The Shadow of Suspicion
On a quiet night, the silhouettes of a man and a woman were intertwined on a dark bench. Park Mina was straddling Lee Han, moving her body as quietly as she could. But the more she tried, the more the rough gasps and wet, rhythmic sounds echoed through the stillness of the night.
Lee Han gripped Park Mina’s hips tightly, thrusting his waist with intensity. Every time he drove himself deep inside her, her inner walls spasmed, tightening around him. The pleasure was so sharp it felt like a blade cutting into her flesh; Park Mina wanted to scream, but she bit her lip, forcing the sound down.
However, as Lee Han’s pace quickened, it became harder to hold back. With her lips bitten and eyes brimming with tears, Park Mina finally reached her limit and clamped a hand over her mouth. Overwhelmed by a tidal wave of ecstasy, she let out a muffled cry and collapsed onto Lee Han’s chest.
"Ah... haa... mmm..."
Park Mina’s waist, which had been rising and falling at a frantic pace, shuddered violently before losing all strength and going limp. As if all the energy had been drained from her body, she lay there, gasping for air, still drenched in the afterglow of their climax.
When Park Mina’s inner walls tightened around him one last time, reaching her peak, Lee Han could no longer hold back either. Swept up in the urge to release, he pulled her into a tight embrace. His fingers dug into her skin, driven by the explosive pleasure.
The two bodies, which had been convulsing for a long time, slowly began to calm. Yet, the heat that had not yet faded continued to scorch their skin. Beads of sweat from their lingering passion coated their bodies.
Breathing heavily, Park Mina buried her face in the crook of Lee Han’s neck and went limp. Lee Han cradled her, stroking her back as she lost all her strength. Her ragged breath tickled his ear.
They remained silent, feeling each other’s warmth and reflecting on the ecstatic moment they had just shared. The heartbeat and breathing echoing in their ears, the sensation of cold sweat tickling their skin, and the lingering aftershocks that wrapped around their bodies.
Park Mina carefully lifted her hips, pulling away from their union. A sultry moan escaped her lips at the feeling of the fullness slipping away.
Kneeling between Lee Han’s legs, Park Mina gently peeled off his condom with her fingertips. Then, she lowered her head and took his member deep into her mouth.
As her soft tongue licked his sensitive areas, Lee Han let out a low groan. Park Mina meticulously cleaned his now-limp member with her lips. She closed her eyes, seemingly enraptured by the taste and scent of Lee Han that filled her mouth.
After swallowing every last drop, Park Mina looked up at Lee Han with a tender smile. A faint smile spread across Lee Han’s lips as he looked down at her. He gently cupped her cheek with his palm and muttered.
"Well done."
Lee Han opened his arms, and Park Mina willingly accepted the invitation, burrowing into his broad chest.
"I love you..."
Even at her whispered confession, Lee Han remained silent, still wearing that enigmatic smile. In the darkness of the early summer night, the still-chilly air was cooling their heat.
After lingering for a moment in the afterglow of their climax, the two sat side by side, leaning against the cold bench and enjoying the night air. Lee Han had one arm wrapped around Park Mina’s shoulder, staring off into the distance. Then, he suddenly turned his head and spoke to her.
"By the way, Mina... what was your impression of that Lee Hyunwoo fellow you met today?"
Park Mina hesitated for a moment at the sudden question, but soon replied.
"Well... I mean, he’s handsome. But I didn't really feel like he had any particular defining traits."
She added playfully,
"Besides, with looks like that, doesn't he get a pass on having a unique personality?"
Lee Han chuckled at her joke, then immediately tossed out another question.
"Then what about his attitude or behavior? What kind of vibe did you get?"
Park Mina thought for a moment before answering.
"Hmm... very polite and well-mannered, I suppose?"
At those words, Lee Han furrowed his brow as if lost in deep thought. Park Mina wondered why he was acting that way, but she didn't bother to press him. Instead, she burrowed deeper into his arms, closing her eyes as she felt his warmth.
Unlike the cold, harsh world around them, Lee Han’s chest was cozy and warm. Intoxicated by that heat, Park Mina was able to forget all the worries and troubles of reality, if only for a moment. In this very instant, Lee Han was her only source of comfort.

