True Masochist Hongryeon Assassin Ellis, and Luis Too – Hongryeon: Paradise for the Strange?
"Not bad."
I muttered softly upon arriving at Ronald Count's mansion. The overall impression was one of neatness. The flowers in the front garden bloomed beautifully, and the marble exterior of the mansion gleamed cleanly.
But there was just one flaw.
The security is lax.
No one appeared even as I stood right in the middle of the mansion grounds. If I'd come as an assassin to kill Ronald, he wouldn't be long for this world.
"I'll need to be cautious."
Clack, clack.
I crossed the garden toward the mansion's main entrance. No one stopped me the entire way.
Creak!
As I entered the mansion, the servants stared at me in stunned silence.
"M-Minister Morris?"
"Where is Ronald Count?"
"H-He's in the reception room right now."
"Got it."
No one dared block me as I strode through the mansion. I roughly shoved open the door to the reception room, where Ronald was admiring some clothes.
"Hmm, the design on this one is a bit... Huh? Minister Morris?"
"What are you doing right now?"
"I was making deals with various nobles..."
"Sigh, looks like you still haven't grasped the situation."
"What's going on?"
Ronald blinked at me in confusion.
"I'd appreciate it if you cleared the room."
I pointed at the tailor fitting his clothes and the butler.
"Could you step out for a moment?"
At Ronald's signal, the attendants scattered like the tide.
Once I sensed everyone had left, I spoke.
"I've received word that the emperor is targeting all the new noble faction nobles."
"Really? If he's targeting us, how?"
"Assassination."
Ronald's eyes widened at my words.
"The emperor is... going to assassinate us?"
"Yes."
"Isn't that insane?"
"It's politically obvious, isn't it? Cut them off before they grow stronger."
That's why the emperor plans to assassinate the nobles.
"Who are the targets?"
I silently stared at Ronald Count. He nodded, understanding from my gaze alone.
"Me, huh."
"You included, most of the influential neutral nobles who've joined the new noble faction are targets."
"Who's coming?"
"Hongryeon Group."
"Haa... The empire's top assassin guild. We're as good as dead."
"You won't die. I'm here now."
Ronald was the leader of the new noble faction. He was the one who needed to hold it together until I stepped forward fully. I couldn't lose him easily.
"What about the others?"
"Emily will handle them somehow. We'll do our best to protect our people."
But we couldn't save everyone. There were limits to who could stop Hongryeon.
"Is it okay for you to come here in person like this?"
I nodded instead of answering. Protecting Ronald directly was something I could handle myself. That's why I'd prepared for it.
The pitch-black night was so dark not even moonlight pierced the streets.
Ellis, Michelle, and Rachel moved silently, their footsteps inaudible.
Ronald Count's mansion.
Confirming the target, Ellis signaled her comrades with hand signs.
-No guards in sight. Scale the wall and infiltrate.
The two nodded. The situation felt off to Ellis.
Too quiet.
Her master, Morris, hadn't contacted her. Even after she'd sent the message about the emperor assassinating key noble faction members, he hadn't given her any instructions.
Is something wrong?
Or worse.
Has he abandoned me?
Anxiety gnawed at her. But she couldn't act without orders. To follow Morris's command to keep working for Hongryeon, she'd come to assassinate Ronald.
If things went wrong.
I might have to kill my comrades myself.
She gripped her sword in reverse grip.
-Moving in now.
Ellis signaled Michelle and Rachel to proceed. The two assassins nodded and scaled the wall.
Confirming they'd gone over, Ellis followed.
"Hup."
No sounds as they crossed. No enemies on alert nearby.
Ellis scanned both sides. No obvious traps.
N-No way... Did Minister Morris miss this?
Did the intel leak midway? A chill ran down her spine.
And then.
Zing!
A eerie, ear-grating sound sliced the air, followed by a flash of light.
Ellis looked right. Michelle, headless, staggered and collapsed.
Thud.
Seeing Michelle fall without a scream, Ellis and Rachel's eyes bulged.
"Good movement, but poor entry point."
A chilling voice that squeezed her heart echoed in Ellis's ears. A voice she'd longed to hear again.
Ellis collapsed to her knees at the sound.
"Lady Ellis?"
Rachel stared at the kneeling Ellis. But Ellis's eyes weren't on her.
A tall man emerged slowly from the shadows. The empire's Magic Department Minister, the strongest mage. Morris.
"Ah, aaah..."
