Spectacular from the Start
Still, even if a random encounter or whatever popped up right from the start, warning me it was dangerous and all that.
Common sense told me there was no way the very first thing would be anything that insanely tough...
With that in mind, I shrugged casually, glancing at the barren surface of Planet 5 through the hatch of our space stealth destroyer.
While Illeyna's scanner—supposedly standard on any modern ship—pulled up the data, I leisurely opened the gallery to pick up some info from the other users who'd transmigrated with me.
Of course, since everyone seemed to have started on equal footing, I wasn't expecting any game-changing intel...
But judging from the gallery posts I'd seen earlier, plenty of folks knew the original game inside out, so I figured I'd naturally pick up some useful details.
And sure enough, when I opened the gallery...
Too much info will fry your brain, so here's just the essentials for total noobs landing blind.
Demonia Empire: Our backers. They send support every time we grow.
No matter what you pick, as long as you're not straight-up rebelling against them, they'll back your piracy or whatever. Generous tree that keeps on giving.
Pro tip: Don't pick the resistance options. These guys openly aim to conquer the galaxy. Super strong lol.
Earth Federation: One of the galaxy's top dogs. Poke them and your skull caves in—plus any nearby users get dragged down too. Never attack directly.
There are other minor planetary states, but right now, newbies only need to worry about these two.
Why mention? If you're a branch manager messing around and spot an Earth Fed or Demonia fleet/base nearby? Don't touch it.
More on other factions once we survive. Bye~
'Just as expected. Good for me, though.'
Everyone was buzzing about the original game this and that, building their own wiki-like resources.
Or led by insane veterans with millions of playtime hours, twisting themselves into knots to crank out guides.
Seeing that, I felt safe enough to post my own question about that random encounter event I'd gotten.
But when I actually posted...
It's super early-game, so probably not too hard, right;;
Never played this game before transmigrating, no clue what it is.
Help plz
"What the hell is with these reactions?"
Unlike the usual gallery vibe, they were straight-up freaking out.
I was baffled, utterly confused—but that didn't last.
Soon, the highnic EarthSproutGaiaAssociation (or ESGA for short), who'd written the newbie faction overview, dropped a new post...
Why's it dangerous? Early game is supposed to be tiptoeing between Demonia Empire and Earth Federation, scraping by until you seize the planet and really start.
But Red Catastrophe chain adds alien monster faction on top.
Problem: Not just monsters.
Why red? Red Scourge = space monsters + space commies.
What? Starts as basic space bugs, but once they form a hive mind on-planet, they get smart AF.
They agitate slum-dwellers in cities for strikes, spark fights inside/outside.
Or your loyal lieutenant? Brainwashed Red Scourge spy, backstabs at clutch moment.
Steal your anti-Scourge plans via infiltrators.
Worse, they erode from bottom up—eventually brainwash/infect your direct subs or adjutants.
Hits everyone: planetary gov, Earth Fed branches, even Demonia outposts. Super annoying.
Crush early or you're fucked.
Ironically, late-game when you're strong, easy—just smash with overwhelming force.
Can't? Beg nearby powered-up users for backup.
But everyone still noob trash? RIP.
May you rest in peace.
"What the actual fuck."
"What is it, Doctor?"
"Nya~aaah! Illeyna, we're screwed! I'm dead certain the Red Catastrophe is coming!"
"...Your speech collapsing like that means it's that shocking, huh."
Early-game death sentence—or vegetable state, same diff.
My luck was pure dogshit from the jump. Stomach churning, I shuddered with my mech arms.