Kim Eunju sat on the living room sofa, staring blankly into space. Over the past few days, the anxiety that had taken root in a corner of her heart had grown by the hour, until it felt as if it were consuming her entire being. The seed of that anxiety had been planted just a few days ago, by the unfamiliar scent clinging to her husband Lee Hyunwoo’s clothes.
At first, she tried to brush it off. She told herself it was just the smell of a new fabric softener, or perhaps perfume from a female colleague that had rubbed off on him. But as the situation repeated itself, Kim Eunju’s suspicions deepened. 'Could Lee Hyunwoo be cheating on me?'
She would often startle herself at the question that flickered through her mind. No, that wouldn't happen between us. Lee Hyunwoo would never do that. It’s just my imagination. But no matter how much she tried to reassure herself, the shadow of anxiety would not fade.
What was even more agonizing was Lee Hyunwoo’s attitude. He was still as affectionate and open as ever. There was no sign of him hiding anything. Just as she felt relieved by his composure, thinking, 'It must be my imagination after all,' the suspicion would rear its head again: 'Isn't it even stranger that he's acting like nothing's wrong?'
Kim Eunju hesitated for a long time even after drawing a bath. Standing before the mirror, she sighed and headed toward the closet. But even in front of the closet, she just paced back and forth, unable to settle her mind. The shadow of anxiety seemed to loom around her as she wandered the room.
Suddenly, the sound of a baby crying echoed through the room. Kim Eunju smoothed her startled heart and rushed to the baby. Feeding the baby, changing diapers, and singing lullabies, Kim Eunju finally seemed to find a moment of peace. But that was short-lived; at the sound of the front door opening, her pupils trembled.
Lee Hyunwoo had returned. As she faced him, the colors of suspicion and anxiety clouded Kim Eunju’s eyes once more.

Kim Eunju was pushing a stroller along the walking path within the apartment complex. The warm sunlight wrapping around her face felt pleasant, but the stifling feeling in her heart wouldn't go away. Sitting on a bench, pushing the stroller slowly back and forth, Kim Eunju let out a deep sigh.
Inside the stroller, the baby was already fast asleep. Looking at her son sleeping soundly with an angelic face, she couldn't help but smile, but she was soon engulfed in worry again.
'Am I being too sensitive? Am I making Hyunwoo’s life difficult with my baseless suspicions?'
Just as she was trying to pull herself together, she looked up at the sound of someone approaching.

"Hello, Eunju. Out for a walk?"
The person greeting her with a bright smile was none other than Lee Han. He peered into the stroller and beamed.
"This little one is sleeping so well. He really is like an angel."
Lee Han’s warm gaze seemed to soften Kim Eunju’s heart just a little.
"Yes, he’s been eating and sleeping well lately. Watching him sleep like this is so healing."
"The more I look at him, the more handsome he gets. He could be a celebrity one day."
Lee Han exchanged a brief look with the baby, then naturally changed the subject.
"The weather has gotten so hot. It’s almost suffocating. You shouldn't overdo it while walking with the baby, Eunju."
"Yes, thank you for your concern. I’m planning to stay indoors when it’s this hot."
Even as she said that, Kim Eunju was grateful for Lee Han’s kindness. Lee Han sent a warm gaze toward her as she smiled and thanked him. However, as if under a spell, Kim Eunju failed to catch the strange shadow that flickered in Lee Han’s eyes.
Lee Han sat on the bench and began to chat with Kim Eunju. From stories about the apartment complex to advice on raising children, the two seemed to grow closer naturally.
"Eunju, if you ever have any trouble or need help, please let me know anytime. As the apartment manager, it’s the Chairman’s instruction that I provide as much convenience as possible to the residents."
Kim Eunju smiled brightly at Lee Han’s kind words.
"Thank you so much. It’s reassuring to hear you say that. I’ll be sure to reach out if I need anything."
Just as the two were continuing their conversation with bright smiles, someone could be seen walking from afar. The person who approached was none other than Han Sujin.
"Oh, Eunju, fancy meeting you here. Hello, Lee Han."
Unlike Han Sujin, who greeted them with a grin, Lee Han’s expression had stiffened subtly. Kim Eunju, completely oblivious to the strange tension passing between the two, greeted Han Sujin warmly.
Soon, Lee Han stood up from his seat.
"I hope you have a pleasant time. I’m afraid I have to return to my duties. I’ll see you next time."
After Lee Han left, Han Sujin sat down next to Kim Eunju. While sending loving glances at the baby in the stroller, Han Sujin’s gaze often seemed to drift toward the direction Lee Han had disappeared. But soon, she forced a smile and focused her attention on Kim Eunju.
"Is our baby sleeping? He really is like an angel. How have you been lately, Eunju?"
As the two women talked, a cheerful atmosphere lingered around the bench. But behind that cheerfulness, an invisible dark shadow was cast. Han Sujin’s anxious eyes seemed to hide something, and there were secrets hidden in the back of Lee Han as he walked away. And Kim Eunju, who was smiling brightly without noticing any of it. An invisible tension was swirling around the three of them.
