Chapter 12: So, Roughly How This Damn World Rolls (3)
Of course, that novelty didn't last long.
Once I actually carved out some time to dig through the posts, I started spotting decent info scattered here and there.
And among it all, the most intriguing—and by far the most abundant—stuff was, predictably, the heavy-hitter background lore.
You know, the kind even total noobs like us, fresh off the boat, could spot and go, "Holy shit, this is important."
Tales of the massive factions ruling this world—like the Earth Federation and the Demonia Empire.
Right off the bat, I ran a quick search on the Demonia Empire—the one everyone's treating like our nominal hometown, for better or worse.

"Whoa."
Here we were, barely three days in—nah, entering day four—since we all got isekai'd into this madness, surrounded by sights we'd never dreamed of.
And already, posts were popping up like weeds.
Sure, given the free-for-all posting frenzy, most were worthless drivel, just like that last one I'd skimmed.
But communities being what they are—90% garbage means 10% gold—you could always count on some gems amid the trash.
"Nah, not this one. That's the asshole who posted furry porn pretending it was a Yardlang meme... Ah, there it is."
It didn't take long, flipping through the gallery, before I found what looked like a follow-up strategy post from one of those veteran players—picking up from the one I'd seen a few days back.
Reading it clicked everything into place: why us Demonia Empire affiliates, and other players, were getting warned not to piss off the Earth Federation too openly.
Chitchat's already been dumped in previous posts, so straight to the point here yeah.
Demonia Empire
Up until the emperor two reigns back, this was the superpower that unified the entire galaxy.
That's why they still have branches scattered across the stars—deep roots.
Problem is, the last emperor pulled some epic fuckups, and in just a few decades, the Empire's dominance crumbled.
Then enemies—led by the Earth Federation and assorted nations and alliances—flooded in, turning everything into this clusterfuck.
(Fun fact: Canon-wise, it should've collapsed way harder, but the current emperor purged the old one, his cronies, and the loyalists, then clawed his way to the throne. That halted the total downfall.)
And yeah, it's all setting, but the Empire's dead set on reconquering the stars via gene-modded execs—and those execs are us lol.
Structure's a mess though, so many fires to put out that they can't micromanage regional execs like us.
As long as we deliver results, we're good—hell, they even overlook stuff tantamount to betrayal sometimes, 'cause they can't handle it.
But don't mistake that for the Empire being total pushovers.
"Tantamount to betrayal" ain't the same as actual betrayal, got it?
Especially if you grow enough to build a system-spanning branch, then suddenly go rogue, declare independence, or straight-up turn hostile against Empire personnel?
High chance "Enforcers" and "Enforcer Squads" drop in to smash your skull ㅇㅇ;
Demonia Empire Current Status
Back in the day, undisputed cosmic powerhouse—but the name screams "we were brutal," so enemies everywhere.
Most of that brutality was the last emperor's doing, and after the current one executed him and his gang publicly? No more overt bullshit on the front lines.
Still, our very existence proves they're gunning for world conquest.
Other nations—especially those that broke free during the last emperor's idiocy, now allied up—hate Demonia. Watch your back.
"I see, hmm."
As that vet "Invincible" put it, this was strictly an overview at best.
But even so, it let me preempt a ton of dumb questions to Illeyna or the minions—"What's this? What's that?"—nipping potential headaches in the bud.
Not bad at all; I felt a twinge of satisfaction.
And the real kicker? These vets weren't done dropping lore bombs.
Just scroll the community tab a bit further, and yep—
Game updates tweak shit every patch, so take that into account—but anyway.
TBH, the Earth Federation up top? Not a big deal for newbies rn.
Why? It's endgame content stacked with OP bosses, made for veterans.
Joining means you're picking a fight with Demonia Empire, so you'd need a wildly different build from what we're sharing here. Headache fuel.
So besides Demonia, what to watch?
IMHO, I rec Babel Holy Kingdom or the Atlantis Confederacy of Independent Countries (ACIC).
(Both Demonia enemies by default, FYI.)
Babel Holy Kingdom doesn't care if you're Demonia—they're zealots who'll take anyone friendly to them.
If shit gets rough, leech off Babel for a long, thin survival run.
ACIC's different—go there when you're expanding for real power.
They're Demonia foes too, but it's a loose capitalist mashup of planetary/state govs.
Merc for some factions to grind.
(Each has unique ship trees/specialties, but save that for after you conquer a system.)

"Huh, info that's clear as mud even after reading it."
With all these random facts exploding everywhere, one thing screamed loud: the world we'd dropped into was massive.
To hit world-shaking levels like these vets hinted at? Gonna take serious grind. Mindset locked in.
