The Last Bargain
Han Sujin stood in the kitchen, lost in deep contemplation. The conversation she’d had with her husband, Park Taeyoung, a few days ago kept circling in her mind. His earnest suggestion that they should seriously consider having a child pricked at a corner of her heart.
In her hand, she clutched a pack of birth control pills. She stared at the small, daily tablet, hesitating. Should she swallow it, or not? Her mind was a tangled mess of encroaching thoughts.
"Maybe... if we have a child... everything might change."
With a heavy sigh, Han Sujin tucked the pills back into the bottle and shoved it into the drawer. Moments later, she picked up her phone and dialed the clinic. Her voice trembled as she booked an appointment with the gynecologist.
After hanging up, she slumped into a chair, feeling utterly drained. Was this okay? Was the choice she’d made truly the right one? What did it even mean to have a child? Fear and excitement swirled together, clouding her heart.
A moment later, the sudden chime of the doorbell made her heart drop into her stomach. Scowling, she checked the intercom screen before heading to the front door. With cautious hands, she gripped the handle and slowly pulled the door open.
She hesitated for a heartbeat, then gathered her courage and swung the door wide. The person standing there was none other than Lee Han.
Lee Han strode into her home with a sly, knowing smirk plastered on his face. Han Sujin’s brow furrowed at his brazen behavior, but she didn’t bother to stop him. She knew it would be useless.
Lee Han headed straight for the living room and flopped onto the sofa as if he owned the place. Perhaps because of the heat or a dry throat, he demanded that Han Sujin bring him a glass of water. Sighing, she had no choice but to head to the kitchen.
As she poured the water, her mind raced. She’d let her guard down because he hadn’t been in touch for a while. What was he going to demand now? Gritting her teeth, she returned to the living room and handed him the glass.
"Aigoo, it’s so hot today. I nearly died just being outside," Lee Han said, making small talk as if nothing were wrong. Han Sujin stood still, not even bothering to reply.
"You’ve got some nerve. After everything you caused..." she snapped, unable to hold it in any longer. Lee Han just chuckled sheepishly and bowed his head.
"I’m sorry. I just came because I missed you, Sujin. Was I too much?"
Han Sujin’s lips trembled at his oily apology. "Is that all an apology is to you? After what you did..."
"I get it. I went too far." Lee Han leaned back against the sofa and sighed, acting as if he were the aggrieved party. "Just let it slide this once. I won’t do it again."
Han Sujin gritted her teeth at his words. Such shamelessness. There was no way she could trust him. But in that split second, a thought flashed through her mind. Could she somehow use this opportunity to her advantage?
Steeling her resolve, she looked down at Lee Han on the sofa. Her eyes glinted with a sharp, newfound intensity.
She took a deep breath and looked him straight in the eye. "How about... we take a break from our contract for a while? I feel like I’m going to collapse and give up if things continue like this."
At that, Lee Han flashed a grin and met her gaze. His eyes seemed to pierce right through her, reading her hidden intentions. "And why should I concede to that? Tell me, why should I?"
Han Sujin felt a surge of suppressed rage at his words. "It makes no sense for you to control the contract however you please! This is completely one-sided."
"You chose this. I didn’t force you," Lee Han retorted with a relaxed, mocking expression. A sharp pain pierced her chest. Right, it was a path I chose. What use is there in regretting it now?
Han Sujin looked up at the sky outside the window. How did it come to this? Why had she made such a choice?
Just then, Lee Han rose from the sofa and approached her slowly. "You’ve already come too far, anyway. Even if you try to escape now..."
Han Sujin glared at him, gritting her teeth. That face, filled with mockery, was utterly repulsive.
"Fine," Lee Han said suddenly, his voice smooth and polite. "I’ll do as you wish. Help me with just one last thing, and I’ll end our contract."
With that, he suddenly pulled her into an embrace from behind. Goosebumps broke out across her skin at the feel of his breath against her ear. "Even after our contract ends, I’ll ensure your position is secure. This is my final request. I swear it..."
Han Sujin squeezed her eyes shut at his devilish whisper. This is the last time? Is this just another trick?
But on the other hand, she had no choice but to hope. If this was a chance to escape... she had to bet everything on his word that this was the end.
"...Alright."
The word escaped with a sigh, heavy with pain. Han Sujin sensed that she was walking into yet another trap, but she had no other options.
Lee Han had already grasped the true motive behind her proposal. There was only one reason she’d suggest this: the child. If she became pregnant, it would be much harder for him to lay a hand on her.
'A child... now that would be an interesting development.'
Lee Han felt no real sense of loss. He had Park Mina now, after all. That woman would do anything he asked. He felt a slight pang of regret regarding Han Sujin’s attractive body, but it wasn’t worth losing sleep over.
