Return to Daily Life(?) (2)
For the first time in what felt like forever, the command center wasn't drowning in warning alarms from the crack of dawn.
Instead, I got to sip the coffee our black rabbit Jessica had brewed for me and leisurely flip through reports.
Yeah. Every now and then, you need a peaceful stretch of days like this.
With that thought, once Jessica finished her briefing, I checked the daily quest completion messages from our superhumans and the fleet the way I always did, slurped up the rewards—and, determined to protect this hard-won calm, decided not to open the gallery today. Just a little quiet time.
And at that very same moment, inside the gallery Icarus wasn't looking at, the rage-posts of newbies he'd thoroughly demolished were rolling in nonstop…
Rank 3 dude's fleet looked like absolute garbage for whatever reason so I went full send and rammed straight in
then out of nowhere his strike craft teleport in and dive-bomb my fleet with bombs, missiles, and torpedoes and just obliterate everything
I had five fucking AA cruisers and it didn't matter — they popped in directly overhead so there was zero reaction time
and however much XP he's stacked, his strike craft evasion is cracked compared to other players so they just don't get hit
I somehow tanked it and kept pushing and then this giant space monster and a battlecruiser start beaming my fleet into paste
figured okay this guy went all-in on capital ships
so I'm dodging the strike craft and trying to close the gap when suddenly like dozens of merc fleets spawn in and just eat my entire force
bro my fucking battlecruiser!!!!!!
you! absolute! bastard!!!!!!

howr the strike craft even getting there like that
bug? hacks?
is the ranker hacking? how do i report this to the admins?
Some of the veterans, unable to sit through any more of the newbies' whining, started dropping fleet analysis posts on Icarus and a handful of other players. In hindsight, that was the natural next step.

The old-timers, finally done putting up with the newbies' crying, drew their knives and settled in to savor a full dissection…
But the moment the analysis actually started, it became clear piece by piece that the fleets belonging to Icarus and a few other veterans were anything but ordinary. Before long, the gallery's hot takes stopped being analysis at all and turned into a wall of pure awe.

and going by what that post actually said — "giant ship shooting cannons AND running strike craft" — this isn't even a normal carrier
don't you need a Level 9+ base and hundreds of thousands of minerals just to build one of these?

Kraken-class
It's a full-on assault combat carrier — the kind of thing you only see in late-game clan wars
go read the wiki tab yourself for the full details
the important part is that even if it's not the best in giant fleet fights, in 1v1 PvP between players this thing is basically the most disgusting ship in the game
that newbie earlier was crying about strike craft teleport being a bug
that's a unique feature of this ship — it teleports strike craft or missiles right in front of the enemy fleet for ambushes
anyway I'm so fucking jealous, to pull one of these you have to crack open a space chrysalis that monsters drop sometimes and hit a 0.0001% drop rate

are you fucking kidding me
