Just Want to Punch Her Once
The collab with Ritsu went ahead as scheduled.
Yeah, we're gonna keep seeing each other anyway, so cowering in fear wouldn't solve a damn thing.
I set up the stream, hopped into the voice chat first. Muted my mic, hit go live.
[Hanako Neru is now live! - Getting Close with Ritsu Sunbae]
I could see that Ritsu had just gone live too.
[Kurose Ritsu is now live! - Date with Neru~]
Why the hell is her title like that? Now it looks like I'm the one keeping distance.
I agonized over it, then changed my title.
[Log Date with Ritsu Sunbae…]
The viewers caught it instantly, and the chat started flooding with teases.
I fired up my virtual avatar and shot back right away.
"Ah, no, it's not like that! I really like Ritsu sunbae!"
Sigh. No one believes me, huh.
Ritsu's RP is supposed to be a saintess, but apparently it's basically nonexistent now. She said it's too hard to keep up, so she gave up ages ago.
That's when Ritsu joined voice chat, so I unmuted.
"S-Sunbae. Hello…"
"Yeah yeah, saw you yesterday and here we are again? Why the stutter? Am I making you uncomfortable?"
"No, it's not that…"
"Ahaha, just kidding."
I keep getting dragged into her pace. Ugh, this isn't good.
But her teasing(?) kept going.
"Neru! Help me out here quick!"
"Y-Yes!"
"Grab some more grenades. My bag's full."
"Huh? Weren't there enemies?"
"Nope?"
She'd call me urgently, but it was always something ridiculous.
Or…
"Neru! Behind you!!"
"Kyaa?!"
"Nah, just kidding~"
Unbelievable. I swear she wasn't this type.
She seemed to be having way too much fun messing with me.
"Eek…"
The viewers were eating it up. In my mind, Ritsu's image was shifting from scary senior to weird senior who loves teasing me.
She'd toss flashbangs while we farmed at home, or make gun sounds to scare me—always toeing the line without crossing it.
When I tried the same pranks back, she'd clap back just as hard, so I couldn't even get mad.
"Uuu… weirdo…"
"Ufufut, weirdo? This is all your fault for being so cute."
"Kyaa! That laugh just now was total perv!"
"Uhihihihi."
Well, whatever. The teasing was easing the awkwardness for sure. Viewers loved it too. I knew it came from wanting to get close, so I played along with all of it.
Then farming went well, the circle positioned great—we had a real shot at chicken dinner.
We claimed a two-story house, and enemies had to come to us.
Victory in sight, Ritsu dropped the jokes and got serious.
"Car coming from 240°. Looks like they want this house!"
"Okaay~"
Rat-tat-tat-tat—!
Ritsu sprayed the incoming car. Meanwhile, I lined up a grenade shot.
Boom—!
Duo bailed from the crashed car against the wall. They popped medkits…
"Nope, not today."
3, 2… I timed it perfect and lobbed the grenade.
Kaboom—!
Perfect trajectory!
The duo ate it for a double kill.
Honestly, even with AI analysis, my aim hadn't improved. Recoil control was still my weak hands.
So I ran sniper rifle and shotgun—one each. Low ammo, easier to land than rifles.
Bag space filled with heals, frags, smokes.
"Sunbae, gonna drop and farm."
"Sure~ Grab some 7.62 if you see it."
Farmed two deathboxes, headed back up. Delivered her 7.62 ammo.
"Just your party left now. Gunfire in the distance…"
Safety circle had shrunk tight. Squint and you could spot other survivors.
Only two houses for cover in that tiny zone: our two-story and a small one-story.
Fight raging in that one-story now.
Eight players left including us. Two parties (four players) duking it out there, so we watch the last party.
"Hmm, prone in some bushes maybe…?"
Nothing visible yet. Scoped with sniper like binoculars, spotted something peeking from a small tree.
"That an enemy…?"
Test shot—red hit effect.
"Sunbae, last party's behind that small tree north. Pretty far though."
"Huh? Hmm… I can't see 'em."
"I'll keep pinning 'em."
Sniper poke forces 'em out. They dodge my shots on the move, prone behind a tiny rock.
"Oh ho. Prone right in front of me?"
Ping said ~100m. From my second-floor perch, jump-throw might just reach.
"Pin out and lob—gooo!!"
Pulled pin, calculated arc perfect, chucked it.
"Neru player, three-poiint shoooooot!!"
Fwoooom—!!
UNV_neru 💣 Illiilllilllil
"Nice!"
One downed, same arc again—second frag seals the party wipe, even their teammate trying to revive.
"Nice, Neru~ Looks like that other fight's over too."
One-story cleared, now 2v2.
Final circle shrinking—no cover for anyone soon.
Downed an energy drink, prepped for endgame.
"Sis, ammo good?"
"Yup. Where to?"
"Fighting behind that small rock looks good."
The rock from the party I grenaded.
We moved without hesitation. Circle forced us, sniper poke incoming.
Prone at deathbox, loot up.
"Ooh, they got tons of grenades."
"For real? Lemme toss some too!"
My loaded frags? Seven whole ones.
Positions rough-locked. Time to bomb 'em.
"Fire in the hole!!!!!"
"Dodge this!!"
My range calcs had 'em scrambling. Ritsu picked off the movers dodging grenades.
We won! Chicken for dinner tonight!
We clutched the final round.
"Nice!"
"Sunbae, that was great."
"Our synergy's on point, huh?"
Ended Log on a win, but it felt too soon to stop.
"Ahh, that was fun."
"Part 2, another game?"
"Duh. I got one lined up."
She sent a link: $5 co-op game where you roll a log together to the goal.
"…We clearing this today?"
"Of course. Our perfect chemistry? Easy clear. Playtime's only like 3 hours."
Doable? Doubtful, but bought and launched.
Trash graphics, janky controls. Of course she picked a dogshit game.
My char left side of log, hers right. Balance through obstacles to goal.
"Hmm, doesn't look too hard."
"Co-op games are all like that."
My cocky words? Regretted in exactly 3 minutes.
Ass controls, tiny legs scurrying on log—pathetic.
"Sunbae! Back up! Gotta turn right!"
"I'm going! No, now I'm dying!"
Our teamwork sucked ass. Log synergy was a fluke.
Basic right turn had us struggling. First checkpoint? Dream on.
"Sunbae, you never driven?!"
"No license."
"Ugh."
Somehow cleared the turn. Log bridge ahead—balance critical.
"Sunbae! Tiny steps here! Get it?"
"Can't we just W through?"
"Wha—? No, stop I said!!"
I froze, she W-held—log yawed left. Had to W too.
Log tilted left, right, barely crossed.
Checkpoint passed, no respawn needed.
"See? Told ya."
"…"
It worked, but pissed me off. Just wanna punch her once.
Not that I'd win. Probably get wrecked.
After that… details omitted.
Two hours of bickering, then adapted—cleared in average 3-hour playtime.
"Whew, exhausting…"
"Neru, good work today~ See you at scrims tomorrow!"
"Yup. You too, sunbae."
And so, the collab with Kurose Ritsu wrapped up successfully.
