Chapter 1: From Now On, You're the Possessor
So, how the hell do I even begin to describe the situation I'm in right now?
I had a ton I wanted to say, but if I had to sum it up as briefly as possible, it'd be: "sudden possession."
That's too curt, though, so let me flesh it out a bit.
"Choo~ choo~ new game choo~"
That day, like always, I dragged myself back to my cramped studio apartment after work without a second thought.
I'd finally scored a whole week off for once.
I flipped on my computer, planning to do nothing but game all day, no plans, no nothing...
But for some reason, none of my usual games felt fun that day.
No, it wasn't just the regulars.
Even the ones I'd installed but barely touched suddenly felt boring as hell.
Here I was with precious vacation time, and I was just gonna waste it staring at the screen?
Something inside me snapped—a little burst of frustration.
Anyway, that's how it went down, so with this weird mix of boredom and irritation, I figured screw it, time to hunt for a "new game to try."
I started scouring the internet for real.
And it wasn't long before I stumbled on some pretty intriguing info about a game.
"Hmm, kinda intriguing."
This review popped up in a gallery post on a site I had open alongside the game purchase page.
I was already bored out of my mind, so naturally, it piqued my interest.
Finally, I double-checked for sketchy stuff—no hacking tools, no granny nudes, all clear.
Then—
*Ding~*

"Gotta upgrade this PC sometime."
Thanks to that crypto boom bullshit, parts prices were insane, so my old rig's fans were screaming like crazy.
I settled in to wait it out.
But then I got thirsty, figured I'd grab a cola while mods finished and the game booted.
I stood up—
And that's when my monitor, chugging along fine, started flickering like mad and glowing blindingly bright on its own.
Of course, I panicked—"What the fuck, my monitor!"—ditched the cola plan and lunged to grab it.
But then, no flicker—just a massive flash exploding, swallowing my vision...
About a minute later?
Or less, time-wise—everything went pitch black, no, blinding white, nothing visible.
Finally, as my eyes adjusted...
"...???"
I wasn't in my familiar, tiny studio anymore.
This was a huge office?
Or office-plus—weird tanks floating with god-knows-what inside, like straight out of an SF horror game.
Pipes and hoses linked to them, writhing with something slimy, screaming "I'm super dangerous!"
The absurdity hit me hard.
And then—
"Doctor, what are you doing?"
"Huh?"
"You've been pulling all-nighters lately—hitting your brain's limit. Go rest."
"Eek?"
"This time it's bad."
Some woman's voice—my response came out in this childish, sniveling whine.
And right after piecing together everything so far, I glanced at my reflection in a nearby tank...
"Wha—me, like thith?"
"...Narcissism's a problem, so I'll step out."
Snow-white hair contrasting hypnotic pink swirling eyes.
Black horn with pink glow sprouting from my head alongside idiot ahoge.
Under the white lab coat, biomechanical tentacles fused from my back, wriggling out.
A little girl—exactly one of the modpack's example protagonist skins.
Reflected right there.
And to hammer it home...

"Am I going insane?"
The status brazenly announced I'd been isekai'd into the game—and scrapped the questlines I half-remembered.
I was left utterly dumbfounded.