Why is Minister Morris here?
But Ellis couldn't form proper words.
Rachel, beside her, eyes wide in shock, hurriedly drew her weapon.
But before she could swing the razor-sharp dagger.
A beam of light pierced Rachel's body.
She tried resisting with mana.
But Morris's magic was beyond her.
"Eh?"
Heart pierced, Rachel spewed blood and fell.
"Aaah..."
Even her voice failed her.
Crunch.
Crunch.
"Your reflexes have improved a lot."
Ellis trembled violently at the thick killing intent radiating from Morris. Overwhelmed by terror gripping her body and the simultaneous thrill, she couldn't stay composed.
She pissed herself right there on the ground.
She'd felt a similar sensation once before. Yes. Stronger than the deathly fear when Morris first learned her identity and glared at her.
Her breath caught. She might die not by his hand, but from suffocation.
Ellis couldn't flee or stand.
"Why are you here?"
"I-I-I-It’s..."
"Planning to betray me?"
"N-No! Absolutely not! Th-The message I sent..."
She frantically waved her hands in denial.
"Quiet."
"H-Hngh!"
I knew she hadn't betrayed me. But the reason I pushed Ellis this far was simple.
To satisfy her special tastes.
I looked down at Ellis, collapsed on the ground.
"Heh, hehehe... S-Sorry."
Tears welled in her terrified eyes, but her lips curled into a grin.
Yes. She was smiling. Enjoying this situation where she might die.
"Feels good?"
"Eh...?"
"Enough fun. Get up."
"P-Pardon?"
"I said get up."
I was the one who'd sent Ellis here. Through Luis, I'd positioned her for this.
To block Ronald's assassination with my own hands.
I needed someone to falsely testify to this scene. That Ronald's guard knight had killed the two assassins with her.
"W-Wait a second."
Ellis, piecing it together through her dazed mind, spoke up.
She tried to stand, wobbling.
Her legs trembled too much.
"Talk from there."
I knelt to meet her eyes.
"Did that bitch Luis send me here on purpose?"
For a fleeting moment, venom flashed in her eyes.
"I ordered it."
"Pardon?"
"I told Luis to send you here."
"Why on earth?"
"Go back and report to Luis that you got done in by Ronald's guard knight."
Ellis's pupils shook as our eyes met.
"N-No way... This was planned with Leader Luis from the start?"
"We were in contact."
Unlike Ellis, a mere Hongryeon member, Luis was the leader—and had private audiences with the emperor.
If asked who was more useful here, obviously Luis over Ellis.
"But why didn't you contact me...?"
Why no word to her? I'd deliberately recalled her to the palace and never messaged her since. Intentional.
I figured indifference would hit Ellis harder. The perfect way to dominate someone who craved submission.
"Do I need to waste effort on trash like you?"
My icy tone sent shivers down her spine.
She flinched at my words.
"H-Haaah..."
Ellis's expression melted as our eyes locked.
Correct.
She shuddered, bowing her head. No underwear—her nipples poked through her clothes.
"Did you skip underwear expecting something?"
"N-No, for better mobility..."
"You think I'd actually take a slut like you?"
"Eh, eh?"
"Don't expect that from trash like you. Just obey my orders."
I'd had zero intention of touching her lately. But even this treatment satisfied her—she nodded.
"Yes... Understood, Minister Morris."
Ellis gazed up at the condescending Morris, mouth agape.
Unable to move from limp legs, under his cold stare, he loomed gigantic.
In that overwhelming presence, she realized how insignificant she was.
To Morris, she was less than an ant.
Aah, Minister Morris.
Being used like this feels good. Treat me harshly. Like trash—no, worse.
But Morris didn't go further.
Yet that alone was enough for Ellis to climax. His thick killing intent, strength, presence.
Seeing Morris, her heart raced. Vision blurred in extreme arousal.
I looked down at Ellis, who seemed to tremble while staring into empty space.
Luis, aroused by stimulating pleasure nerves in her head.
Ellis, the ultimate masochist who found true joy in domination.
Does Hongryeon only recruit weird women?
It's an assassin group that kills people, so maybe inevitable.
I convinced myself. Those two women I'd just killed were probably loose screws too.
"So watch closely."
"Yes, don't worry. Minister Morris, I'll carry it out perfectly."
Her trembling body didn't inspire confidence, but she was useful.
Now, I just hoped she'd return and fool the emperor with Luis.
Wait and see.