A devilish smile curled his lips. He buried his face in the crook of her neck and whispered, "Then, until that time comes, our relationship continues..."
Though she showed signs of reluctance, Han Sujin naturally wrapped her arms around his neck, just like old lovers. Their bodies already knew everything about each other—what made the other excited, which stimuli made them tremble. Han Sujin habitually unbuttoned his shirt. Had she given up on resisting, or was she surrendering herself to a secret pleasure? In no time, their clothes lay in heaps on the floor.
Lee Han held her as if they were sharing a desperate, final love. Their lips tangled like waves, and their tongues explored each other’s breath. Every time their skin touched, a sharp thrill coursed through them.
In an instant, the living room was filled with a sweltering heat. Every time their sweat-slicked, bare skin collided, moans of lust erupted. Their names, breathed out like sighs, mingled in the air.
As if there were no tomorrow, as if this moment were their last, they tangled their bodies together with frantic passion. It was a time of madness, where reason vanished and only instinct reigned. The sound of bodies colliding, the rhythmic thrusting of hips, the screams that tore through the air at the peak of their climax...
The small apartment living room seethed with desire, betrayal, and twisted pleasure all through the night.
Han Sujin moved her body in sync with Lee Han’s powerful thrusts. Her legs wrapped around his waist, rising and falling like the tide. The sound of flesh slapping against flesh and the wet, squelching noises echoed violently.
"Ah... just... a little slower..."
Han Sujin let out a broken moan, but her body was honest. Her wet, secret crevice grew slick with desire, eager to take him even deeper.
Lee Han relentlessly drove his hips forward, stabbing deep into her core. A tension that felt like it would burst surged from her groin, tracing a line up her spine.
"Sujin... now..."
"Ugh... no... wait a second..."
Han Sujin tried to refuse with words, but her body, already accustomed to Lee Han’s rhythm, naturally twisted to accommodate him. A wave of intense pleasure shook her entire frame. She gritted her teeth and squeezed her eyes shut.
The sounds of their bodies colliding and the wet, slick noises grew louder. Their sweat mingled, and they were drenched in bodily fluids. She cried out, her voice raw from moaning. It was the moment when all senses reached their limit.
Gradually, Lee Han’s movements turned savage. He obsessively dug into the deepest parts of her.
Han Sujin writhed and clung to him as if meeting her own little death. Her insides contracted in a spasm. Finally, with Lee Han’s release, they reached a violent climax together.
Hot semen filled her deep within. She shuddered, overwhelmed by the sensation of her body being flooded with his traces and the ecstasy that washed over her. Soon, she lay limp, gasping for breath.
Lee Han remained buried deep inside her, kneading her breasts and letting out a satisfied groan. The aftershocks of their violent climax still rippled through them. Sated, he nipped at her neck like a beast.
Her desire was satisfied, but the emptiness only deepened. Han Sujin wept, wishing this moment would never end, wishing the sensation of being filled by him would last forever. Yet, at the same time, she desperately wanted it all to vanish into thin air.
Han Sujin and Lee Han lay side by side on the sofa. Their sweat-drenched, naked bodies cast strange shadows. Harsh, ragged breathing filled the room. In both their eyes, satisfaction and disillusionment were inextricably mixed.
Tears welled in Han Sujin’s eyes and streamed down her cheeks. Even while she refused him with her words, she felt a profound sense of guilt over the relationship with Lee Han to which she had become so accustomed.
'How did it come to this... why am I like this...'
Self-loathing weighed down her heart. Han Sujin felt a sense of hollow despair, as if she had signed a contract with the devil. Could she ever escape this cycle? Was there truly an exit?
But soon, she squeezed her eyes shut.
'No... this is all for Taeyoung. To protect our happiness...'
Han Sujin gritted her teeth and repeated it to herself. Even if it was dirty and painful now, she told herself it was all to protect her beloved husband. She wanted to believe it. No, she had to believe it.
But was it truly the case? It felt like an empty, twisted excuse. Han Sujin’s heart was split in two, each side whispering a different truth. She had no idea how to reconcile these contradictory emotions.
The tears streaming down her cheeks showed no sign of stopping. They were tears mixed with guilt, self-hatred, and a distorted obsession with Park Taeyoung. She prayed desperately that one day this would all end, that she would wake up from this nightmare. But perhaps, deep down, was she secretly hoping this sweet nightmare would last forever?
Han Sujin’s inner world was sinking deeper and deeper into a dark, murky swamp.
Lee Han, lying beside her, quietly held the weeping woman. He smiled, imagining Han Sujin carrying his child.
Whether a child would be a blessing or a curse for Han Sujin...
