Kallisa (2)
The constellation of dragons was special. From its very birth, it carried the clear will of the stars, unlike any other constellation. Light and darkness. Good and evil. Its mission was to stand at the center, upholding the strongest order against the invading chaos.
Kallisa was sick of it all.
"Eternal night, the most valiant and glorious seat. Dragon among dragons, their incarnation whispers to Kallisa."
"A seat meant only for you, to succeed me."
‘.....’
Countless stars twinkled into view. The auras of constellations holding the fate of the world—brilliant and noble. Any ordinary being would feel awe, but Kallisa felt no interest in them.
She had been forced into countless battles simply for being born. Kallisa had a hobby of appreciating the flow of life, something more serene and peaceful, but the Lord of Dragons dismissed it as misguided.
"There is no defeat for a dragon."
Even after experiencing one grand defeat, the Lord of Dragons spoke as if that shame had been erased from its mind. Yeah, maybe. Kallisa's rebellious feelings might stem from that day's endless, grueling battle.
"Stay here."
‘Y-yes...? But my kin—’
"You don't need to step forward."
Her kin were dying right before her eyes, yet she watched from the safest cradle. Kallisa couldn't understand the intentions of the dragon constellation until then. The invading force was the cult of that being called the "Father God," rapidly expanding its power. As the rumors said—and as she saw with her own eyes—their priests wielded tremendous divine power.
A red-haired human priestess rampaging like a beast across the battlefield. A horrific vampire cloaked in death, firing new attacks with the blood of fallen dragons. And other powerful devotees defiling the dragon sanctuary.
Kallisa watched all the destruction they wrought. And as time passed, her constellation—the Lord of Dragons, always the victor—became the defeated. It forcibly contracted with their constellation and offered Kallisa up.
On the day the contract was fulfilled, Kallisa felt a strange detachment from herself.
‘...It doesn't bother me at all.’
The presence of the constellation within her vanished, replaced by another divine power filling the void. Her life had been upended, forcing a new chapter, but what she felt wasn't sorrow or fear—it was a sense of liberation.
Due to this devotee's trait, grants high divine power resistance!
Name: Kallisa

"I'll come get you back, no matter what."
The Lord of Dragons, the strongest dragon constellation—and the most noble dragon it had crafted itself, like a daughter—vowed as she departed.
"Kallisa."
The Lord of Dragons firmly believed she would return someday. Even if she had merely entered the arms of that detestable one for now.
But.
‘My most mighty lord.’
Kallisa loved her current situation far too much.
‘I'm sorry. I like it here more.’
The Father God's embrace had everything: freedom, peace, love, and anything else Kallisa desired. The exhausting role of constantly raging and proving her might didn't suit her at all.
‘I like this place. I cherish the Father God deep in my heart.’
But she couldn't voice it clearly. It was her final consideration and affection toward the Lord of Dragons, who had cared for her all this time. Her past life had been suffocating, but she wasn't heartless enough to ignore the grace shown to her.
And so.
Due to a blessing from a higher-ranked constellation, 'High Dragon's Protection' is replaced with 'Father God's Ward'.
The last remnant left like a curse upon Kallisa was overwritten by her beloved's power.
“......”
In the darkness, the woman's consciousness, deeply submerged, slowly floated up at someone's call. Even under the dream-manipulating constellation that should have kept her asleep forever, Kallisa's innate trait—and the miraculous resonance from her constellation's divine power—responded.
The constellation 'Lord of Dragons' interferes with devotee 'Kallisa'!
Devotee 'Kallisa' uses skill 'Polymorph'.
-Crunch!
A minor permission granted, and the transformation occurred. She shed her alluring human body like a husk and returned to her original form.
-...Ah.
Ignoring the detestable sigh from somewhere, Kallisa followed the ecstatic energy and looked up at the sky.
A man was there. An appearance so captivating it could melt you just by looking. No special ornaments adorned his body, but his mere presence dominated the atmosphere.
‘Ahh...!’
Kallisa was certain. That man was undoubtedly the Father God she had longed for.
-GRRROOOAAARRR!!
In overwhelming joy, she instinctively let out a mighty roar with all her strength.
Sudden Event Occurred!
Would you like to move to the location?
The moment I permitted the polymorph, the status window popped up, and I responded immediately.
-....
“What're you doing?”
-What...
“Found Kallisa. You coming or not?”
-...!
Coming!
“Then at least release the possession, or shrink down a bit.”
She wasn't advertising to the neighborhood—what did she plan to do with that size? At my words, the Lord of Dragons promptly reshaped its body.
-This should do.
“Way better than before.”
The revealed form was a golden lizard about the size of my upper body. Satisfied, I answered the status window's prompt.
Exiting the sanctuary...
While waiting for the brief loading time, a notification appeared in the message window.
⊳ Ron: What's what?
⊳ Avatar of the Black Sun: You're doing something utterly insane right now...
⊳ Heir of the Lost Star: Black Sun.
⊳ Avatar of the Black Sun: ...What.
⊳ Heir of the Lost Star: Don't you dare presume to fathom the Absolute's will.
Too annoying to reply, so the star kids handled the Black Sun's doubts for me.
‘Nice timing.’
These things are best revealed at the highlight anyway.
⊳ Ron: Providence.
⊳ Heir of the Lost Star: Ooh, ooooh...!!
‘What? Why's it freaking out now?’
I ignored the star kids suddenly spamming the chat and glanced at the Black Sun, lost in shock.
‘That's why you gotta enjoy it.’
The situation was escalating to a mad scale, roping in a heavyweight constellation and a mastermind one together.
-GRRROOOAAARRR!!
‘Whoa.’
Loading complete, and we arrived on site. I paused, taking in Kallisa's dragon form after so long. Gone was the stunning beauty; now a massive dragon roaring with violent physicality.
-That's her! Kallisa!
The Lord of Dragons flapped its tiny wings beside me, thrilled. Total proud parent.
‘Yeah. Hang on a sec.’
I tamped down my pounding excitement and waved to Kallisa. I also didn't forget to dispel her status ailment with a skill.
Advanced Blessing cast on devotee 'Kallisa'!
-Kieeeek...!
A sinister scream echoed from somewhere.
‘Still hanging around, huh.’
Definitely the presence of some constellation that hadn't fully detached from Kallisa. I immediately pulled a suitable item from my inventory.
Equipping 'Lens of Truth'.
Sunglasses-shaped. When worn, it reveals hidden constellations' identities.
⊳ Avatar of the Black Sun: I sense a weird energy...
I didn't reply—instead, I showed them. Cool shades settling over my eyes.
And—
【Eternal Luller】
“Here comes my dopamine.”
The hidden constellation's name began to appear.
