilities can awaken as you age.”
“Yes. I-I have a question too!”
“What are you curious about?”
“What is your name!”
She wasn’t a girl confessing a crush—what was with that behavior?
“I’m Dante. Call me whatever is comfortable. It’s fine to use my name inside the cathedral, but don’t say it casually outside.”
“Yes. There’s more, is that okay?”
“As much as you like.”
“Aren’t I pretty…?”
Has this Dhampir lost her mind?
What nonsense was she spouting after eating a proper dinner?
“Insults are rising in my throat, but let’s hear your intention first.”
“M-men always look at me with those kinds of eyes….”
“Well. Certainly.”
Objectively speaking, she was beautiful.
If the empress was a cold beauty and Leona was a puppy-like beauty, the Luna before me was a rabbit.
A rabbit that drank human blood… well, such a thing could exist, but that was the impression.
With her captivating pink hair and eyes, plus the two additional “heads” that would excite most men.
“Do you know what was the most unexpected thing I experienced after becoming an exorcist priest?”
Of course she wouldn’t know, so she shook her head.
“Seduction. After awakening divine power, it stopped, but before that, they all changed their tastes in one way or another and tried to seduce me.”
It was always like that for exorcist priests. Demons and monsters who noticed would throw every kind of temptation at them, and many could not endure and fell.
Especially tragic were the ends of those whose hidden desires were exposed, leading to their corruption.
“Then by any chance…!”
Why was her gaze dropping downward?
“What are you imagining?”
“I-it’s the most certain method, right?”
Was it my imagination that she overlapped with a certain knight department’s exorcist-aspirant…?
“No. I simply grew tired of beauties. Of course, that doesn’t mean I’m more attracted to those who lack aesthetic qualities.”
It was similar to how the mosaic workers eventually became indifferent after seeing too much.
After being bombarded so often, it felt like my brain circuits had broken.
Biologically I confirmed everything functioned properly in the morning, yet whether the woman was a beauty or ugly, there was no reaction.
“It’s a good trait for a priest.”
“Ah….”
I didn’t know why she looked disappointed, but the sun had set completely at the perfect moment.
“Then I’ll be going.”
“Be careful.”
I put on the coat that had been draped over the chair and left the cathedral.
Since I would have to conduct mass again starting tomorrow, I walked with light steps, thinking I would wander moderately unless a major problem arose.
“Hey.”
On the path descending from the cathedral atop the small hill.
At the spot where the ornamental trees cleverly blocked the surrounding view, four familiar faces sprang out.
“Where’s that chief priest bastard?”
The one who appeared to be the leader stepped forward and immediately demanded the guy who had turned to ash and vanished.
“Why are you looking for him?”
If he had any sense, he should have noticed the moment a priest referred to a person as “that bastard,” but apparently he didn’t.
“That crazy new knight academy student bitch burned all the hidden drugs, so we’re trying to restart the business but that bastard’s shadow isn’t even visible!”
Oh. Leona. It’s definitely you without even looking.
What the hell are you doing out there? Let me join in.
Playing with fire is only fun with a group—doing it alone felt a bit lonely.
“Bring him right now. If not, I’ll turn that beggar bitch you brought today into a rag.”
Thud! Crack!
“Kyaaaack!”
I first gave the beast in heat exactly what he needed.
I grabbed the crotch from which things that shouldn’t be flowing were flowing and shoved the collapsing man aside.
“You three over there. If you want to end up like this young lady, raise your hands.”
Brown, yellow, green.
A perfect trio indeed.
