It's Ambiguous
Still, one way or another, the self-proclaimed temporary clan had posted their explanation — and with rankers' "guarantees" stamped right on it, no less.
Gallery opinion settled into a general murmur of acceptance: Yeah, with that kind of backing, it's probably legit.
Separately, though, a handful of newbie users were throwing fits about how none of it made sense.

Even if you take a base, you're looking at maybe 100k resources and a few thousand Gold at best
Split that among a thousand people and isn't that literally pocket change per person?
Once it became clear this wasn't actual sniping so much as genuine gallery-style bait born of pure ignorance, a minor incident unfolded: the usual crowd of people permanently screaming "NEWBIES OUT" and the living human wikis who just wanted to explain everything to everyone came flooding in.

Writing this because more people don't know than I expected
Base resource intake works like this: the clan leader who seized the base, or the user docked at the center, gets 100, right?
Then the users docked around them get about 30 to 35
And just in case — any of you bastards thinking "nuh-uh, the base I docked at was different" can go crack your own skulls open and lie down now
In reality, every base has different buffs and different detailed resource numbers from docking
Some give zero resources and hand out Fleet Points instead
Some give Gold only
Some, like Avalon Fortress that blew up last time, are optimized purely for self-defense
And some, like Tannhauser Gate Fortress that's trending right now, are optimized for mobility — there's a ton of variety
Also, the share ratio changes based on the docked base's level
Percentages are relative to the center.
Level 1, you get 50%. Around Level 3, it drops under 40%.
From Level 5 on, it reliably falls to 30% or less
Level 7 and up, it's always under 15%. Yep.
…But while the users were leaving their appropriately understanding little nods of comprehension, the people actually running the "temporary clan" — clan leader Aurora and her inner circle — were thinking something else entirely.
"Look, rankers guaranteed it and all, but once we take the base, what are they gonna do about it?"
"Facts."
"Just stall for like a week after we take it, play dumb, say we need time to prep — once Tannhauser's defense forces finish regenerating, the rankers can go cry about it."
"Hell yeah."
Even with ranker guarantees backing them, the moment they seized the base, their plan was to drag things out with vague excuses about needing time for this and that — then, once Tannhauser's defensive forces finished regenerating, formally found a real clan and start growing in earnest. That was the ambition they were nursing.
Of course, that would mean burning every ranker connection they currently had…
"Honestly, as long as we take Tannhauser, who cares?"
"Worst case, we just ally with Icarus as fellow base-takers."
"Would Icarus even take us?"
"Avalon's right next door — hard for him to refuse… Plus a thousand-man clan making the demand out in the open? You think he'd turn that down?"
"Yeah, fair point."
"Hell yeah."
They'd already decided that taking Tannhauser was worth torching those connections, so it barely registered as a problem.
But while Aurora and her inner circle were busy cooking up their backstab…
They weren't the only ones angling for a double-cross.
It wasn't just the top-tier rankers bracing for Aurora's betrayal. The other guarantors had also planted traitors inside the temporary clan — partly as insurance against a backstab, and partly so they could snatch the base for themselves.
The plan: the second Aurora tried to formally found a real clan, they'd trigger an internal schism on the spot.
And finally…
And so a portion of the internal traitors planted by the rankers and guarantors were burning with the will to backstab both Aurora and the guarantors — and take the base for themselves.
